Antonio’s Pizza-Rant

I have been going to this neighborhood restaurant for many years and it has consistently been excellent. I usually get takeout, but when we eat in, the service is excellent. The portions are large and the food is delicious. My favorite dish is the seafood combo. It is a huge portion of spaghetti covered with shrimp, clams, calamari and scungilli in a delicious red sauce. It comes with soup or salad and garlic rolls. The lunch specials are great also — large portions for a low price. I highly recommend Antonio’s!

Great place to eat weather it’s a hot date or the entry family! I used eat there during lunch hour from Racal Datacom days gone by. Waitress tonight HAS to be new! She didn’t come by after giving us dinner. Didn’t ask if we’d like Parmesan cheese. Came when we were nearly done asking if there’s anything else we needed. Other Than waitress, overall good.

I have nothing bad to say about this pizza joint. I go here at least 5 times a month. Great pizza! I love my pizza with red wine vinegar (not vinagrette) to give it that extra sweet kick and the employees look at me crazy when I ask them for a side of it. They always bring back vinagrette. You would think Italian pizza places know what red vinegar is lol but still great pizza!

Absolutely fantastic local Italian/​pizza place! We placed a pick-​up order on this particular occasion after having a co-​worker bring in some food for lunch one day. The food was amazing and we were seriously craving the Stromboli! For some reason Google maps had an issue with the address so for general location, they’re in the Publix plaza, just to the right of Publix, on the south side of SR84 just west of 136^th. Antonio’s is a very simple no frills local restaurant but the food and staff were top notch. We were greeted upon entry by several employees which was refreshing. Being a «true Unilocaler» I started taking photos right away since I noticed they were lacking. I love that the pizza chef posed for a photo without hesitation! He was super friendly and said he has worked at that location for about 8 years! Happy employees = happy customers! We ordered two large Stromboli’s for four people, and had some leftover for the next day as well. I’m not a huge fan of pizza but this Stromboli is to die for and a serious crowd favorite! You must get one! It’s filled with delicious meats (pepperoni, ham, capicole, and salami) and cheese! You can ask for a side of red sauce (do that) to dip in! SO YUMMY! They also have the most amazing garlic rolls! Not «knots»… actual garlic ROLLS! It’s really hard to find a local place that makes a decent garlic roll these days and theirs are phenomenal. Even though we didn’t dine in on this particular occasion the restaurant was very clean and wasn’t totally packed, however, I imagine on game nights and weekends they’re probably much busier since it is in a popular plaza in a great neighborhood. Antonio’s has a large open dining area and would be great for a large crowd or family dinner! I’m so happy I found this hidden gem and even more excited to have a new «local» pizza place! I highly recommend a stop in… and be sure to save me a garlic roll!

We come here at least three time a month! Love the pizza and calzone! Their garlic rolls are the best… We have tried other pizza places around the neighborhood but always come back here! :)

Let’s see… I ordered for delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour then I get a call telling me that it would be an additional 30min to an hour! Sorry but 2 hrs is way too long to get a pizza delivered! When I asked the guy on the phone if he was serious he was completely unapologetic about it and like «yes!» On a side note i went in once and ordered a Greek salad and I was brought a salad with no olives! Last time I checked olives were an integral part of a Greek salad but apparently they ran out. I think it would have been nice if they had informed me before putting it on the table… I don’t know, the jury is still out on this place based more on service than anything else.

Great pizza joint! Very family oriented and perfect for large family party or kids bday. This is nothing fancy, it’s a pizza joint, so don’t take your date here unless he/​she is a cheap date. Majority of demographics of customers are: kids with family, just kids (where’s parents?), and old (er) couple.
Pizza is priced reasonably, waitress (our table was served by Jenna) works very hard to make sure we were well taken care, and pizza was good — I’ve been craving good slice and this place reminded me of my fav «hole on the wall» pizza places in NYC.
Lots of parking space, if you need to have your tire or oil changed while eating, Tire King is in the same parking lot.

This placed got closed down from health inspectors a little over a year ago for having rats!!! That should tell you what you need to know.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The food is great and the service is excellent. Whether you dine in or take out, I give them a 5 out of 5. The employees go above and beyond to make sure you are happy.

I’m trying to find a reason to give Antonio’s less than 5 stars, but I can’t.
I moved to Jacaranda a few weeks ago and have been going to Antonios a few times a week since for the awesome lunch specials. $ 8 bucks for a Chicken Marsala with soup/​rolls/​pasta? Can’t beat it. Delicious too.
Staff is always friendly as well. I’ll keep coming back until I have a reason not to!

Stay away. The customer service stinks. I walked in and asked to place an order for a large group. We will be walking in about 10 – 15 minutes for seat down service. Response ‘we can’t do that’ why not? ‘It’s not allowed’. Me, hmmm ok can I place a order to go we will take it with us? One employee responds, it takes just as much time to do that. Second employee says you can’t place an to go order in person’. Me, ‘really, so you don’t like selling pizzas and making money? Have a good night, good bye.
I was stunned at the lack of iq here. Plus there was such attitude I was afraid they would most likely spit in my food. Good luck Antonio’s.

Amazing pizza. I love pizza and usually mom and pop chains don’t really blow me away. This is a great place and their margherita pizza is fantastic. Delivery is a little slow but it’s worth the wait. Nice tiramisu as well.

Horrible customer service. Insisted I ordered mushrooms on my pizza. I avoid mushrooms at all costs! I order philly cheese steaks and always have them hold the mushrooms! But this order taker insisted that not only did I order mushrooms but she repeated it twice. Didn’t happen. Then I ask to speak to a manager and he says «yeah I heard her repeat it twice.» Man, just admit your mistake and make a new pizza instead of making crap up!

A solid pizza (as others have noted). Toppings were plentiful, good seasoning and crust was nice and crunchy. I opted to pick up, rather than delivery. And they said 20 min, and I showed up in 20 min and it was ready to go.
Was this the best pizza I have had… no. But its probably the best within my delivery area.

My family, immediate and in-​laws, have been coming here long before I was thought of. Buried deep inside an eclectic shopping center gives it a sort of «hole-​in-​the-​wall» feel. Make no mistake, this «hole» has some of the best italian food I’ve ever consumed.
Before I depart this blue marble, I will find a way to duplicate their pizza ingredients for my home use. The crust is always perfect, their sauce is amazing, and whatever cheese they use is nothing I can find anywhere. Pasta, seafood, subs, they do everything right.
Customer service has never been a problem, both front– and back-​of-​the-​house. Waiters and waitresses are generally positive and have never been rude. Any issues are resolved quickly and satisfactory.
While I don’t know if I will be living around here long enough for my (future) children to indulge in this place, I highly recommend everyone try it.

Just went for the first time — a party of 4 adults and 9 children in total. We came on a Wednesday eve for the children’s special — $ 5 per child and they can make their own pizza. The process is a bit slow but once it was time for the kids to create their masterpieces, they had so much fun with it. When the pizzas arrived, they were piping hot, crusty and melty, and oh so tasty! Children can pick from several toppings during the ordering/​creating of the pizzas (each topping is $.50). I think that because they were involved in the process, they were more apt to try new combinations, which was truly a bonus!
I ordered the Chicken Marsala which was fantastic. The entrees come with soup/​salad, rolls/​garlic knots and spaghetti. The portion size is large — enough for two small appetites or one hungry adult. All the adults in our party enjoyed their meals as well.
I was also extremely pleased with the service we received. Our server was attentive and patient. I’m sure you can sympathize with a server who had a party as large and as «young» as ours. We plan to frequent this great family-​friendly restaurant.
