If I could give it a zero I would. My mother is an elderly lady. My father just passed away 3 months ago. They had been going to Glenns Automotive for years, but my father knew cars my mother does not. She brought it in for a tune-​up. After everything was done they claimed that a heater control valve broke while doing the tune-​up so they had to replace it. They charged her $ 178 for the part that lists for $ 20.00 on a part that they broke doing a tune-​up. Part of the estimate was supposed to be charging the A/​C. When she went to pick it up the price jumped up to $ 526.00 because they said the A/​C charge was not on the estimate??? Why wasn’t it if thats what she told them when she went in. If you make a mistake on an estimate that’s not the customers fault. Any «reputable» (as she claimed they were to me on the phone before she hung up on me) would let a customer know of any additional work that needs to be done on top of the original estimate before doing the work. Especially knowing that the customer was having a hard time paying the original amount. That’s NOT reputable. Thats a mechanic shop taking advantage of someone on a fixed income because they know she has no mechanical background and has no idea how sleezy mechanic shops operate. When I called she was not only very rude, but when I asked what the original estimate price was she claimed not to have the bill in front of her. Your in the office of a mechanic shop you can’t find the bill??? No, you didn’t want to get the bill because you knew you were wrong. After a few minutes of her raising her voice to me she tells me «I’m done talking to you good-​bye» and hangs up on me. This is not a shop I would take your car to EVER. They lost a customer that has been coming to them for years because they tried to take advantage of her because they knew my father was no longer around to watch over what they were doing. I will also be going to the BBB on this and every other social media outlet I know of.

I just picked up my car from there this morning, It’s the second time i have taking it in since the warranty ran out. First of all being a car guy, i already know what is wrong with the car before taking it in but i always expect most shops to try to upsell you or plain lie to you (it has happened to me in the past at different places). That is not the case here, they called me and told me exactly what was wrong with the car and told me what parts i needed to fix it just as i expect it. Everyone is super friendly, very knowledgeable and its always ready on time, also reasonably priced.
With that said every single car that i own in the future as soon as it runs out of warranty it will always be taken to them, couldn’t be any happier with their level of customer service and satisfaction.
