A private school education is a large financial commitment, and one that should not be taken lightly. As parents, we want what’s best for our kids. I had two children attend this school from kindergarten through middle school. When the financial burden became too heavy, we transfered our children into public school. For the most part, I was satisfied with the school, and the decision to leave was a financial one. So, why the 3-star review? I will try to keep this short. My oldest is graduating this year, with a 13 year perfect attendance record. Broward County, however, refuses to recognize his private school years. But the school is «fully accredited», right? Yes. One would think that the school would step up, go to bat for their alumni of 9 years, and in so doing, protect their good name. Well, after reaching out to them for help, none of this took place. They were not there for my son, their former student. They did not return my calls in a timely manner. The head master hid behind his assistant, and until this day, I have not spoken to him. They refused an offer from the county to honor the student jointly. The fact that they could not care less is clear. I attribute this to two things. #1, they are no longer receiving checks from me, so they owe me nothing. Cash is king, and as much as they would like to portray themselves as compassionate and caring, it really is just about the money. #2, management is very different than it was years ago. There has been much turnover, and the warm environment left with the caring staff. So, the lesson here is buyer beware. «Accredited» needs to have meaning, not just be a word you print on your letterhead. Their accreditation was questioned, and they failed miserably in defending it. The intent of this review was not to «trash» the school, or I would have given it one star. There are advantages to this type of education. There are also other choices.
