This place used to be great. It was like Anthony’s in Weston, but had expanded menu. It was at mid-line price point, but they served really good food and gave you hefty portions. My family or my office would go a couple of times a month with large groups and spend plenty of money. We also would enjoy takeout from time to time. I heard the owner sold the place and that the quality went downhill. I decided to see for myself. I am sad to say the rumors are right. We just ordered for take out two pizzas, house salad, and broccoli rabe with sausage. When my wife brought it home, I was so surprised I started laughing. the broccoli rabe was all chopped up, almost like a chopped salad, and the portion was may be ½ cup. I almost took a picture of it to post, I was so annoyed. Oh, and we ordered it with sausage. They gave us one piece in a separate tin with tomato sauce on it. What? Do the new owners even know how to serve that dish? I paid $ 13 for that. Never again. This place is terrible. And judging from the reviews and how empty it was for dinner tonight(a Saturday night in the summer time), this place will be out of business by the end of the year. It’s a shame. Here’s a message to the new owner. You bought a very successful restaurant. It was successful for a reason. If you want it to be successful again, go back to running it the way it used to be.

Omg! How cool… If you like Anthony’s without all that flavor, ambiance and service… This is the place for you. Consider this place like that fake Mickey Mouse costumes guy in Times Square … He’s trying to look like Mickey Mouse but it’s a bad copy. This place is definitely not a good copy but it is Mickey Mouse. Save yourself the trouble go to Anthony’s

The restaurant use to be really good. Great food and pricing as well as service but since the owner sold recently, The food quality has gone down. I just don’t understand why things had to change. The restaurant was always busy when my wife and I use to go. The last time we went the meatball sub was not so good and her pasta dish was terrible. The pasta was not cooked as it use to be and they gave her very little sauce. We called them to let them know and asked use to come back. Our order was for take out. My wife told them we were 20 min away. They did credit use for the pasta dish. We have gone a few times to dine in since it was sold. You can tell they have change some things already. Like the cheese on the pizza. I hope they go back to the original ways before they hurt the business even more.

This place used to be great. Sure, they copied everything from Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, but at least they did it really well. Not anymore. Just had lunch there and the salad dressing is no longer as good as it used to be and my pasta dish was awful. Apparently, the original owners sold the place and they must not have shared their recipes with the new owners. Bummer.

I have been here 8 – 12 times I’ve the past year and I really enjoy it every time. Staff is always friendly. It usually nice a busy which I enjoy. I like seeing the owner on most nights. You can tell he takes pride in his work and that’s what I like to see. Food is always above average and although there are probably cheaper options I do believe you receive a quality meal at a fair price. I have a good friend that comes from Manhattan a few times a year and he ALWAYS picks here for dinner. Major Pros are: Local business owned and run. Friendly staff that takes pride in what they do Quality food. Thanks for the experience. See you again soon.

Every time I come back to south Florida I come here to kill my chicken parmigiana sandwich craving. I travel the world but no chicken park sandwich has come close to the one I get here. You must get it on the focaccia bread and clear your schedule afterwards because my favorite thing to do once I finish is take a nap.

Service is great, salads are excellent but the chicken wings are out of this world. I love the pizza and the capuccino, did not had the chance to try dessert… Maybe next time

I went into this place with intentions on spending a couple hundred bucks on lunch for a Vet office… and a manager said that he couldn’t help me because he had to WAIT for the owner to sell me pizza for the office staff… I said that I need 8 pizzas n more stuff… because I’m in the buying mood… this is the difference between employee mindset and entrepreneur mind an employee can’t close the deal make the feakin sale… what a waste of time… the OWNER need to train STAFF… to make DECISIONS… STOP leaving money the table w BAD service. the guy that was outside bring in chairs know more than so call manager in side… SAD

This place used to be the best pizza– we(2 families) always catered special events like Christmas Eve and parties and splurged on this«top of the line» pizza. We recommended it to all our neighbors family and friends and then one day our pizza was completely different. The owner started cheaping out on ingredients(dough, cheese) and started topping pizzas with sparse amounts of cheese in messy globs of sauce. When we called to ask about it, His attitude was arrogant and sucky and he denied all changes, didn’t offer any customer service or thank you for feedback. His attitude really sucks especially when you ask about these specific obvious changes to the ingredients. I wish I had a picture from the old way they made pizza compared to the crap they’re sending out now. They caved for the buck and lost two large Italian family’s business. Back to Anthony’s coal fired pizza!

