I used Burke’s a few times before writing. First the good. Friendly people that greet you warmly when you come in. They’re busy but nice and get to you pretty quick. If you drop off before 1000 you can get your clothes back the same day with no additional charge!!! I didn’t do that but it’s nice to know it exists. My wife is in the Army so we put in a lot of uniforms. Now the bad. The prices are higher than most places we have ever been stationed around. They aren’t outrageous but I was surprised. And one odd thing … the button on her blouses are breaking in two. Not sure why. I’ve been sewing new ones on and so far none of the new one have broken but it sure is weird. Overall it’s a pretty good place.

Took a month to get a jacket repaired… zipper fixed. Quoted one price… was $ 15 more on pickup. Counter girl was snippy, said I could take it up with the seamstress if I didn’t like the price! Never again.

After going here for several years, we are now parting company. My boyfriend dropped his military uniforms to get his new rank sewn on and the items dry cleaned. One shirt was to be starched, the other was not. The camo was NOT to be pressed(as is the usual request) When we got them back, the stitching was too big for military regulations, they starched the wrong shirt, and the camo had been pressed, leaving button impressions on the outside of the shirt. This is not acceptable. When we told the lady the issues, instead of offering a solution, she told us to find a new place to go. We started looking. The next day, we got a call from Randy Burke himself. We explained the issues and he promised to look into it. Three days later, we went back to pick up the shirt again. Nothing had been done. In a later stapled to the uniform, he claims to have fixed the patches, but they are still too big. He says the button impressions couldn’t have happened with«one pressing». In that case, they had been pressing the uniform shirt every time we took it in after they were told NOT to press it. If they can’t handle that simple of a request, then it is no wonder they couldn’t figure out how to sew on the patches. He «dropped the charges», however we had already paid, and were not given money back so that didn’t even happen. Not to mention, a $ 40 +(if we can get another that fits in a surplus store) is ruined and must be replaced, which Mr. Burke did not offer to do. We will be going to someone else from now on, and not another Burke Cleaners. We are done.
