Best sushi we’ve had in Davis since we moved here 3 years ago. Freshest fish and veggies and huge portions.

Freshness is the main point of a sushi restaurant. All the sushi are awesome and fresh. Roll are in good quality, unlike some AYCE, rolls are not only some sauce with rice and fish. But their rolls are very signature. I never had one hand roll stuff with tons of fish. I even feel like fish are more than rice. ONLYSUSHIPLACE I GOINDAVIS, CA

Best Japanese restaurant in Davis hands down. Forget the AYCE because I prefer quality over quantity. Plus, their portions are just perfect in my opinion. We got the oysters, the Thunder rolls, a plate of sashimi, and green tea mochi! All of this was enough for my bf and I. The oysters were so fresh, the thunder roll was pretty large with amazing sauce on top, and the sashimi was thick and melted in my mouth. What more can you ask for? The roll is nothing like AYCE in Davis. The ingredients inside are abundant(they don’t just make the roll with mostly rice). The customer service here is great! They are all really attentive, and we got seated fast. Also, the décor in the restaurant is very nice! Cute place for a date or with your family. It is a little bit more pricey, but you definitely will not leave disappointed. Come here for legit Japanese food!

My friend read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. However, it disappointed us. I ordered a seafood yaki udon, a salmon hand roll, and one Heaven in a Spoon. The salmon hand roll was ok, but I didn’t like the seafood yaki udon($ 13.95) and the Heaven in a Spoon($ 11.95). I didn’t expect the yaki udon to be sweet. Only the seafood on top was ok. The Heaven in a Spoon is really bad. The Uni was unfresh and the oyster didn’t taste good either. WASTEOFMONEY! The food is quite pricey but the quality of food isn’t worth it. I felt disappointed. Although the staff is nice but I won’t come to this restaurant again.

PROTIP: Grab the Little Green Machine Coupon book. You can find a $ 20 off coupon if you spend at least $ 55!(It’s pretty easy to spend $ 55 here if you come with friends because this place is pretty pricey.) I came in with a group of friends on a Sunday night and the place has several tables open. Right when you walk in, you can tell this restaurant is classier than your average sushi place, just by it’s ambiance. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly. She took our drink order right away and was very patient with us when ordering. She also checked on us several times and refilled our waters constantly. Superb service! As for food, I decided to try their tempura udon while my friends got sushi rolls, a katsu-don, and a dinner special. My tempura udon’s presentation definitely lacked a «wow» factor. It was literally a bowl of noodle with broth and two floating tofus, with tempura on the side. My excitement for the dish vanished when I saw it. However, the tempura itself was very crispy and the noodles tasted fresh. Overall, I liked my meal. But I probably won’t recommend it, nor would I get it again. It really wasn’t anything special. My friends sunshine roll looked amazing though! There were also several other rolls on the menu that caught my eye, so I definitely want to come back here and try their rolls.

I’ve gone to Huku several times, and enjoyed each moment. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant itself is sleek and classy. Not to mention, the bathroom is super clean and smells deliciously of cinnamon… The food is quite pricy, but it’s what you would expect in an American sit-down sushi restaurant. I wasn’t a huge fan of their yaki udon, but their donburi and rolls are on point! I’m so used to going to sushi buffets and not getting a strikingly delicious roll, but here, every roll is presented beautifully, and is mouthwatering with every bite. The rolls can take some time to arrive, but that also allows your body time to digest and not overeat. At buffets, people get full because they just stuff themselves. They often forget that it takes a while for the brain to recognize food in the stomach. For anyone who wants Japanese food in a classier-than-average restaurant, Huku is the place to go! They usually have a coupon for $ 20 off of $ 55 in the quarterly Davis coupon book.

Presentation and taste were fantastic. Staff was friendly. They also gave us more fish on the house. Ordered: Lobster roll: Sushi to me is just kinda meh it all taste the same but this place the flavor was amazing. heaven in a spoon: I took out the oyster because I’m allergic but all the flavors and textures worked nicely. Tonkatsu: the portion was huge!!! And even the little side dishes tasted good and I hate vegetables. Definitely worth the price, I would have been happy to pay the full price for the meal for what I got(we used a 20 $ off $ 50 coupon)

