Great lunch. Parmesan fries awesome. Delicious chowder. Goat cheese salad and fish sandwich were equally delicious. Will definitely come back

Came back with a friend this week. LOVED our waitress! We had great service and the buffalo chicken dip was perfect. The truffle fries were a pleasant surprise and the fish and chips were great as well. Will be back soon!

My first trip to the sail loft was for lunch. I had the clam chowder with a whole piece of fried fish placed on top. I’ve never seen this before. Very good. The chowder was thick and rich and the fish was fresh. I can’t believe I ate the who thing. The music was too loud to the point I had to ask our server 2 times if they could turn it down. I was there for lunch not to dance. Clean, friendly service overall. I’m going to give it another try. I’ll let you know.

Very pricey, but overall I thoroughly enjoy the food and people. I always have a great time here. If you are around here the view, people, and food are great!

Had baked mac and cheese with pulled pork. Was amazing. 10⁄10 would pull the pork again.

Waited 45 minutes plus for food, in a half filled restaurant. Had one waiter for all the tables. Under-staffed. During that time no one came over to ask for refill for drinks. We finally got the food. COLD! Six cold skinny chicken tenders, all breading, no chicken. Two tiny celery sticks and carrots. Will NOT come back, worst value for $$ in Dartmouth.

Love the relaxed atmosphere and the food tastes great. Have had a great meal everytime. Make sure you get a loyalty card. Great rewards. Favorite is the wedge salad with steak tips.

Went on a Saturday afternoon with very high expectations based on all the good reviews. We sat on the deck(which is dog friendly) First thing I noticed was that the menu is really small, and you can’t order any of the entrees before 5pm which makes it even smaller. We started with the BBQ pork nachos. They were good but some of the pork pieces were cold and bland. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and my boyfriend got the philly cheese steak bomb. They ran out of buns(at 3 o’ clock in the afternoon??) so he got it in a wrap. The steak was very bland. My chicken wrap was gross and soggy. The fries were very good. Also this is a place that really nickel and dimes everything. They already have ketchup and sour cream in little pre-portioned take out cups and only give it if you ask for it. It makes them seem really cheap to not just give it to you. I wanted to love this place but I don’t think I’ll ever be back. The only thing I really enjoyed was the deck because it was a beautiful warm day.

I went to Sail Loft for an early dinner yesterday after it was recommended by a couple of people, and it did not disappoint! My fiancé and I had been driving around all day, and I decided to pay him back for his help with dinner. When we got there I was a little surprised with the small number of tables(the only other people there are around 4:15 were sitting at the bar), but I just see the snowed over patio that is probably a great place to sit in the warm weather! Our waitress came over right away for our drinks. My fiancé got the Dire Wolf(I think he liked the name as much as the liquor in it) and I tried the Mad Hatter. Both drinks were delicious and really strong… Definitely worth the seemingly pricey cost of $ 8 – 9 for a small glass. We also tried the buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer, which may have been the best buffalo chicken dip I’ve ever had! Now, we did have a slight issue because the entrees were not available until after 5, and we didn’t realize this at first. I would have preferred to try one of the entrees, especially since I try not to eat gluten, but we were just too early. That meant it was time to cheat on my diet, and I got the Southwestern flatbread. And I am glad I did… It was delicious. I had the waitress recommend her favorite flatbread to me, and she did not steer me in the wrong direction. My fiancé had the 2K Chowder and loved it! This is definitely a great place to go, and we will definitely be sure to check it out again in the summer(and after 5pm).

We were on a bike ride in the area so I suggested a cocktail run at the Sail Loft. It’s a rustic little bar/restaurant on the water. The bar is shiny polished wood. It’s compact and tidy but plenty of tables. Outside tables are for dining and at a premium. We scored two high top stools on a side bar with views of the marina. The pretty bartender was very helpful in choosing a libation. My boyfriend loved his Bloody Mary. My house made Margarita was a tad sweet but fresh and chilly and delightful. We didn’t eat but the food being served, looked yummy. They have a great entertainment schedule. I am sure it’s hopping in peak season.

I would not go back to this restaurant. After reading reviews on Unilocal I was very excited to try the Sail Loft. It is located in a cute little area in Dartmouth. There is nice outdoor seating but the view is mainly of boats. Hard to see the water. My boyfriend and I came here and requested to sit outside, but we had to wait so we took a seat at the bar. It took a while for the bartender to acknowledge that we were there. Shortly after we were seated but it took a good 20 minutes before a waiter or waitress came to our table. My boyfriend got up to tell the hostess, and another 5 minutes later we were about to get up and walk out when someone came to the table. The food was decent. The calamari was not the popular«rings» version that is typically served and I was a little freaked out but it was in a tasty sweet and sour sauce. The food overall was not bad, however, the service was not up to par. The bill was expensive for what we received and the food is a bit overpriced. If your looking for fine waterfront dining, try the boathouse in Tiverton instead.