My son and I were about to embark on a tour of Target but I needed fuel. I had seen this place before but it was my son who said let’s go. We both figured it would be standard pizza and pasta of a typical Italian style place. Menu was typical but has some very nice updates and twists on the old stanards. We selected the Sausage, peppers and onions Rigatoni and the Capresa Rigatoni. Last minute I added an order of garlic rolls. Not only were they fast, but we were both blown away by the quality and the flavor. I would drive across town for those garlic rolls. The fresh yeast roll, covered in rosted garlic and olive oil and toasted! We both had leftovers and cannot wait to go again to try something new. You’ve just gained 2 news fans and I am so excited to share my secret with others.

I couldn’t tell how the food is because I never actually got it. I can tell you that the cold food I ate from the the other plates was ok and just that. It is Antony ’ s pizza but Taiwan mass production quality. Thanks to our server, Cindi, who saved the meal experience. She was very apologetic and had a fantastic attitude. Oh yes… during our meal the owner was sitting on the table next to us; maybe get your butt to the kitchen and make sure your food is coming out so you can charge for it instead of giving discounts.

We have been going to Liguiri’s since it opened. It has evolved from a straight knock-off off Anthony’s(coal fired pizza, wings, salad) to having a much more extensive menu. To me, the offerings at Anthony’s can get a bit redundant. I find the full menu at Liguiri’s much more enticing and there always seems to be something to please everyone. The dishes are always tasty and seem to made of high quality ingredients. We always start with some Parmesan Roasted Wings to share. They are always big, fat, and juicy, with plenty of roasted onions. We have tried many items on our last visit for lunch Husband and I had lunch specials. I had the Individual Pizza($ 6.95) and Husband had the Eggplant Carvelli Parmigiana Hoagie. Both were very good. The pizza here is always solid and the crust is never burnt. I added a salad for $ 2 which was well worth it. The salad, with garbanzos, celery, egg, and a light vinaigrette, is always crisp and very fresh. Boys went with the more expensive entrees. Both had raviolis, one cheese and one seafood. They were good but the portions were a bit small. For over $ 14 each, the dishes were kind of in the expensive side, especially for lunch. Service is always friendly and quick. Liguiri’s has the feel of a true neighborhood joint. My only criticism would be that the prices are a bit high, but I don’t really know if they are higher than Anthony’s or other«coal fired» pizza places around town. For just pizza, I think I would be happier at Blaze up the road. Liguiri’s does however, offer a bit more variety for the family.

My daughter and I were craving a healthy salad for lunch and tired of the same old thing. Then we remembered Fired Up! I keep forgetting why we don’t visit more often. The food and service is always great. We were seated right away and ordered two unsweet iced teas. The waitress returned to say that they were out of unsweet tea. The had sweet tea or raspberry tea. We ordered waters instead. Also ordered the house salad with gorgonzola cheese and a foccacia bread. The salad was crisp, cool, with romaine, tomatoes, onions, and chick pea. The Foccacia bread had a nice warm texture with fresh rosemary and olive oil. The perfect lunch!