Huku is just one of the finest gems that Davis has to offer! This place really deserves more than 5 stars in my book. I’ve seen pictures of their food, and the presentation of all their dishes is absolutely amazing. Now I was hoping that everything would taste as great as it looked… — HEAVENIN A SPOON: very appropriately named! The flavors work so well together, and they are SO generous with their uni portions. The oyster was really fresh too. I’d highly recommend getting this! — CHIRASHI: I was debating between getting an order of sashimi, the sashimi & sushi combo or this, and I’m SOGLAD I chose this. The fish was extremely fresh and their slices were huge! Talk about generous portions :’) — LOBSTERROLL: If you love the traditional lion king roll, try this out! The flavor is so rich with a hint of spicy which really added to it. It’s very filling as well. By this point, I was already pretty full and super impressed with this restaurant. And then the waitress brought over an order of HAMACHIKAMA, complements of the sushi chef. It was grilled to perfection and it had great flavor to it. I’m usually just okay or disappointed with regular sushi restaurants, but Huku blew me away! The service was amazing, their décor is beautiful, and their food does not disappoint! We used the $ 20 off of $ 55 coupon(courtesy of the Little Green Machine website), so it was pretty affordable too. I would definitely come back to this place again!

I’m officially terrified of this place. Came here for lunch today and ordered the avocado ball, sake don, and negihama. The food was mediocre but the worst part was that my plate had a tiny fly squashed at the corner… Last time I came here, the raw fish smells like sewage and now this. I couldn’t even dare to finish the last 4 rolls(out of 6) of my negihama rolls because I was terrified of getting a food poisoning. This place really needs to consider its cleanliness because I suspect the kitchen could be violating some public health code. I’m giving it a 2 instead of a 1 because the service was extremely nice. One of the waitresses came up and offered extra chips for our avocado ball. I really loved this place before but with raw fish, I think it is more than necessary to keep a sanitary kitchen. Seeing that they are doing well enough to update their menus, I really hope that they make improvements on their cleanliness.

What a little gem of a sushi joint in Davis! Stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to have some sushi in Davis and boy, I’m glad we found it! Tucked away in South Davis off Mace and Cowell, you can’t miss this puppy if you’re frequenting the South Davis Nugget. The inside is pretty, clean and well lit — a major upgrade from some of the other places in Davis. We were seated right way, and our server was great… in no way did we feel rushed, and she was courteous and friendly the whole time. There are lots of things to choose from including fresh, raw entrees(we had the Pepperfin), Udon, Don Buri, Ramen and of course plenty of sushi-related items to choose from. Pepperfin: fresh slices of albacore topped with jalepenos and ponzu sauce. Very simple but very delicious. Served on a bed of harusame and garnished with fresh greens, this dish is also beautiful(see in the photo below). From the sushi menu, we ordered the following rolls: –Temptation: Spicy tuna is amaze, but this roll didn’t tickle my fancy all that much. Nothing super special… the daikon added a nice touch. –Dragon: What I loved about this roll was it’s presentation. Instead of being served in its usually vertical form with shrimp tails sticking out of both sides, it was served flat with lump eel pieces laid delicately on top. Only problem was eating this roll was a little difficult. –My Favorite: The description is pretty generic, but the preparation made it MY favorite. The soy wrapper was a nice touch and kept everything together well. Overall, super happy to have found this place, and I would love to check it out again in the near future!

I’ve been going to Huku since they’ve opened. In a good month I go there at least once a week for lunch or dinner, in a bad month at least twice! So needless to say for a college student on a budget this is my go-to place. So this is my like 14th time coming to Huku but heres a review of everything I’ve observed so far. Service: 3⁄5 their waiters and waitresses need to be more attentive to the diners. Many times i’ve been there i’ve had to flag them down just to get what I want. In addition, the majority of the time I have dined there, I stay for about 45min-1hr and they only come and check in once. Sometimes when other customers come in and dine they are left standing and waiting in the front, for the hostess to sit them. Quality: 4⁄5 I must say, for a sushi restaurant in Davis they have the freshest fish available. I normally always sit at the sushi bar and this might be disturbing for some, but I always see the fish head on the cutting board and that is because the chef just literally filleted the fish for service. It doesn’t matter if it is at the beginning, middle or end of service their quality blows out all the other sushi restaurants in Davis. Sunday Lunch: Gyoza: 3⁄5 my boyfriend loves gyoza and he always gets it at every Japanese restaurant. I tasted it from Huku and the first word that pops into my head is «meh.» It’s a bit oily and needs a be a little crispier. Other than that it was average, nothing really special. Chirashi: 4.5 now every time I come to Huku I always order the Chirashi and it is always different each time. The sushi chef is super interactive and we vibe off of each other. The plating for the Chirashi is always different and unique. Since I’ve been dining at Huku for so long the sushi chef remembers me and always hooks me up with a few more sashimi pieces and some that I ask for! During this particular visit tho, it was the chefs first time making a Chirashi and I think he blew it out of the park! It was so beautiful, although there was a bone in one of the sashimi pieces! Bonus* the chef gave me fresh wasabi(from the root) instead of the normal powered wasabi. Lion King roll: 3.5÷5 the flavor was super delicious, the only thing is that it totally came apart when we went to pick up a piece to eat it didn’t hold. Also the majority of the sushi roll was stuck to the foil. Sunshine roll: 4⁄5 My boyfriends absolute favorite. It is super refreshing and light, not too heavy on the stomach. The only thing is that for me it tasted a bit too sour from the lemon on top. I think they should mandoline it instead of slicing it, so it can be thiner. I come here so often and informed the chef that since they opened i’ve at least come 3 times a month and in a good month once a week. Because of my loyalty the sushi gave me a personalized sashimi plate on the house! Couldn’t have ask for better chefs to interact with while I eat!

