We thought that we would give Dickys Clam Shack a try, so we headed over on a Thursday night and got a little bit of everything. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We are used to having fabulous fried seafood from Kool Kone in Wareham so I think that we were comparing it to them. The staff was nice, the truck was clean but we left hungry… bummer. A lot more expensive than we’re used to also for the amount that we received!

I’ll give it four stars. It’s a food truck on the side of the road. It has nice picnic tables to eat at and everything is very neat and clean. The burger I had was surprisingly good. You can tell it’s a store bought pattie, probably frozen but was very good. A friend gave me a clam cake to try also good, not out of the park but still better than a lot of other places. Price are fair. One of the better lunch options in the area

We loved the clam cakes and fried clams, there were even clams in the clam cakes. Picnic tables for you to sit and enjoy your treat.

Tried out this food truck today. The clam cakes are excellent. Top two or three cakes I’ve ever had. Super clean, light, not soggy. Very crispy, even after a 15 minute ride home. Chowder was excellent, too. Very creamy, good clam/potato ratio. It could have used a little more smokiness from some bacon or pork renderings, but it was rich and buttery. French fry size was a bit small it seemed, but I’ll be headed back here to try the burgers. Definitely go if you’re into clam cakes.
