John’s Towing

Johns Towing has always been there for me and my family. I have broke down in a busy intersection and Todd was there before the police could show up. Always gave me and family members a ride home and delivered the van to my house. Couldn’t ask for better service. Great rated and Never a problem.

My husband and I were driving back to Chicago from Des Moines when we had some car trouble. We were able to pull over in Davenport. We called johns towing to get us to a dealer to work on our car. Service was prompt, the price was fair, and the guy who towed our car with us was very friendly. He told us how to get back to 80 from where he left us, talked to us about the town, just Great customer service. They made the unpleasant experience of breaking down a little better with their excellent service. Highly recommend.

First the good … it’s rated one star because you cannot give zero stars. Now the bad, there’s so much it’s tough to put it all here but suffice it say if you have a choice DO NOT USE this place. I had a car shipped in from out of state and the clown picked it up … and I’m addressing that with the car shipper now. The car arrives 10 Sep, we pick it up 19 Sep. We are a military family so we couldn’t pick the car up immediately. John’s place (appropriate name) calls us at 2242 10 Sep. We pick the car up and find a lot of damage and a bill for $ 53.50 for storing the car for 5 days over his proclaimed 7 day free limit. At no time during our phone conversations with his office did anyone say we accrued storage fees after 7 days. Regardless, I’m sure you are doing the math … 10 – 19 Sep is not 12 days. Anyways, he holds the car hostage until we over pay him for a damaged car. He lied to us repeatedly about the delivery date of the car and why we should have to overpay him for our damaged vehicle. In my opinion it is one of the most pathetic auto «service» places I have ever seen.