I have been still on a search for a great sushi place closer to my house. I’ve tried every Japanese place here in Vacaville and none of them has impressed me. Sacramento has a variety of Japanese restaurants to choose from but it’s not my cup of tea to commute all the time. Searching for Japanese restaurants in Davis, I’ve narrowed it down to Huku Japanese food. After looking all the pictures in Unilocal and reading the reviews, I knew where to to go lunch this rainy Sunday. Driving from Vacaville to Davis is just a little over 20 miles or so. The wife and I drove to Huku and was there in no time. Got there 15 minutes early so we had time to grab a few things at the Nugget supermarket next door. After the nugget, I threw the groceries into our truck and walked into Huku. I was very impressed with the set up. The place had a modern touch to its simple décor. The sushi bar looked really cool but I didn’t feel like sitting at the bar. We found a perfect spot near the corner window with a good view of our truck. Triana, our server, came up to us immediately and asked us what we would like to drink. I said can you bring her water and bring me a glass of ice with a straw. I know this was tacky, I brought my own Gatorade to the restaurant and yes I brought an ettore mouse cake slice also. I had my heart set on those two things and I’m sure they would let us know if they had a problem with me bringing my own drink and dessert. Plus I’m there to eat a lot and spend money. Japanese food isn’t really cheap. Triana came back quickly with my glass with ice and her glass of water. We put in our order of a chirashi don, a 9 piece nigiri combo and a house salad. After joking around with my wife telling her about how I almost fell bc the floors are slippery on the way to the bathroom, Triana came back with all our food. Man was I impressed. My chirashi Don bowl looked totally beautiful and the sashimi cuts were generously thick. I counted about 18 pieces of sashimi in it resting in a very cool wooden bowl it came in. My wife’s nigiri was looking like a work of art as well also served in the cool wooden bowl. As I was admiring the food Triana asked if we need anything else. «Oh, we’d also like some deep fried oyster.» She smiled and said coming right up. As I worked on my chirashi and she worked on her nigiri we weren’t really talking so much bc we were just enjoying the feast in front of us. Triana came back and set down the plate of golden oysters that came with lemon slices. She also left a tartar and a katsu sauce to go with it. You know how much I love sauces. I grabbed one of the crispy oysters and dipped it into the tartar sauce then the katsu sauce as it made its way to my mouth. Wow was it a perfectly crispy and succulent little oyster. Sooo delicious. It looked like she was finished with her nigiri and now she’s eyeballing my sashimi so I offered her some. She smiled and didn’t say anything as I used my chopstick to put a few pieces in her wooden bowl. This meal was just so wonderful, it left me with a smile on my face. I washed everything down with the Gatorade and we split the ettore mousse cake. What a finish to a great meal, a rich mousse cake and a quenching drink like Gatorade. I think I found my go to Japanese place and the great part is it’s a lot closer to me. 5 stars for this establishment and for Triana’s great service!

