We tried this place because I found a Groupon which was $ 28 for $ 60 of food. We got an appetizer, two entrees and dessert. It was ok for me and the wife but certainly not a family style setting, it it’s quite dark inside. They play country music, the waitress run around in really short shorts. The food was average at best. Ranch dressing was kind of sour tasting, steak was fatty with a lot of grissle. My wife was freezing the entire time we were there. They had one IPA on tap. Not a place we will ever go back to. We went Tuesday night during dinner time there were only 3 other tables with patrons in a place that can easily hold 100 ppl.

The food is below average and overpriced. I had the NY strip, ordered medium rare, cooked medium well, but the piece of meat was so thin and fatty it would not have mattered how it was cooked. My friend had ribs which were flavorless and fatty. Looks like the place has a big draw at, so they should probably just stick to bar food and drinks.

Worst place ever, they don’t play country. The servers are assholes. The Dj sucks. Food is horrible, beer is warm. If you like watching fat nasty hoes dancing this is the place for you.

I checked in on Unilocal and they have a free shot special(they gave me a drink instead). You have to check into their Facebook page first to get onto the free wi-fi. Internet service inside is nil! The bartender helped me log in so that I would get the free drink. Its a popular spot for young people and has great country music with a back area that plays hip hop, edm etc. Two worlds into one! I have been here on a Saturday night(well it was wee in the hours of Sunday morning) and a Friday night. Pool table, darts, hookahs and mechanical bull as well. They need to offer Country Line Dancing for Dummies!!! I would attend. On the downside, they do allow smoking and the ladies night drinks made my friend sick. I had no problem but only had 2 drinks.

Had a reservation at 7pm, but they didn’t have it in their book. Took 20 minutes to even get our drinks. The food was average at best. Steak was bland and unseasoned, they didn’t have a side that I ordered and never gave me the replacement potatoes that ordered. And no dessert left by 9pm. Horrible experience. Will never go back.

I love country music, but the country bars in Davie leave a little bit to be desired for me. The downsides for me at Cowboys in my mind are that they allow their patrons to smoke inside(it’s 2016, we know it’s terrible, and second hand smoke kills too), they have a cover charge(they will wave this if you have dinner there, or if there is a concert in the area and you show your ticket), and they have an 18 and over crowd(I’m too old for the young crowd vibe). Despite my issues, I’ve been here quite a few times. I’m not much into the line dancing, but they have a big dance floor that draws a lot of people, and often radio stations are there live playing music and giving away tickets to something or other. I’ve also been here for a concert, which I quite enjoyed(Colt Ford a few years back). I like this place as a concert venue because it is more intimate. In general though, I’m not much for the club atmosphere, and really Cowboys is a club, it’s just a country one(and not the fancy kind). This past weekend we attended the Garth Brooks concert at BB&T and wanted to find a place for happy hour in the area. We realized that any sports bar was out because it was Saturday night and NFL playoffs so we knew all those places would be packed. We ended up at cowboys around 6pm on a Saturday. To my delight the place was pretty empty and we were able to grab seats at the bar. The bartender was great and greeted us, and gave us the happy hour menu. Cowboys does happy hour Tuesday through Saturday from 5 – 8 at the bar. A Saturday happy hour that runs until 8pm? I’m sold. There is no cover charge during happy hour. The happy hour specials were pretty good with $ 2 beers(this is for the PBR, the fancier stuff is $ 3-$ 5), $ 3 wines, and well drinks, and $ 5 premium drinks. I went for premium doing Three Olives blueberry vodka with lemonade. We had a few cocktails and I decided I should probably get a little something to eat before more drinking. Their happy hour also includes a few bar bites and I ordered a basket of onion rings for $ 3. They arrived quickly, it was a very large portion, and they were fried perfectly. I never thought I would eat at Cowboys, but for what they did, they did it well. I am definitely keeping Cowboys happy hour in mind. It’s not too crowded, and the prices and service are great. After the concert we headed back and got in without a cover charge with our tickets. The late night atmosphere here is just a little too much for me for the reasons I mentioned above, so that’s why I give three stars and not four, but definitely check out the happy hour if you like country music.

