It was a shame to see this once beautiful plantation laid to waste. Surrounded, once again, by factories and refineries(SO sad that this is what’s happened to an area known for beautiful old homes. F-ing big business ass-hats). This Large Creole Cottage style plantation was completely restored to its 1855 appearance both inside and out and was known for the beautiful ironwork porches. Until 2002, it was a working Bed and Breakfast. Sadly, in May of 2002, it burned to the ground. The girly took pictures and said despite the location and the fact that it was destroyed, she felt very peaceful on the grounds while taking her pictures. I hope someone is able to do something good with the land and it does not become another swallowed up parcel of land some chemical company exploits.