If you are ever craving high quality sushi rolls(not that AYCE stuff) in Davis, you should definitely come here! I went here with a friend a couple weeks back and I was pleasantly surprised about my experience here. After reading all the Unilocal reviews about bringing a coupon from the GreenMachineDavis website($ 20 off $ 55), I printed one out and brought my friend for dinner. It’s located right next to the South Davis Nugget. It’s not a super busy area, so we didn’t have to wait at all for our table. First off, nice décor! It’s super fancy looking and everything looks new and clean. Service was okay too. We ended up getting 3 rolls(Lobster, My Favorite, and Christmas Eve) and 1 assorted sashimi(8 pieces). The lobster roll was pretty unique. It had a really bland/simple roll on the bottom, but the part that makes it good is the lobster meat in the middle and the bonito flakes sprinkled on top. My Favorite roll was a relatively simple roll. It was good, but nothing too special about it. The Christmas Eve was my favorite. It had a tangy taste to it and was really flavorful. I highly suggest this one! The only thing that was a little underwhelming was the sashimi plate. It was still good and fresh, but it wasn’t quite worth the price for 8 pieces and the fish selection were that great and the sashimi could have been fattier. Portion wise, though, it was worth(with the coupon). We ordered 3 rolls and a plate of sashimi and we were super full. Overall, this place is a bit pricey without the coupon(at least for dinner), but it’s justifiable since it’s the only high quality sushi place in Davis(besides Mikuni, but they give too little portion wise). I would definitely come here again, but probably with the coupon again.

So my friend told me to bring my camera because she told me the food was not only great but also beautiful. She was SO right! I’m a firm believer that food tastes better when it’s presented well, this place does a great job of doing both — that is, making the food taste amazing and look great! I don’t think I’ve ever had good sushi in Davis. I mean the sushi has been decent but it’s never made me wanna take another bite and go YAAAHS. This was worth it. Super worth it. To make it even more worth, you can go to littlegreenmachine’s Davis website and print out coupons for $ 20 off $ 55.(Also a tip from my friend, she’s great) In total with the coupon our bill for three people was $ 51 but without it the total was $ 70. So it averages to around $ 23 a person, which I think is slightly pricy but worth paying for good fresh fish! Now lemme talk about the good stuff~ Food: Heaven in a Spoon So this has to be the ONLYTHINGYOUGET if you can’t decide on getting anything. It is a starter but I thought that it was the best part of the meal! It’s a spoonful of uni, ikura, quail egg, tobiko, oyster, and has pretty little gold flecks on the top of the uni. My friend told me it tastes like the ocean — it totally did. I wanted to eat six more of these oh my gosh. The flavors go together so well and the oyster tastes so fresh! You won’t regret this if you enjoy raw, fresh fish! Lobster Roll I saw this on Unilocal — so I went for it! It’s basically a baked lion king but with lobster as well. It comes out quite pretty with a little lobster tail and the roll itself is VERY filling! Usually if I go with two people I’ll get one and a half rolls — but I could barely finish this one! I think the only thing I didn’t like about it was that there was a little too much of the creamy sauce on top — I couldn’t taste the lobster or crab as much as I wanted to. But the flavor together was very good! Caterpillar Roll Thought this roll was super pretty! The avocado wasn’t brown(like most Davis sushi restaurants) and the eel was great too. I think this was a pretty unique take on a caterpillar roll, there were fried onions on the top and they made the roll taste so different from a normal caterpillar roll! It definitely wasn’t my favorite though, I still liked the lobster roll more! Salmon Nigiri Fresh, thick pieces of salmon. The rice was well cooked too — I can see myself getting this for lunch again — it is a good complement to any meal! Service: They were quick and refilled waters really efficiently! I thought the waitress we had was really patient, I believe her name was Jan, she wasn’t super talkative or anything but she got the job done and I thought it was okay~ Ambiance: It’s hard to find a place with legroom in Davis too — I get that they went to a corner of Davis where there’s more houses rather than apartments — it definitely doesn’t feel like a restaurant in a college town, the place is decorated very well and simply — a few accent flowers and the place is well lit. We sat in a booth in the corner and we had plenty of room for three people! The table was a little sticky when we sat down though — not super happy about that! So overall, this place is great! It’s not amazing — but I’m definitely coming back! I think they have some nice components in their menu and the menu is also pretty expansive. I’m so down to try more rolls and I will try the sashimi!