Love going to Cowboys for line dancing and concerts. The staff is always great and the place is always clean. The pulled pork sandwich is amazing. They have a mechanical bull and pool tables along with 2 bars so you don’t have to wait to long for a drink. Parking isn’t an issue since the other businesses are closed at night.

Modern Country music, and great food(including the Burgers). After a certain time the dinner tables move out the way, the bar fully opens up, you need a 18+ ID to get in, and the Saloon gets packed. I would recommend this to anyone.

I’ve only been to Cowboys on a Wednesday night, ladies night. First time I’ve been here during the day for food and drinks and let me tell you… Great spot for a weekday, after-a-long-day-at-work drink. The drink specials are everything you can ask for at a very reasonable price. Let’s just say that $ 6 can get you far on a Tuesday night here. The food was exceptionally well. I had the gator bites, which were cooked to perfection, and the happy hour wings. Those were really good too! Lastly, we had the greatest service from Matt. He was so attentive with my and my coworkers requests. Not only was he attentive, but funny too. Thanks for the great service Matt!

Ok so I’ve been to this place on their ladies nights a few times now. FREEDRINKS for ladies: Ewwww stay far far far far away! DONOTDRINK the FREE drinks. It WILL make you sick! They really need to step up their selection from a $ 3 bottle of vodka to maybe a $ 7. ATMOSPHERE is awesome. They have country room and Hiphop room. they also have pool tables. The place is HUGE. Bartenders: I always deal with a girl in the back Hiphop room. She is always so nice. Drink Prices: they are good. Just stay away from FREE. Here is what I have a big problem with. Since its 18+ they don’t allow any alcohol on their bathroom. Everyone leaves their drink outside the bathroom 100% UNATTENDED. Coming from someone who’s been drugged before … I know better. I pointed this problem out to management and well… they said«what do you want us to do about it?». Ugh. Honestly on busy nights they need more than 1 bouncer over there at the bathroom! I watched underage girls coming and going from the bathroom with drinks! I stood there for an hour. Over 21 would put down their drink. Under 21 would come out and pick it up. So not only underage drinking but people could get DRUGGED. Honestly if this«manager» would address this issue it would be 4.5 stars. The atmosphere is great. It’s something for everyone but not too much!

Good food. We had to wait 40 minutes for calamari appetizer. Entrée came out 20 minutes later. Total of an hour to get food. We had to chase waitress to get refills. Other than that the waitress was good. Very understaffed. Our waitress was also the only bartender. Never again.

No complaints here at Cowboy’s! Good olé barbecue American cuisine. Ribs, Texas fries, gator bites for the adventurous and salmon for the weight watchers. The mash potatoes are always good! If your looking for fancy or upscale this is not the place. But if you want to kick your feet up with your pals, share some loud laughs and no frills eats/drinks, this is your place. Our bartender and server Matt was a joy. Took care of us and never let our drinks get empty. By nature the ambiance is southwestern, good country music and tons of boots, hats etc. Don’t forget to partake in their daily happy hours 4 – 7. And bring your best plaid shirt and comfy boots for line dancing on Saturdays!

What a great place to relax after work! Cowboy’s is a located just south of 595 on university. So you may want to avoid during 5⁄6 o’clock traffic. But it worth it for the happy hour! Dollar Drinks of the days, $ 2 bud draft, $ 3 well drinks, $ 4 drafts and $ 5 premium drinks surely makes it the most cost effective happy hour in this area every day from 5−8pm. Food is great, sticks to your ribs, country food. Ribs, loaded nachos, gator bites for the adventurous and grilled salmon for the figure watchers. MASHEDPOTATOES with everything! Our bartender Matt was super funny and entertaining and always kept our drinks full. We are thinking of making this our official after work spot! But don’t forget Saturdays and jump into the line dancing or the mechanical bull riding!

