History

Established in 2010.

Dr. Doms graduated from UC Davis in 1996 with a major in Biochemsitry and a minor in Psychology. He then attended UCSF School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2001. Upon finishing dental school he moved to Davis and practiced general dentistry for 2 years before entering the Endodontic residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. When finished with his residency he returned to California and practiced endodontics in Roseville, CA for over 5 years before setting up his own endodontic office in Davis in April of 2010.

Dr Doms was outstanding! Great Dentist, compassionate, funny, just a great guy. My problem is with the billing. I was quoted $ 365 as my part and after the work was completed my portion was $ 814. Quite a difference! I was told my insurance only pays 80% of the in network rates and she wasn’t aware of this. Anyone working in billing would know this.

My fear was put to ease with the professional staff, I was told about everything that was going to take place with my root canal. When Dr. Doms was starting my RC I put in my earbuds closed my eyes and could have fallen to sleep. When I got in my car to go home the pain was minor and I was very pleased that my fear of dentists is going away.

In all my life I have never been relaxed when going to the dentist. That changed, when getting a root canal at Doms. Dr Doms explained the process numbed me up and told me to sit back and relax. I was able to watch TV as he completed the procedure, felt no pain whatsoever and honestly was disappointed when it was over as I was so relaxed watching tv. I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism and the way In which Dr Doms and has staff made this so comfortable. Getting a root canal was more comfortable than getting a regular tooth cleaning at my regular dentist.

Dr. Dom’s and his team are very friendly and professional! Being able to fill out the forms online at home was more convenient and comfortable for me. You can tell that this team makes the time and investment to stay updated. Dr. Dom’s even uses a microscope during the procedure! His injection was painless, too! Dr. Dom’s and his assistant, Michelle, worked seamlessly and my root canal was totally completed in one hour! Don’t hesitate to see Dr. Dom’s and his awesome team if you need a root canal~they are the best!

I was referred to Dr. Doms and was a little weary about a root canal — I’ve heard evil things about them. Dr. Doms was incredibly professional as well as patient. He explained the issue with my tooth in a way that I could easily understand, which made me feel less afraid and more confident to go through with the root canal. The whole procedure took no more than half an hour, I was never uncomfortable, and walked out feeling great. It’s day two and I’ve honestly forgotten I had a root canal. He’s great, he’s the one to go to, hands down.

This clinic is simply amazing! Dr. Dom is a highly specialized and true expert in his field.
After my husband had a botched root canal done with continuing pain, we finally decided to see a endodontist and made a visit to Dr. Dom to see what had happened. He immediately identified that there was a part of the root canal that was missed. He was able to identify it with his specialized equipment, that not all dentists have available.
My husband went in for another root canal and was completely free of pain almost immediately. The procedure was smooth and easy.
Dr. Dom is a true professional. If you are looking for specialized dental care or need a root canal, don’t waste your time with the regular dentist, just visit Dr. Dom and it get it done right. Thank you!

My first root canal, and I was anxious, based on the operation’s reputation. I was very wrong to have worried. The doctor is extremely genial, explaining everything with friendly calm. It all went by quickly and with virtually no discomfort. Really, one of the best medical experiences I’ve ever had.

I’ve gotten two root canals done so far by Doms Endodontics and I have to say they are AMAZING! If you need any work done, I very highly recommend you go here. The staff knows what they are doing, are friendly, and make you feel very comfortable. Not only was I able to watch TV and choose the show/​channel the whole time I was getting work done, but they made my root canal painless and even gave me a pillow for my neck! Five stars!

It’s January 9, 2014 and I’m still up north from the holidays and found myself in dire need of a root canal. I just completed, said root canal, and it was a lot easier than I was expecting. The doctor had great bedside manner… not overly chatty… he let me know what was going on but in a very calm and quiet way… his entire staff were so gracious. If you find yourself in the Davis area, I can’t recommend Doms Endodontics enough! Excellent from start to finish!

Dr. Doms was very gentle and it was a basically pain-​free experience. I was terrified of getting a root canal, but he and his staff talked me through the whole process. He makes going to the endodontist non-​threatening and a pleasant experience. Plus you even get to watch TV while the procedure happens!
