Everything was clean, smelled nice, and staff was friendly, for $ 75 without any hassles it was totally worth it.

It’s ok for a night or two. However the breakfast is pretty sparse. There were kids running around in the halls late at night and either no one was at the front desk or didn’t want to answer.

Originally booked my hotel room on and then realized that I had booked the wrong day in error. I consulted with two members of the staff about this, Teresa and Bethany. Both ladies were very helpful. The customer service at this hotel is great. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area. Teresa was working the night shift and even though she was unable to resolve the issue at that time, she was very kind and did everything she could to help. Bethany resolved my issue the next morning and was polite, attentive and had a charming personality. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I checked in, and my room was about $ 70 something a night. It was decent, they were pet friendly — which was incredibly important, and they could fit me in and out of a much worse hotel. lol. The main reason it would have been the same average Days Inn experience as always is that the AC in my room didn’t work right. I like my rooms cold when I sleep, so this was an issue. I said something, they sent someone to fix it, but it only worked(on the highest setting possible), sporadically, and it felt like my room was 76, not 68. He came in and tested the air coming out of it(when it worked) and was like«says 52, it’s fine.» But the problem was it wouldn’t STAYON. It would shut itself off after being on a minute, thinking the room was the right temperature. The hallway entering the side door was colder than my hotel room where I had the ACCRANKED. For me, this was a problem. For others, may not have been a big deal.

Definitely A-OK. +Early check-in was available. +The room was very clean. +Quiet +No funky smells. +The mirror situation The décor was quite hilarious, but then again it’s a Days Inn, not the Four Seasons. Again, everything was clean, and that is what matters most to me. Approximately $ 80/night.

This is precisely what you’d expect from a Days Inn EXCEPT that there’s no elevator. It isn’t that the elevator is broken — there simply isn’t one. It’s a two-story building and the staircase is very wide so wrangling your luggage upstairs isn’t an issue. Just be prepared or request something on the ground floor.

When traveling across the country with a cat, finding the perfect hotel can be frustrating. The hotel that I was originally planning to stay at was booked, so I had no choice but to stay at the Days Inn in Davenport, IA, or drive an extra 170 miles to Des Moines, IA at 10pm. When I arrived in the room, it smelled like someone poured cat piss/litter(I am NOT exaggerating in the slightest) into the air vent. After a few minutes of staying in the room, I forgot some items in my car. Just as I had become accustomed to the smell, I walked back into the room and it hit me like a sack of bricks… The room itself was not as kept up as it should have been. The hotel staff was friendly enough, but after spending $ 96 for a sub-par room, I left feeling dissatisfied.

Growing up in my family had me very accustomed and familiar to the Days Inn chain. Some of the things I associated with this chain were: awful service, odd odors, worn down rooms, and things that were broken. I may not have experienced all of the above on every visit but there was at least one on each of our visits. It has been a while since I have stayed at a Days Inn. When my wife informed me that we were going to be visiting one on our recent trip to Davenport, all of those old memories started to flood back to me in a violent, painful rush,. After this current visit, I am rethinking my attitude toward this chain in general. This place was spotless, everything was in very good condition and well kept and for the price it really can’t be beat. I believe it was only $ 68 for our stay that night. The two biggest negatives were that this place is very difficult to access. The driveway is kind of obscured and it looks as if you are going into the used car lot which is right next door. Also the humidity level in the room was nonexistent. It was very dry in the room. Since these were really the only two minor negatives. I would definitely consider this place again the next time I venture out to Davenport.
