I used to like Dr Phillips. I thought he was really friendly. However, I cannot recommend his dental office to anyone. Because of his incompetent and rude office staff. I recently got a bill from this dental office which surprised me since my last appointment had been over a year ago. There was no explanation on the bill so I called. I was told my last claim did not get paid by my dental insurance. I asked them why they waited over a year to tell me about that since I would have looked into it immediately. They said they kept trying to get the insurance to pay it. I asked them what explanation the insurance gave for not paying it and I was told they would look into it and send me copies of the letters. Then they never got back to me and I never received any such information. So I called the dental insurance and they told me that they never received the claim and had never been contacted by Dr Phillips office. Well, since Dr Phillips office waited for well over a year the insurance was not obligated to pay any more and I had to pay in full for something my insurance would have covered. I really don’t understand why they waited so long. It seems to me that they made a mistake. But instead of admitting that and taking responsibility for it, they just let me pay it. How convenient. I should also mention that the office staff was very rude to me on the phone. When I asked her why they didn’t contact me sooner and if she didn’t think it was unfair to wait so long to contact me or the insurance she just kept repeating«it’s the patients responsibility, it’s the patient’s responsibility…». Ok, so it was my responsibility to assume that you are incompetent? Yes, mistakes happen but they should take responsibility for mistakes they make. Overall, I cannot trust a dental office that works like that. To cut a long story short, unless you want to pay out of pocket you might be better off with a different dental office.
