Games Plus One

Always good stuff here. Gets the new stuff in on time and will reserve copies for me. Nice store, gaming space available, and knowledgeable staff.

While most game stores strive to be called a FLGS — Friendly Local Game Store, this place is seriously lacking in the friendly department. Sure they have a good selection of board games, minis and RPGs. But I have been in that store 3 different times over the past two years and each time NO ONE has ever said «Hello’ or «Can I help you?» Usually they were engaged in some conversation about Magic or what have you but the fact that they were so focused on talking with their regulars to even acknowledge a newcomer says a lot about the store owners. Mind you, I didn’t just pop my head in and then leave, I was there for at least 15 minutes each time. If you cannot pull yourself out of your conversation to simply greet a customer then you care more about that conversation than new customers. Like I said, not real friendly.
I hold out hope for the store and give it 2 stars if only for the fact that they also have a decent game room with 10 tables and a store collection of games to play. Still, a store that isn’t interested in showing some customer service isn’t going to last long.