TIP: LOOKFORYOURGREENMACHINECOUPONBOOKINYOURMAILBOX!!! There’s a page for five $ 20 off $ 55 coupons for this place! Great deal :) I hate to be the bearer of bad news and break the 4/5-star review streaks, but my experience at Huku was underwhelming. – FOOD – — Zig Zag Hand Roll($ 7.75) — Deep fried shell crab and rice wrapped in a soy wrap. Decent hand roll, quite sauced up. It didn’t look like the contents filled the wrap very well. I wish there was more rice to compensate for the saucey-ness of the deep fried crab. And this would’ve helped make the hand roll look fuller. For the price, I wouldn’t get it again. Hands down, Mikuni’s has better hand rolls for a cheaper price. My Zig Zag Hand Roll was the last item to get served to my table, which was a bit odd because I thought hand rolls usually get served in the beginning-mid of the meal. Make sure to request if you want it first. — Lobster roll($ 15.95) — Baked lobster, imitation crab, avocado, all topped with bonito flakes. I couldn’t taste the lobster in this roll, that’s how heavily the sauce was baked into it. The sauce and bonito flakes overpowered the true value of this roll, the lobster. The pieces would completely melt apart as you pick it up and it tasted like mush in your mouth. I wouldn’t get it again, not worth $ 16 of sauce mush. — Sunshine roll($ 11.95) — Tempura, «real crab meat,» topped with salmon and lemon. The menu says«real crab meat,» I’m not sure what they wanted to convey, but it’s definitely imitation crab. The roll looked amazing. Pretty difficult to mess up a salmon/lemon/tempura/imitation crab roll, until you use old tempura to make the roll. The tempura was super chewy, leather-like. Maybe the batter/oil for the tempura was bad? Perhaps the tempura was in the refrigerator and re-used? It reminded me of those to-go sushi rolls at the Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Costco, etc. Where the tempura is chewy and the fried aspect had no crunch. This was the roll I looked forward to the most, but I was so disappointed that I didn’t want to finish it. Needless to say, everything about the roll was fine except the tempura, which ruined the overall Sunshine roll experience. — Seafood Udon($ 13.95) — Clam, shrimp, scallop, squid, scallions in a simple shoyu broth. Udon noodles were yummy and broth was alright. Clam meat were super tiny, smaller than the size of my pinky nail. All of the seafood was small in size, which was expected, but the clam meat was unexpectedly micro-sized. Like from a YouTube episode of tiny food haha. — Sake Nigiri($ 4.95÷2 pc) — Ah, the best part of our meal. Quality was good and was rather fresh. Not the highest grade of sushi quality, but… dare I say, the best in Davis that I’ve had. Likely, their nigiri and sashimi will be the only items I can trust getting again. – SERVICE/INTERIOR – Service is pretty slow, we waited 25 – 30 minutes for one item to get served to us. Then another 10 – 15 minutes for another 2 items. There wasn’t that many people seated in the restaurant. There were 2 – 3 chefs behind the bar. Our server was okay, bare minimum of attentiveness, seemed eager to close the place(considering they close in an hour after our arrival). Interior is clean, simple and modern. I like the cute trinkets and statues spread throughout the shelves of the restaurant :) From this experience, I would come again for their Sake nigiri/sashimi, probably some of the best quality in Davis next to Mikuni’s. I did see there were mixed reviews on their sashimi, so maybe it’s hit and miss? I would exclusively order the nigiri/sashimi and use the coupon. If the quality was the same as today, It would be WAAAY worth it to use the coupon on it! ;)

Huku has been open since April but I didn’t starting seeing or hearing about this place until a few months ago. Anyway, glad I finally came because this place is great. It’s on the edge of Davis in the El Macero area. So you kinda need to bust a mission to get here but it’s well worth it. It has a really nice modern feel to it. I did not feel like I was in Davis at all, which is a good thing. Most of the patrons were older, I didn’t see that many college students which makes sense considering that the prices are up there which is standard for sushi places. This isn’t college friendly, which is understandable. But get the $ 20 off $ 50 coupon on Green Machine and go with a group, and I’ll think you’ll get your money’s worth. Food wise: Avocado ball was good. Tuna tasted fresh but the chips were a little hard. We were halfway through the ball and ran out of chips and the waitress brought out more before we asked. Nice! 8⁄10 Golden Well Scallops. This came out last, I guess it takes longest to cook. 3 pieces for $ 12? Tasty but no thanks. 6⁄10 LOBSTERROLL! 10⁄10 I have no words. You just need to try it. My Favorite roll. Yummy but the star was the lobster. 8⁄10 Miso soup was a bit watery but piping hot which was nice for the cold weather. Everything was super yummy and tasted fresh. Nothing was overpowered with sauce which happens all the time at other places. I definitely plan on trying their sashimi and lion king next. Overall, food was solid. Presentation was beautiful. You can tell they put in effort towards their plating and I appreciate it. Service was nice. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. As others have mentioned, it would be nice if they had a student discount but they do have lunch specials and that coupon. Great alternative to the sushi buffets and Mikunis.

