We went because of the reviews. Not the best Asian food I’ve had. We ordered a medium phở but it was a super small bowl. The phở was mediocre. I order a vermicelli bowl and the sauce was bland. The spring rolls only had lettuce, pork and shrimp. It advertised with bean sprouts and mints. Definitely not good Vietnamese food. Not returning. I haven’t had good Asian food in Davenport yet.

Man, this Iowa trip did not start off right. Broth for the phở is NOT good. Elsewhere usually finish them, but this one I just can’t. Price… well, since supply is low so… $$

Phở was just okay. The standard size was extra small comparing to other places. Broth was way too salty. I have not tried other stuff yet. As far as rating for phở, I only gave 2 stars…

We stopped in on a whim, excellent food! Asparagus wrapped w/beef do tender, scallops so yummy, spring rolls amazing, the Phở honestly so good! Clean, quick service! We are from Vegas & this by far compares or exceeds our expectations!!! Loved it!

I travel all over the States for work and when I do I eat Phở almost everyday(my husband is not a fan) this might be the best Phở in the States.

WOW it’s my first time taste phở like soy sauce mix with hot water. I order large bowl but it came out little bit of noodle and 5 pieces of meat ball. It’s rip off place to come

Vietnamese food can be very good if it is made right. This place has done it right. I don’t usually like the ambiance of an ethnic food place because it is almost always mediocre at best. This place is a little different. They have done a very good job with this place. They have diner like sitting. There is some private space for a date and a large group alike. Food is delicious. I would strongly recommend their spring rolls and noodle dishes. These are made with mixed ingredients(veg. and animal products) but you can ask them to make it in vegan and they will not disappoint you. Portion sizes are great and you will definitely enjoy their food even the next meal.

With the limited selection of phở in the area this is a nice place to satisfy that phở craving.

We were passing by and wanted to grab a bite to eat. I Unilocaled for phở and this is the only phở spot for Davenport. Came in here because they had high ratings. We walked in around 3pm and didn’t see any customers. Didn’t think anything of it and ordered. The food came out 10 minutes later. My Husband ordered the pork vermicelli and it looked gross. The bean sprouts and the mint they put on top for garnishing looked so old. The mint was almost a black color and the bean sprouts were slimy. Of course my Husband isn’t going to eat it so he picked it out. My bowl of Phở Bo Vien tasted so bad that I couldn’t even take 2 bites. I’m still so thirsty from those two bites because of the amount of MSG in it. I’m 100% Vietnamese and believe me… this isn’t the way Vietnamese food is suppose to taste. I live in California and if they were ever to open their restaurant in LA or San Jose they would have been out of business a long time ago. I really don’t like to leave bad reviews but if it’s really bad, I feel the need to… so others won’t waste their time and money coming into an establishment like this. If you don’t know what authentic Vietnamese food is suppose to taste like… this is the place for you.

The food reminds me of viet food I’d get back in New York. The phở is good, as was the vermicelli bowls. Recently came back and got a bento box that had some good beef, as well as a delicious pork banh mi. Do recommend for some good Asian food.

Wonderful find on the road to St. Louis! Delicious phở, crunchy tasty dumplings and lovely spring rolls. Lots of fresh veggies! Very pretty little bistro and nor staff. Will definitely come again!

4.5 stars for the food, 4 stars overall. Driving through to Chicago, we made a stop for lunch. This place is unassuming and not fancy, but it is clean and the food was tasty. The spring rolls were solid, served with a great dipping sauce. Pot stickers were fairly good. The real star was the Phở. I had the Phở Saigon(brisket, eye of round, meatballs). The broth was some of the best broth I’ve had. Great flavor, lots of different spices. If I lived here, this place would be on my regular rotation.

Today is Chinese New Year. It’s about -20 °F outside. I order beef hot pot to pick up, then add some vegetables I have at home! Delicious! Warm! Happy! Happy sheep year to everyone! :)

I was in the Quad Cities for the half marathon and as we were leaving town, we decided to try this place. They have a HUGE menu. But they were out of a lot of the stuff that Sunday morning. We tried to order spring rolls, but they told us they were out. My friend tried to order a smoothie and they were out of that too. It was 12pm on a Sunday so I’m guessing they weren’t out because they had sold out for the day but because they hadn’t purchased enough ingredients with their last order. They did, however, have the phở lunch special which we both ordered. It came with a bowl of hot phở and 5 dumplings. It was really well priced at 6.99. The phở broth was tasty and it had slices of beef, but it did not come with the more interesting pieces of cow like tendon, tripe, etc. I would come back, but I wasn’t wow-ed.

