My first full weekend in the area after moving here for a career and we stumble into the perfect place on Fathers Day Sunday morning! Bloody Mary Cocktail is out if this world! Thai tacos were surprising and superbly done! California tacos were good. Salsa is FRESH and very tasty! Definite new haunt found and we will be back!

Our favorite place in the Quad Cities. Friendly staff/owners, quick service and delicious food. Excellent choices for breakfast(and other meals). Being able to sit outside with a great river view is also a plus. Highly recommended.

Giving this place 5 stars for location and options. Visiting from Iowa City for my daughters dance competition, but I wish I would have brought my road bike! Great trailhead or trails end for a beer, margarita, or adult popsicle. Btw, I did have a nice homemade chicken salad walnut salad. I’ll come back!

Saw an article in the Quad City Times yesterday(1÷20÷16) that spurred me to try the Thai noodles and I can honestly say that was one of the best tasting dishes I have had, regardless of the style of food. I have already been a relatively frequent customer for the sliders and sweet potato fries but not I will go even more often because of the noodles!!!

One of our fav places to eat! We especially love stopping by here off the bike path. Recently, they started serving alcohol and they have a great Bloody Mary Snack. The tacos are all exceptional! Thai, avocado, fish, and in the summer — grilled sweet corn taco. The avocado is fried in a light tempura batter for the avocado taco — yummo! My hubby likes the sliders especially the veggie patty one. Everything is fresh and they have some of their soups and breads for sale in the freezer. When the weather is nice, it’s great to sit out on the deck. Very nice staff!

I really wanted to love this place because it looked like a winner… fresh, local, veggie options. Unfortunately I went with my son and a friend and we ordered tons of items. Nothing was a wow for any of us. We tried various sliders, soups, sweet potato fries, hummus, cookies, etc. We agreed the staff was really friendly. The view was pretty. We wouldn’t be back to eat.

Delicious locally grown and produced foods. Just a few steps down from the front street brewery tap room. It’s right off the bike path too! I got the bacon double cheese grill and it was scrumptious. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite places to eat in the QC, all fresh local and organic. Doesn’t get much better than that. Vegan Flatbread with sweet potato fries on the side is amazing.

Large group went. There was an error with one order that wasn’t rectified the best, but the food was spectacular! I had a Double Cheddar Bacon sandwich and breaded cauliflower. I cannot rave enough about either! One suggestion I would have is to add some regular fries to the menu as many people associate those as a side to a sandwich. I look forward to eating here again!

THAICHICKENTACOS. Om nom nom. Before I delight you about the delicious, delectable THAICHICKENTACOS, I should probably introduce the restaurant. Fresh Deli provides great, local and sustainable food with options for meat-lovers, vegetarians, and vegans. Located right along the Mississippi River, this is the perfect place to dine alone, with a friend, or with a large group. During the summer, the patio is the PERFECT spot for outdoor diners. As a person who appreciates fresh, local ingredients and great customer service, Fresh Deli is always my number one lunch spot. Period. The menu offers a wide variety of foods, but they are best known for their sliders. Choose from hot or cold, meat or veggie, or both! Beware– the sliders come in generous sizes and are loaded with flavor. Don’t be afraid to try something new here, there’s a 100% chance you’ll like it if it sounds good. My #1? THAICHICKENTACOS. With a side avocado salad that comes with homemade croutons AND vinaigrette dressing. Finished off with a homemade popsicle. :) Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

I was so pleased to find this place! Being on the road for weeks at a time — I’m thrilled whenever I can find fresh, local, exciting places that clue me into local happenings. Well Fresh Deli fits the bill. If this was in a city like San Diego or L.A. — people would be going nuts over it — situated right on the banks of the mighty Mississippi, in an old historic freight house– providing a wide array of local products. I didn’t expect to find local beef and meats, handcrafted mexican-style popsicles, fresh breads and pastries served alongside their kitchen fare. I had the Hawaiian flat bread and mushroom flatbread with balsamic drizzle. Both were quite good, the flat bread sort of reminded me of a bialy in taste and texture — it was delectable. While the mushroom was totally delicious — good texture and teaming with mushroomy yumminess, I wished for a little more balsamic drizzled on. However, I’ve got mo criticism for the Hawaiian because … ITISPERFECT! I thought the PBJ flatbread at Mohawk Bend in CA was the ultimate in Hammy, Pineapple goodness(which by the way I’m not really a fan of so it’s got to be something ultra special to catch my attention) — but nope, hands down — this beats it. Fresh pineapple and chunks of grilled ham really take Nostalgia Farm’s Hawaiian flatbread to a-whole-nother level. The open and welcoming family vibe is totally awesome. And to top it off they’re hosting a Rocky Horror Picture Show Sing-along-Dinner! Yes please!

This is one of the most welcomed restaurants to the area. It’s extremely kid-friendly with options for them and wonderful tasting food. Vegetarian and vegan options available. One time it was pretty rainy out and we were trying to wait for the rain to pass. We had our 4 year old with us and he was antsy to get over to the park to play. One of the workers, I think it was the owner, turned their TV from news to the Disney Channel so that he would be pacified while waiting for our food and for the rain to stop. We frequent this place on a weekly basis and hope it sticks around for awhile!

Fresh Deli is SUCH a welcome addition to the Quad-Cities, which is somewhat light on sustainable, farm-to-table restaurants. Although it’s tucked away from the main drags, it should be easy for produce-minded diners to find since it’s right next door to the farmers market. Don’t just plan to come on Saturdays, though! I visited with a friend and my parents, whose tastes range from vegetarian to meat and potatoes. All were pleased! My gazpacho was very fresh and had a nice herby kick from fresh basil. The spinach salad included a colorful combination of greens, oranges, apples, purple onions and walnuts; served alongside a lemon poppyseed dressing. The patio seating near the river is lovely. Next time I come I’d love to order a homemade popsicle to enjoy for dessert while watching the sun set!

What an adorable find in the city! The restaurant has some veggies growing out front, welcoming you and beckoning you in to try some of their locally grown food! I enjoyed the veggie patty, a combination of chickpeas, navy beans, and chopped vegetables grilled and topped with provolone cheese, onions, and mayo. Veggie burgers are hit or miss; Fresh Deli’s definitely hit the mark. Throwing in a side of the homemade sweet potato fries, I left the lovely patio with a full belly and wallet — a great value for a company doing things sustainably.

Horrible Customer Service Avoid at all Costs!!! Visited Saturday at 11:00am waited in line 20 minutes just to order. I ordered pulled pork sliders for my daughter and specifically asked for no pickle or coleslaw on the sliders. When our order arrived the sliders had coleslaw and pickles I sent them back twice. The owners mother brought the food back saying” is this yours” and left it on the table. It still had coleslaw. I took it back in said my daughter doesn’t want this. She told me it wasn’t written on the ticket. Refused to fix it or offer my money back. When I told her I hope that was worth losing a frequent customer, She told me «that’s alright there are other restaurants.» My total bill was 0ver $ 40 for four lunches.

Only reason I came here is because of the reviews on Unilocal so I thought I’d try it. All I can say is I am really impressed with this place. The yellow potato salad was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before… which is a good thing! I also enjoyed the Buffalo chicken sandwiches. I think I have found yet another good place to eat lunch at around the Quad cities. Thanks fellow Unilocalers!