Yum! Finally a good non-all you can eat sushi place in Davis. I’ll start off by saying that this place was worth it because of the 20 $ off 50 discount. The rolls averages $ 13-$ 15 and it was fairly tiny and not filling. Fair enough sushi is usually expensive and 1 and a half rolls or 2 rolls is more filling but that’s like $ 30 a meal just for rolls per person. It isn’t unusually priced for sushi or too expensive but it isn’t cheap either. Anyway, the food is great! I absolutely love their plating here. It is beautiful. The taste is good but like I said, some rolls were very small. I would come back very occasionally without the coupon. The atmosphere and decorations are also nice. I feel like they need some type of deal for lunch(if they don’t have one already) and maybe a little cut on the prices of they want to bring more customers in since this is a college town and the location is out of the way. Come if you want good sushi but be ready to spend a lot if you want to be full.

I like this place. I love their nigiris, when it comes to Davis, it’s petty much the best quality you could get. They have uni, which I appreciate. The place is clean, the servers always have a smile on, and there’s plenty of seating. Why I deducted two stars: while the nigiri and Sashimi are good as far as Davis goes, the rolls didn’t do much for me. I’ve tried a few, and I could not taste the fish in any of them as they’re overpowered by various sauces, or by other ingredients. The miso soup isn’t as flavorful as it should be, and I’ve been here a few times, and only once was it the temperature it should be served at.

Place is a decent sushi joint — it’s a casual dining experience with everything you’d want for Japanese and sushi I Ordered the chirashi and the the short ribs. Chirashi 3.5÷5 –it was huge! Definitely worth the bang for your $, however the quality is lackluster. I liked the fried shrimp head and unagi but some fishes were oxidized and its apparent on the skin. Not a fan. Fish wasn’t as fresh as I’d like, but I wouldn’t say this was horrible. Uni 3.5÷5 –server said they came in fresh during the day — came in 3 pieces for about $ 14. It was meh, I’ve had worse, and I’ve had better. Short ribs 4⁄5 –omg these were surprisingly good, and believe me since I’m Korean, I’m very critical about short ribs. I liked the nice salty and sweet flavor, and was cooked just right — meat was tender and not overly chewy. It comes in many pieces, so this is definitely worth it for protein hungry guests! Not your cheapest sushi place, but decent nonetheless specially for folks who live by the old nugget neighborhood!

DELICIOUS. AUTHENTIC. WORTHEVERYBITE.(More worth it when you bring the $ 20 off $ 50+ coupon) Food: Katsu don: very flavorful. the katsu(pork cutlet) was very tender and soft. the rice wasn’t hard and every bite was just so good. The sauce with the rice compliments the Katsu don as well. I cried when I was able to see the bottom of the bowl… Jk but it was that good! Chirashi: we’ve ordered other Chirashi at other restaurants and we haven’t seen this wide selection they’ve included. It’s pretty cool how much detail goes into making it as all the fish were nicely placed in order. their presentation is on point. A+++ for including unagi! I haven’t seen unagi placed in a Chirashi before! Salmon nigiri: my friend ordered this and said she loved it. the salmon just melts in her mouth. I also don’t see the rice being overstuffed like other sushi places. seems like the right amount of a nigiri. Favorite rolls: blooming, sunshine, & dragon. The dragon roll is different here! Not too sure how to explain it but there’s a twist to this roll that makes me crave THEIR dragon roll unlike the other sushi restaurants. Unagi don: the unagi is fresh! i would get it more often but it’s $ 20… honestly I’ve seen other restaurant with just as delicious unagi don for around $ 13. Ambiance: the interior looks really nice and fancy. everything looks clean and new. there are tons of seating-booths, chairs. the only recommendation I would make is to have better menus– maybe including pictures. Service: the waitresses are nice and friendly. the only thing is the food takes a long time though :(I think they like to bring all the food out at once. Our rolls plus Katsu don took at least 25 minutes to come out :( Price: a biiiiiiit pricy :(i wish they can do some student discount or something to make me want to come back more. but they do have the $ 20 off $ 20+ spent coupon inside the green 3×5 books gets mailed out. looks like I’ll be digging through coupons to find that! Shoutout to our waitress, Mi, for always being super nice!!! :)