Three of us came to this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch after noticing a string of raving reviews on Unilocal. With natural lighting penetrating the front door windows, the décor was underscored by its grey tiled floors, red and beige walls, and dark brown tables to bring about a clean and orderly atmosphere. At the time, there were only two other diners at the restaurant. The vibe was quiet and casual as we sat and chatted close to the windows by the door. The Nem Nuong($ 3.99) was advertised on the menu as ground pork skewers, but it turned out to be two flat pork patties nicely seasoned and garnished with carrots, bean sprouts, green onions, and peanuts. The iteration of Nem Nuong was drastically different from those that looked like a pork sausage or skewers of meatballs, and prompted me to verify if we got the right dish. Taste-wise, the ground pork appeared fatty and the seasoning tasted too light. It could really use a deep lemongrass and fish sauce flavor to anchor the lifts stemming from the fatty pork. It was also not a good dish to split between three people, and I wished the server would say something about it at the time of ordering. The Phở Tai($ 7.99) came with beef slices on the side, fresh veggies, and rice noodles. The broth was very weak and lacked the deep bone marrow flavors and complex seasoning to provide that deep desirable aroma. The quality of the beef was decent, and the selections of veggies were quite standard. My friends liked their phở, but there are many other superior places, including Aroy-Dee, a Des Moines establishment that many Unilocalers tend to overlook. Service was minimal and limited to taking our order, bringing the food, and the check. It was a quick lunch as we got back on the road soon after the visit. Due to the high phở prices, small portions, and poor quality, I won’t be coming back.

Davenport has a place they can be proud of! They have an awesome lunch special, $ 5.99 for phở and dumplings what a nice deal. I have got that a few times and always leave full. The phở is great and the broth is rich and full of flavor. Real good stuff here, I am not sure if there is another place in town but place can hold the title for the Quad cities. Eggrolls are okay, as well the sweet and sour. The dumplings are a better way to go here. But the phở is on point here.

Great place for Vegetarians! Lots of options and they are flexible on substituting any meat for Tofu! I was stuffed with the veggie Phở, which was spiced to perfection, no Hoisin sauce needed! But the spring rolls were to kill for, had to orders! I would rate 5 stars, however the Thai tea was lacking it’s perfectness. But I’m definitely stoping by again.

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I must have caught this place on a bad day. The Saigon rolls were basically nothing but onion, and the pork with glass noodles was marginal at best. The pork on it was some pre-formed patty with fake grill marks. I couldn’t eat it. The seasoning on the noodles was pretty good, so that’s about all I ate. Not going back…

For those of you traveling through Iowa on I80 or I74, this is a fairly easy on and off. If you, like me, are an Asian food fan, this will be a treat, compared to the ubiquitous fast food chains. The service is fast and efficient. The menu has an extensive variety of choices. There are lunch specials, called Bento boxes for $ 5.99. You choose steamed or fried rice, or noodles. Then you select a protein and sauce. The box meal is served with either a soup or salad, 2 fried dumplings and a couple of crunchy shrimp chips round out the meal. The portions are reasonable, and will satisfy all but the truly ravenous. These would be perfect for those on a diet. Saucing is very minimal and veggies are crisp and colorful. Nothing was exceptional, but nothing was bad either. That being said, even bland Asian food is far superior to fast food.

Decent phở with a good amount of meat in it. And the Lemongrass chicken was pretty good as well(recommended by our waiter). I haven’t had lemongrass chicken before though, so I can’t say I’m the best judge of how it compares to other ones. But the taste was good, unique … just a bit on the salty side though. Nothing that a good amount of rice can’t fix. Wish the portions for this were a bit bigger though. Waiter was friendly and talked to us a bit. Service was really quick too(though we were the only people in the restaurant at one point since we had a late dinner). Will definitely come back to try some more things on the menu.
