My favorite lunch place since I started dieting and watching what I eat. Lexi the cashier was absolutely delightful every time I’ve been this week. Smiling friendly and energetic. I’d go back just to get greeted by her! Moroccan chicken is the best!

Can’t go wrong with gyro in a pita. But Fala Falafel wasn’t the best and it probably came down to the size for the price. For $ 9 I got a pita filled with gyro, hummus, tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, chick peas and whatever else seemed good with it. EXCEPT feta because feta cost extra. Thinking back I should have paid the $ 1.50(or maybe $ 2) for the feta, but I was just more upset it cost more when I’ve had pitas for the same price(that were bigger) that I could’ve poured a bucket of feta cheese on. And on that basis, I would have kept it at 3 stars but… The customer service was great and the gyro was very tasteful. I really enjoyed the descriptive sauce list they had because usually I have no idea what sauce I’m ordering — it just seems right. Also, they have three different types of hummus — normal, garlic and jalapeño.

Went here with my kids a couple weeks ago and introduced them to gyros. Outstanding service from the guy with the close shaved head. He let them sample the meat and then we ordered. Food was delicious, altough a bit pricy for a quick bite to eat. My son was eating and actually said«mom this place is good but the service is awesome — that guy is really cool». So there you have it. words of a ten year old. I have not had many falafels in my lifetime so cant offer a comparison but these were good. All in all pretty good, but not cheap.

To start a very friendly staff who are glad to walk you through a menu of interesting Mediterranean fair. I am reasonably sure that all the food is made from scratch, on premises. I only gave this restaurant 3 stars for one simple reason, it’s over priced. I rarely complain about price but when I pay this much for a meal I expect to be very full or served at my table.

The food is really good, I’ve just had an issue with using coupons every time I’m there. Call me cheap, but if there is a coupon advertised on their own website, I come in to use said coupon, and then they say they no longer honor said coupon, I think it’s very poor business to dishonor that coupon. They responded the same way another time I attempted to use the coupon, saying they could neither confirm or deny it’s existence until I showed them proof, even though I was talking about the one on their website. Again call me cheap, but I think it’s very poor practice to entice someone to come into the door with a particular deal on the company website then say you no longer honor that coupon. Take it off your website then! Again, great food, I was just really put off by how the owners managed the issue. It was in poor taste.

Cute little place in a nice college area. I saw this place on Unilocal because I really wanted a gyro and hummus. I decided finally to stop by on my way home from work. Ordered the gyro with Moroccan chicken and a side of roasted garlic hummus. With the gyro you can pick from wheat pita or white pita. I got the white pita and added the chick pea salad, tomato and cucumber salad, and some tzatziki. I would of given this place a 3 or 4 cause the service was great, super friendly. It’s just I asked for chicken and I got the regular gyro meat. The roasted garlic hummus was horrible. Literally was burned garlic with hummus. It had such a bitter after taste. The gyro meat was awful, salty, and super dry. I wanted to like this place but the food is just not good. I may go back to give them one more chance.

I’m really really bummed to be updating my review for Fala with less stars than it should have, but the increasing lack of customer service and overall people skills has finally gotten to me. Three years ago when I started coming and was still in undergrad, I was ecstatic with the food and service. Now? Ug. This summer, my boyfriend and I stopped by Fala on our way home from the beach a couple of times. Being the gentleman he is, he sometimes orders our food to go while I wait in the car. Twice he came back frustrated. The older woman working who didn’t seem to understand he wanted to try the sweet pita chips(a new item on the menu), and kept telling him the only sweet thing they had was sweet potato fries. He finally got fed up and said fine, ordered the fries. When the younger girl began making our order, she asked him if he wanted sweet or salty pita chips… you see our dilemma? When he said he wanted that instead of the sweet potato fries, she said«you can’t, you only ordered one»(referring to MY order of salty pita chips). I’m reeeeally annoyed that she didn’t simply change his order – he would’ve paid extra to get what he actually wanted, I have no doubt. She followed up saying, «You never seem to know what you want when you come in.» Excuse me??? Does he HAVE to know what he wants? Isn’t that why SHE is there? To explain the menu and help him order food? He’s trying to remember what I want and order his own food at the same time. We stopped by again yesterday and the same older woman was there with the same attitude. This time I was actually present. He was in the middle of telling her what he wanted for us and she asked«for here or to go» before we were even done ordering. He added that we wanted a meal deal and before he could tell her he has a student ID, she had apparently already placed our order. When he said he has an ID she told him«well you’ll have to use it next time, I already rang you up.» Might I add, there was no one waiting behind us so whatever her rush was, it was unnecessary. I will mention that the first complaint I made to the manager was appreciated by her and she offered a gift certificate to hopefully redeem our experience. We stayed away for a while, but yesterday’s experience clearly proved nothing is changing. The food is amazing, but the experience is part of what I’m paying for.

The food here is pretty decent. I get the falafal pita… BUT if you want to add feta cheese it’s a $ 1.89?! You can buy a whole tub of feta cheese for that when they only put a sprinkle of it on there. And if you don’t want your sauce on the pita which I don’t because I don’t eat it right away I take it out, you get one sauce and have to pay extra for another. Lastly I get the sweet potato fries which are good, but they have their ketchup in tiny plastic cups and give you one and yup guess what you have to pay for more!

