Birdsnest

I’ve Found two of my favorite records here and in really good condition! Harvest by Neil Young and Damn the Torpedoes by Tom Petty. It’s a small place with a small selection but what I’ve found was great and a reasonable price.

I’ve driven by this place so many times and never noticed it, since the sign for it is small and kinda hidden. Birdsnest is actually located right upstairs from the Needlecraft Center on Main Street in Davidson. It seems weird, but you walk into the house and head upstairs to the second floor.
The Birdsnest consists of a retail shop and a place to get some music lessons. There is a little room that is cluttered with tons of vinyl records, which is what drew us here in the first place. The prices were pretty good and the quality of the records was great. They also have a small selection of CDs and other music formats, but it’s mainly about the records. There are other rooms upstairs that are dedicated to music lessons, both instrumental and vocal.
Birdsnest is a pretty cool addition to downtown Davidson and worth checking out if you want some vinyl or want some professional assistance in becoming a rock god.
