What a dump! This is a rundown, seedy, gross, dirty old pool/bowling alley that could use a renovation from a bulldozer. I took my family here to celebrate my 6 year old’s birth day. We were greeted by a man and his attitude was so poor and sense of customer service so lacking that I actually questioned whether it was part of an act. We were quickly assigned a lane with plenty of room around us but this entire facility looks like something in an outtake from Leaving Las Vegas or Kingpin. I’m serious, the last time that this place received an update was no earlier than 1970. The equipment is old and tired and the lanes are the plastic replacement kind that just don’t cut it. When I walked next door to get a beer because our server was too young to serve us, I heard the bartender in the pool hall refuse to turn on the Iowa vs Iowa State game and question the patron who asked by asking«who would want to watch that junk anyway?» Skip this dump and if you need to go bowling, go elsewhere.

Every time the hubby & I go back to Iowa to visit his fam, we go out bowling with his high school friends at Miller Time. There are a ton of lanes, & even when it’s league night, we’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for a lane. Rates are cheap as is renting shoes. The only downside is that you reek of stale, cigarette smoke when you leave, but I’ve been spoiled living in cities that have banned cigarettes in public areas!
