I love Davidson. I grew up within 20 miles of Davidson and I live here now. It’s a great community but too much traffic because of I-77. the pedestrian areas are dangerous these days. We need more police on bikes and in town to control the traffic and pedestrians that do not use the crosswalks downtown. It’s crazy!

I live here so I’m a little biased. Davidson is for lack of a better word incredibly«quaint». Home of Davidson college, Steffan Curry’s Alma Matta, this is a very active town. There are people bicycling, running, even paddle boarding on Lake Norman and Lake Davidson. Main Street is littered with wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to live.

Quaint town in NC wonderful little shops and great restaurants. Home of Davidson college and Kindred Restaurant(James beard Nominee) excellent coffee at summit coffee. A wonderful farmers market on Saturday Mornings and concerts on the town green on Sunday evening where the whole town turns out with picnics that rival most 4 course dinners.

The town of Davidson is so sweet and picturesque. It’s a dreamy little college down with a nice downtown. There’s some great coffee places(like Summit Coffee), restaurants and shopping including some stores with great local artist representation. Lots of stores seem to close around 6pm and thats probably my only complaint.

4.5 stars, the town of Davidson is a very little unique picturesque place with tons of trees, Davidson College, restaurants and little shops lined on a center strip. I definitely suggest newcomers to the Charlotte area to visit here. it has personality and class. A great day trip.