I was craving pizza today, and for once I ventured out of my comfort zone and ordered something I normally wouldn’t order: a Hipster Pizza. I bet you’re thinking, «What on Earth is a Hipster Pizza,» or you may be thinking, «Ummm, there is no such thing!» Well, here’s what I mean by Hipster Pizza. I will describe it using the buzzword that seems to be the going Hipster word in cuisine that deviates from authentic or traditional, and that word is FUSION. Everything now seems to be in the process of being reinvented with all kinds of Fusion places popping up making over all kinds of cuisine. Most times Fusion is a bad idea. However, in my mind, it’s all Hipster to me. It will pass and be forgotten. I have been eating sausage and mushroom pizza since I was in diapers, and that is what I would consider perfect pizza. I went through a pepperoni phase in my teen years, and then through Hawaiian phase in my early adult years, but I always come back to my original and best, the Sausage and Mushroom. However, today I thought I would just break away from what I know works and what I love to just see if I have indeed changed and am ready to delve into Hipsterdom. The best way I could see to do this was to order something I love normally on a roll and not on a pizza, but ON the pizza, Philly Cheese Steak. I was reading the ingredients on the menu and I noticed it had mushrooms and onions. I started to ask them to omit the onions, but decided to let them keep them. I wanted to get that full fusion(hipster *cough*) experience and taste it as the chef meant it to be tasted. I was surprised at how gorgeous the pie looked when I opened the box. The other thing that surprised me was that the toppings didn’t rest on a bed of tomato sauce over the crust, they were on the crust, and the sauce was dabbed sporadically throughout the pie. I loved that the crust was thin, which I favor over a thick crust. Okay, it looked good, but how was the taste? I have to admit, my first bite was disappointing. I thought to myself, «oh yes, this was a mistake!» I went ahead and took another bit and I started to get more flavors and textures. To my amazement, there were onions in my second bite along with the mushrooms and it was really good. Why was I not cringing at onions on my pizza? They not only didn’t bother me, I was starting to think this might work! Then I took another bite and more textures and flavors. I got everything together in the next bite and it was magic. I was then thinking I could get used to this. This was a good pizza. Does that make me a Hipster? Oh Gawd! I hope not. The real test for me to know the answer to this question will be if I wake up tomorrow and am craving another one of these pies. The downside to this all is the price. I think this place is great. They have nice people, and I can see they make everything fresh using good ingredients. It’s just that I paid $ 18 for a 12″ pie and I will need some time do decide if that was really worth it. I suppose I will try one of the traditional pizzas here next time just to see how that goes. They are priced less than the Hipster pizzas, so that may be a better option for me.

This is our first time here, but I can tell you it’s not our last!!! Started off with the soup pastafagioli which was the best I EVER had anywhere. Now I’m a Sicilian from NJ so that’s the hugest compliment I can give. On to the main meal now. I don’t remember what they called it but it was chicken with shrimp, artichoke hearts, peppers, chunks of garlic, over linguini. I didn’t leave a drop behind so that tells you how good that was. For desert I had the ice cream covered in hard chocolate with a cherry buried inside covered with whipped cream and a chocolate sauce. Didn’t leave a drop of that behind either. Top this all off with an amazing cappuccino sweetened with a rock candy stick. I’ll be back here for sure. The owner is John who is a great guy. What a great hidden secret this place is. A must go to place!!!

I love coming to eat here. Friendly establishment and great food. From the pasta to the Pizza is outstanding. This is comparable to Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza but better. Arthur is always our server and he is just wonderful. Always talks to us and has excellent suggestions on what to eat and have it paired with. We give him 10 thumbs up! You will not be disappointed with this local establishment. Yum Yum!

We decided to have a take away pasta Friday. The girls at the register were very patient and helpful in making recommendations. I didn’t look at the final bill but I’m sure we were upcharged for all the custom things. $ 46 and we got: –chicken parm topped with cheese only, a side of penne Alfredo with extra sauce. I was expecting a large cutlet like you get at other Italian places. But this was quite small and very thin. Bf said it tasted average. –eggplant dinner with spaghetti bolognese and marinara sauce on the side. Loved it, tasted just like the eggplant Marino at Anthony’s coal fired. The spaghetti and sauce were very well seasoned. Liked having 3 little marinara containers to dunk into. –2 big meatballs. They weren’t the best I ever had but they were ok. They came with ricotta. After we ordered they told us pasta fagioli soup was also included which was a nice unexpected bonus. However when we got home there were none in the bag :-(For the price I think we will continue to go to Pipalito for pasta. We do want to try the pizza here and I would definitely order the eggplant again, perhaps in the appetizer size.

Ordered take out pizza from Fired Up. Didn’t take long at all, like 15 minutes. Its in the Target plaza off University and Sterling. The waitresses write really friendly on the phone and when I picked up the pizza. Impressive pizza thin crispy crust, good cheese. We also ordered the chicken parm. This chicken Parm version tastes like the healthiest version I’ve tried! I loved it. It came with pizza crust with herbs baked and sprinkled on top, similar to a foccacia bread but thinner. The chicken plump and juicy, the sauce good and cheese smothered on it. Overall a really good dish! My Aunt orders out and brings over the Grilled Chicken Wings and onions & peppers on the side to keep it crispy. She also orders two salads: it comes with romaine, hard boiled eggs, chickpeas, and a vinegrette that is light and delish. I was really happy with the large cheese pizza too. Its cooked in a wood fire oven. Great prices too. I’ll definitely be back.