Cowboys saloon has ladies night on Wednesday and Friday night. Ladies that come before a certain time, I think before 11 p.m., get in for free and are given a cup when they walk in. They have to carry the same cup with them around all night, and if they keep the cup, all well drinks are free. You can get drinks like rum and coke, cranberry and vodka, and other simple drinks. Beers and shots aren’t free on ladies night. I don’t line dance and have never even witnessed line dancing before I came to Cowboys recently. I got onto the dance floor and literally got pushed by somebody while I was trying to follow along and learn one of the dances. The people on the dance floor are very into their line dances and get irritated if you don’t know what you are doing or get in their way. There was a mechanical bull that people could ride if they paid extra(I don’t know exactly how much it costs). There was another section of Cowboys for people that didn’t necessarily like county music. They played hip hop/pop and had their own small dance floor and bar. It was a fun night, but if you don’t know how or enjoy line dancing, I would not recommend it. I will probably not be going back just because there are not many places to sit or do anything else if you are not dancing.

The food is way overpriced for the quality. The service was horrible. We waited 40 minutes and still didn’t get our food. I finally said something to the waitress, and her response to me was«it’s not like I can go cook the food myself» really this is what you tell your customer? 40 min and still couldn’t bring the appetizer or even the Caesar salad, sad. Towards the end of us eating dinner they shut the lights out on us. They are more interested in their club scene, than the paying customers who where having dinner. Again another demonstration of poor customer service. Even when we got to the restaurant the presentation was horrible. Young kids smoking cigarettes outside the front door. We had to wait 20 minutes around the corner for a table because we did not want to subject our little children to cigarette smoke. The whole experience was horrible. I would not come back.

Cowboys saloon… The place where you can perfectly line dance with hundreds of people, play pool and enjoy good atmosphere and music BUT The worst service I’ve ever experienced. The water glasses taste like soap, the wait ordering the drinks is 20 – 25 min at the table, the wait between drinks 20 min, the wait for the food 25 min, the wait for the check 35 min. Ughhhh really? The food is average, we had mozzarella sticks, that came cold, calamari that came unsalted, and chicken nachos. A while back the appetizers came after the dinner so we ended up rapping up our gator bites, and if I recall right the ribs were dry.

We were feeling all country so the wife and I polished our cowboy boots and payed Cowboys a visit. Lucky us as we arrived happy hour was still very much alive so we had $ 1.00 alcoholic drinks which were soooo good. Wife did line dancing as I waited on the food .The ribs were tender but the flavor didn’t caress my tongue much. They were just mahhhh. Nothing Special. What did and I suggest is the Gator Bytes … So So good and I would pay $ 40 for them. We are going back this weekend. This is definitely a necessity for us to revisit. Absolutely great staff and we recommend 2 visits for everybody :-)

My friend recommended this place for a group dinner of 15 people, and I love their system and staff. Making online dinner reservations is easy, and they always answer their phone quickly when I call to make changes. Excellent customer service. The actual restaurant is a little disappointing, though. Their beer selection is very limited for a place that is named COWBOYSSALOON. The general music that was not playing on the dancefloor was just mainstream and not country… which made me sad. Basically just the décor was cowboy themed. They seem to have cool functions happening on the dancefloor, from line dance lessons to karaōke. Interesting vibe here… I tried their Black N Bleu Burger(because of the bleu cheese) and it was decent, except they mixed up my meat preparedness with someone else at the table. I was picking at other people’s food around the table, and everything seemed a little tasteless. I suppose they are overall mediocre at food, drinks, and entertainment, so everything is consistent? Not as horrible at some of the other Unilocal reviews make it seem. They are definitely trying!

The Cowboys Saloon reminds me of a Frat Party or a college party with daisy dukes and cowboy hats. I’m much too old for this scene, but they didn’t stop me for dropping by twice in the past 5 months. Great drink specials like open bar for $ 10 or ladies drink free after 10pm seems to be the norm. Especially on Fridays. Despite the 18+ crowd(yes only 18 yrs to step in), line dancing is super popular. It’s amazing how everyone can move in sync after guzzlin all that alcohol down. Nice place to go with a young group and hang out. And, of course, if you like country an line dancing. They did play some booty music around 1am for 30 minutes or so. They have a bull too but looked a bit lame. Was like 5 bucks per ride. Away from the main area, there is a DJ playing house and techo in the back with a bar and a couple of pool tables. A huge place and a little somethin for everyone. Everyone under 30 that is…