I can’t say I’m a huge fan — but I am stoked to discover more options up my way. I was pretty pumped to check this place out — and was hoping to find a new favorite spot in my area but unfortunately it fell a little flat. I’ll check them out again in the future, but I’m not rushing back in. Hummus — this one really let me down. I think I’ve been spoiled by finding the best hummus in BPB at another restaurant. This one fell a little flat for me — plus the amount of pita they give you isn’t enough. Granted I got the regular hummus — next time I’ll try one of the special flavors. Gyro Pita — I went with a gyro pita for lunch — and it was really solid. The lamb was flavorful, the toppings super crispy. They have a toppings bar and add on whatever topping you want — such as hummus, fresh veggies and sauces. The place was clean — and the staff friendly. Parking is super simple — as they have a large lot out front. All round it was an alright lunch, but the price point was a little high, and I can’t say anything really stood out for me.

I used to go to Fala often when I first moved to Davie. It has been about a year since I have been there, but I stopped in today for a gyro. I always ordered the falafel, and it was always very good, but was craving a gyro so I thought I’d try it. Everything about the gyro pita was good(veggies, hummus, sauces) but the meat was DISGUSTING. It was salty, watery, slimy, and tasted gross. I ended up removing it from my pita and throwing it away. My friend got falafel, which is still delicious. I will return to Fala for vegetarian items, but I will never get meat from there again.

First off, awesome service! My friend couldn’t eat the green peppers that was mixed with the tomatoes and cucumbers, so they cut fresh tomato for her and made our platters just how we wanted them! Great portions of food. Fresh and light perfect for a summer lunch. You must try the cilantro sauce it is fantastic! You choose what you want on the pita, wrap, or salad and they make it right in front of you!

Everything was delicious and fresh. We were looking for a Mediterranean place and sad to see how overpriced this place is – compared to the portions.

For a quick healthy bite near campus I love Fala! I always get extra cabbage and extra olives on the chicken shwarma! Good stuff! tucked away near the 595 Expressway and the BC annd Nova Campus is this fast good food gem. The managers«red sauce» is great with the shwarma and even to dip the fries. its spicy, thick and a compliment to the salt of the olves and pickling of the cabbage. PERFECT! in all fairness I have been there at times when the chicken is a little dry… but all in all I get a craving and drive quite a way to have that special sandwich. Love the rewards program too! I have had a free sandwich already… and they didnt skimp! I would recommend this to friends!

This place is one of my go-to staples on my weekly lunch rotation. It is never too packed and I can eat a quick, healthy lunch in a flash. I usually order the chicken schwarma or gyro, sometimes on a platter if I am trying to watch carbs. I like the fact that you can customize your meal with the toppings bar. Recently they added jalapeño humus and sundried tomato humus as well. After I add all the toppings sometimes my pita is busting at the seams. My only complaint would be that I really don’t like iceberg lettuce, but at least they offer cabbage. The service here has always been great. The manager Claudia is always in a good mood and provides great service with a smile. I was kind of bummed that they had a recent price increase but it’s still pretty good food for a reasonable price. They accept the SPOT card here and I would definitely recommend you use it as every 10 spots earns a free pita!

Tried this restaurant at the request of a vegetarian friend who was craving falafel. I am surprised I never noticed this place since it is in a popular plaza in the busy Nova campus in Davie. I ordered the gyro sandwich in wheat pita bread. The portions are slim in relation to how much I paid for it. Basically the servers take your sandwich down an assembly line and you dictate what you’d like in your order(hummus, veggies, couscous, and your choice of sauce). I also ordered a fruit smoothie. My bill came to around $ 15, which I could have spent less as Moe’s next door and gotten larger portions for less. There was a modest amount of people there and there were only two employees working. It took more than 10 minutes for our orders to come out, I am not exactly sure why. The food itself was pretty tasty. The Tzatziki sauce was very good but it, add my pita too soggy. Next time, I am going to get the gyro platter so I don’t have to bother with holding soggy bread. I am not sure if I would return on my own, but it is a convenient option for Mediterranean and vegetarian food.

Not bad. I’m not a huge falafel connoisseur, but I hold Sunrise Pita as my standard, where you walk in and all you see is Israelis. Comparatively, Fala Falafel is not as generous with the serving of falafel or the topping, but everything was fresh and made to order. They told me they get their pita from a local bakery and it was good, not the best I’ve ever had, but noticeably better than store bought. I liked how all the toppings(cucumber/tomato, hummus, olives, lettuce, etc) were filled to the top and not old or sitting out for a while, albeit we came on kind of an off hour on a saturday afternoon. They had a selection of sauces and everything was tasty, but as I mentioned, my friend and I both agreed that even for the low 7 bucks it was, that portion could have been bigger. The place was clean, staff friendly, an easy in and out and probably your best bet for falafel in the close vicinity.

3 ½ really In the Longhorn plaza I Came to pick up a Gyro platter for my man and figure out what Ide want to eat for dinner. Friendly staff. I noticed there wasn’t meat being cooked everything is pre-made and in warmers I know the meat will be boiled. So I sampled the chicken(not for me –watery), and the falafel, the hummus is fresh made here and is yummy. The falafel is soo fresh and tasty. The chickpeas are soaked in water then ground with spices and parsley to make the falafel patties. I really recommend it as it doesn’t hurt your stomach and is a great meat alternative. I ordered the gyro platter for my husband and I got the falafel platter with whole wheat pita. There are lots of fillers in the salad bar to add to your plate… but weird like pickled things and corn. it all worked in some mish mash way. The sauces are great, and they have descriptions of what’s in the sauce so you don’t have to be annoying and ask! Nice. The Tzatziki it’s not thick at all, the They offer a 15% student discount. Really one of the best falafel’s you’ll try! Get it
