Homewood Suites Davidson

Overall not a bad hotel. The staff was very courteous. My only real complaint is the free breakfast which is overpriced. There was very little variety. The eggs and sausages were very cold and the coffee was very weak, even the dark roast. Also would’ve been nice to have a larger pillows in the room.

Overall okay. Two biggest complaints are 1) climate control is very loud 2) pillows are way too small, I think about 12″ X 12″.

SUPER DUPER desk manager Dave not only let me out of my reservation after the cancellation deadline, but found me a room in a neighboring Hilton property after I decided I wanted to stay in the area another night and the Homewood was booked. !!! You just don’t get better customer service — even as a Diamond HHonors member this was above and beyond. Dave seemed like a genuinely nice guy who was just out to do a customer a solid. I’m in the area doing some genealogical research and you better believe I’ll be back to this property, probably within the next few months. I see the hotel is highly rated and I can guess why — good management. THANK YOU!

Love this place. Rooms are nicely done. Furniture is comfortable and beds are great. Get the double queen room if you don’t need a king. These rooms are on the end away from the road and typically with a view of the lake.

Delicious complimentary breakfast, dinner during the week, and wine and beer is included? Color me happy. Though we only stayed for about 15 hours, this Homewood Suites location didn’t disappoint any of us in the group. We enjoyed a suite with a king bed and two queens in two separate rooms which shared a living area. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioners powerful, both essential in a quality hotel room.
As far as beds go, these were like sleeping on clouds. Billowing pillows, warm blankets, no scratchiness to be found. The pressure in the showers was grade-​A and the bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner) smelled fresh and pleasant. I will say that one of the two rooms had a strange positioning of the sink in the bathroom, making it impossible to access without shutting the bathroom door. Weird, but only a minor inconvenience.
The free office/​business center printed our boarding passes quickly and there was no need to log-​in. The free wifi was consistent and fast, and took care of all of our needs.
The eggs at breakfast were a little runny for my tastes, but the other options (sausage, toast, bagels, cereal, potatoes) were all tasty. We would stay again in a second, this is definitely the most convenient Davidson spot to visit my little brother in the future!

Nice hotel with the bonus of being situated near a wedding the girlfriend and I attended. The hotel itself is nestled into a small neighborhood that houses some other townhomes and some retail spots like Subway, Citgo, and other small food joints.
The rooms were very clean and plenty of space, hence the ‘suite’ designation. Honestly I like the room separation you get at hotels like this but the most important bonus is the mini-​kitchen that comes along with it. It’s a nice thing to be able to keep drinks cold or have the use of a microwave even.

Nice hotel very convenient to Davidson. I’ve stayed here a couple times for business. The rooms have flatscreen tvs with some HD channels, but the tvs are small. Overall, this Homewood is a great place to stay.

Prepaid the reservation for one night, got to Hotel and was informed that it was a smoking room. I said I booked a non smoking room. She stated can’t change reservation. I asked if they had any non-​Smoking rooms, yes we have available. But I would have to charge you full price for another room. So let me get this straight, you have rooms available, but because I prepaid room you can’t switch me to the same room non-​smoking. WTF, she told me to call Hilton reservations and see what they can do. Long story, Hilton told me to tell desk person to switch it, she did stating no charge. Next morning same desk clerk charged my credit card, then apologized and said she would reverse it. But could not print out the document stating that. No name badge on her, no manger at night or morning… sadly frustrated– I blame manager for very poor training on customer service.
Over all hotel clean, nice and comfortable.

Very nice home-​away-​from-​home suite-​style hotel. I have stayed in ALL of them (Fairfield, Springhill, Residence inn, etc.) and this place is my favorite so far. Rooms have a small kitchen, flat-​screen TV, free wi-​fi, free breakfast, coffee maker (microwave and in-​room bag of popcorn) fitness center, indoor pool and super-​duper comfy beds. There were 6 fluffy, comfy pillows, and the bed was medium firm and not lumpy or squeaky. I was impressed with the free dinner offered in the downstairs lounge. The offerings change nightly and there is only 1 choice for the main course and side each night but the dinner that I had was good and satisfying (small salad bar, cheese tortellini with chicken breast slices and alfredo sauce, garlic bread and peas for a vegetable).

It’s nice. All the rooms are tiny suites small kitchens. The place is clean and feels rather new.
