Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I’ve rented a car from here 3 times and I prefer Avis & Budget in Davis to Enterprise. The 1^st time, everything went fine although the customer service was not very friendly. The 2^nd time, the car rented to me smelled terribly and was poorly vacuumed. It smelled like smoke and food. The 3^rd time, somehow my reservation didn’t go through. The rental agent didn’t offer an apology or even pretend to sympathize, and they had no cars available. The 2^nd two times the lobby was packed and I had to wait a long time.

I always get welcomed in Enterprise Davis center. Getting a car or returning is so smooth and easy. I have been getting sweet upgrades most of the time. The coverage and insurance are less then other competitors I believe. The best part is the weekend packages that make me rent car almost every weekend, as I don’t have my own car. All the representatives behind are nice and welcoming.
Thanks for making my experience a pleasure. Looking ahead for more rentals and excellent upgrades in future. :)

I have never been to a rent-​a-​car company and got out in less than 10 minutes. This Enterprise is fantastic! We came in to get a car since we got into an accident in Tahoe, we gave our claim number, and got out of there in a flash! That’s exactly how I want to rent a car, not go through calls and numbers waiting. Highly recommend this place! But do come in prepared with your claim number!

How can I summarize this review? How about «the worst, rip off, unprofessional»? Yeah, that’s a good start. The car was filthy and not full of gas, they tried desperately to change the terms when we returned it, they made it seem like they were doing us a major favor by honoring a Hotwire quote (that’s the law), and they have a bad attitude. Other than that, it’s fine.

I specified that I wanted no additional coverage. They still added it on.
All told, I paid nearly twice the advertised price for my rental.
If you enjoy being defrauded, come to this branch.

Enterprise the corporate office had taken care of me. So thank you. I will use Enterprise again, just not the Davis branch. I hear the airport is great.

This place is terrible. My reservation was made through the insurance company on Friday! According to the person at the front desk if enterprise doesn’t contact us then it’s not a valid reservation. It is Monday and I have been waiting here for an hour! There is a guy who just made a scene who has been waiting for longer than I have who apparently made his reservation Friday as well. There has now been 5 people who have came and gone before us. This is just total crap. It is not our problem that you guys don’t have enough cars. Upgrade us if you have to don’t keep us waiting for over an hour!

A reservation does not mean they will have a car. What is worse is they have no idea when a car will be available. «We have to wait for one to get returned» They picked me up and brought me here but have no car. There were several other people waiting with me in the same situation.
Personally and for business I never rent from Enterprise for just this issue. It has been a problem for 10+ years. In this case insurance was paying so I decided to try. I should have rented my own from Hertz or Avis and then billed to the insurance.
After waiting over an hour and being told they would get a care from another town which would take another 45 minutes I called my insurance company. They got me a car at a local Hertz. I then waited 15 minutes for an Enterprise driver to take me to Hertz. While it was not prepaid Hertz had cars and it was a much better experience.

I rented a car last month for a weekend. Not only was I blown away by the excellent rates, I was so happy with the customer service! Luis Mejia and Jose Saldana were so helpful and friendly. They made me feel at home and answered all my questions. Give them all the raises and promotions! Wonderful guys!

I have rented cars here often and always had a great experience. thank you for being so professional and courteous. I have also used the Vacaville, Woodland offices they are just as great.

Never rent here Friday am. You may have a reservatipn but they have no cars and make you wait over an hour to get a car.

Be extremely wary of this Enterprise location! I was having a mechanical repair at a local dealership and the car rental was partially paid for thru the dealership. I trustingly gave a credit card deposit which was supposed to be released after the car was returned to Enterprise Davis and they charged my card 5 days or so after I returned the car to the dealership in perfect condition and with more than the gas that was in it at time of rental for a lot more than was due them… It’s now in dispute with my bank card company! They’ve never even provided me with an accounting of what the charges are for!!!

Why not call your local car rental agency when you are about to take off for a trip (like we are… to Chicago) and get rental tips and get any car rental questions answered BEFORE you actually rent the car (in Chicago)??? Because the local car rental agency may not care if you have questions when you are not using them or «they are not going to make any money» from you. Well… listen up People… That is exactly what I did today. Called my local Davis Enterprise Car Rental Agency. The gentleman who answered the phone could not have been more professional! I asked if I could speak with the Manager and he actually said he would check! Wow… that is cool. Seconds later, «Christina» came on the line and spent about 10 minutes with me answering all my questions related to car rental for my trip. Who does that??? Well…“Christina” does. Now that is what I call, «going beyond and above» for a potential customer (I am definitely going to be an Enterprise Car Rental customer after landing in Chicago!).
Christina knows her stuff too! Gave me some great advice and tips. As a 25 year plus Davis resident, I know where I will direct my friends/​family when they need a car rental in Davis.

From the time I called to check on a coupon till return Enterprise offered great customer support. When in called to check on my upgrade and what cars that it would entitle me too I was told a Chevy Traverse, Nissan Murano or similar. When we arrived I looked at the small lot of cars and didn’t see any mid sized SUVs. We were taken to the Nissan rogue and when asked about the Murano I was told they were the same size. They definitely are not. Normally it would have been fine but we were going to have two adults and a car seat in the back on a 5 hrs drive. That didn’t seem too comfortable. My husband was going to see if we could just get a minivan and the the salesperson said she’d give us the minivan as a free upgrade. SCORE! It was perfect and I’m glad it worked out. Great customer service, we will definitely use this Enterprise location again. Thanks!

This is the friendliest, most efficient enterprise I’ve ever been to. I will be renting from them in the future for sure!

Meghan and Christina saved our Labor Day holiday by getting a car for us when our car broke down and several other car rental companies had nothing available or were closed early for the holiday. These gals were amazing. We are ever grateful to them for going out of their way during a crazy busy time and after hours. Hurray for Enterprise, a company that cares about customers. Ever grateful. Finally a rental car company with service! Thanks to Cristina Gonzales who made my experience fabulous without hassle or waiting.

I called in advance to make a reservation. I made it very clear that I needed to be picked up at 0900 SHARP, as I had a midterm in Rocklin at 1015. 0900 came and went. 1000 came and went. I called and apparently I was supposed to call and remind them, which was never told to me when I made the reservation. Then, I was told that they had no cars and that I would have to wait until someone dropped off before someone could come and get me. Two more hours went by without a word before I finally told them that I had had enough. The kicker, when I WALKED by the place, there were plenty of cars in the lot, so either everyone decided to return their cars all at the same time, or they were full of it. Stay away.

Not only did my car get stolen but my rental from Enterprise was vandalised too. All this was during UC Davis graduation week, no doubt, when the branch already were sold out. Christina, Meghan and the people at Enterprise, Davis branch were so helpful and understanding through my tough time. The customer service was so great even through their very busy time… and thank you for it!