Cute little place in Padanaram village. I’d say everything about it had pros and cons: big pro is a nice back patio, fully covered so you could even sit outside if it was raining. But… view of the water is blocked by out-of-water boats(not off-season, early June). Cute inside, very friendly efficient service. I ordered fish tacos which were quite good, but needed a bit more ‘oomph’ somehow. All in all, worth a visit and I’ll be back. Not germane to my review but I’m going to mention it anyway… a peaceful Sunday afternoon was tarnished a bit by four obnoxious girls getting their drink on. To my chagrin I was able to tell by their conversation that they are RI’ers …as a lifelong RI’er myself I’ve always been puzzled by the anti-RI sentiment I’ve heard from MASSholes… well, now I get it.

*This review if for the bar service only. Padanaram is defined, per google, as a «charming fisherman’s village». For my family, it is defined as the closest form of civilization to our summer house. We utilize their few but valued amenities for everything possible(food, gas, hair salon, and most importantly, nightlife). Given the location, the town of Padanaram services mostly people passing through, whether from the nearby summer communities, stopping in for a regatta or sailing trip, or just tourists looking to see a typical New England village. That being said, most of the people are not from the area. This is why my family and I were so surprised when we were bluntly turned away from being served at The Sail Loft because we all had out of state licenses. We had a group of about 2021 – 28 year olds, with 4 Massachusetts ID’S, with the rest being a collection from CT, RI, NJ, of which the bar tender refused to serve us. Not only were we shocked, we were confused, frustrated, and rejected. In the town of Padanaram, there are no other options. I can honestly say we had never heard of being discriminated against by our state. Given it was just after 10:00, and we were a large crowd, perhaps the bartenders were getting ready to close up and didn’t want to deal with us. That is understandable, however, just tell us that. Excuses mean nothing if there is no reasoning behind it. To discriminate us by our state? Unheard of. Especially for a quaint, charming town such as Padanaram. The rude demeanor and GTFO glares from the barstaff sent us out and we meandered to the upscale bar(the only other bar) down the street, and stayed well into the night. It just didn’t make any sense for a new bar, to turn away such a large group, of which they probably would have doubled their nightly earnings in the hour we would be there alone. As a community member, and a Unilocaler, I wanted to reach out to share my thoughts that given this service, as well as bartending«rules», it might deter a lot of potential and local customers that come through in the summer. Let me also note that after perusing the other reviews, I notice that patrons from RI and TX mention ordering drinks from their menu. Peculiar, isn’t it?

What a pleasant surprise! We had purchased a Living Social deal and for some reason weren’t expecting a lot when we headed in. We found a nice, bright, airy spot that will have excellent outdoor seating and a water view during the warmer months. We started with the gold fever boneless chicken tenders. They were a good-sized portion and well sauced. I had the ricotta and sausage flat bread and was not disappointed. It was a good size(my husband had some as well) and had plenty of toppings. My husband had the Kamikaze burger. he said it was one of the best burgers he had ever had and after having a bite I have to agree! We’ll definitely be back.

It was a nice day out and we wanted to dine while looking at the ocean or some kind of water today. So, I thought of the Sail Loft in Padanaram, since we had never been. Unfortunately, whatever view is there of the water is blocked by the covered boats in the back. I was assured that they will be going into the water soon and there is a beautiful sunset to be seen from that back deck. We started off with drinks. I had the white sangria, which was very good, but Abner’s margarita was not to his liking. He said there was way too much sweet and sour in it. I got the chicken marsala, which came with mashed potatoes and garlic spinach. It was really delicious. Abner got the meatloaf with mashed and asparagus, which he said was very good. Our server was excellent and answered all of our questions. He told us about the ½ price appetizers EVERY day at 4:00. There is a patio out on the deck, which looks like a great place to go for drinks and appetizers after work. So, I’m going to keep this in mind as the weather gets warmer(and those boats are in the water and not blocking the view). If you check in on your Facebook, you get to pick a prize from a bag. I won two Sail Loft Koozies. I thought this was a nice thing to do. Fun. I liked it here at the Sail Loft and we will definitely be returning.

Came in here a couple of weeks ago. All in all, this is a great spot to grab a drink and an ok option for dinner. In a nutshell, the food timing is all off. Entrees were lagged and so were desserts(desserts were separated by 15 minutes which was unprecedented). Food rundown: — Lobster Mac & Chesse(C) — Barbecue Pork Nachos(A-) — Chili spiced Scallops(A) — Caprese Salad(B) — Chicken cutlet was average — Lobster tacos(A-) — really good but the odd taco shell detracted from the dish — Truffle Fries(A) — Brownie Tiramasu(C+)

I was out visiting my friend in this area and she recommended we try this restaurant that just opened. The Sail Loft is a nice place right on the water. The interior has a nice light wood finish and it appears to have a nice deck area out back(sadly it was cold so no deck for us…). They have a small yet diverse menu with salads, sandwiches, and seafood dishes(not only fried seafood which is nice), and a good number of specials each day. I went with one of the specials, a chicken and veggie pasta dish in a garlic butter sauce which was really good. The presentation was nice and the serving was appropriate for the price. The service was great. The waitress was very attentive and the manager came checked on us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our visit. I do not go out to this neck of the woods very often but if you are in the area I would give it a shot. Its nice moderately priced restaurant with a good food and a decent drink selection.
