Cupcakes Muffins and More

Can’t believe I’m the first to review this no frills cupcake/​muffin shop!
When I travel for work, I always search for cupcakeries, and this seemed to be the only cupcake shop within walking distance of my hotel in Davenport. (and it was well within walking distance — glad I don’t live near a place like this — I’d weigh a million pounds)
The inside of the shop is nothing to speak of. There were a couple people hanging out reading the paper and drinking coffee, but there was a good selection of cupcakes and muffins. I bought a couple things to eat over the course of my trip — a pumpkin muffin, a cappuccino chocolate chunk muffin, and a chocolate cupcake stuffed with chocolate filling.
The cupcake was good… but, wow! Those muffins! I love cappuccino muffins and the one I had was absolutely amazing. Although it was hot as hades outside, I enjoyed the fall inspired pumpkin muffin. They were really very good — dense but not to heavy. Soft but not crumbly. THIS is how muffins should be made.
This is a definitely a little hidden gem worth checking out if you’re in the quad cities!
