It took me a long time to find this nursery, but I’m guessing once you know where it is, it is easy to find. And I was able to call and get some directions when I got lost. It is not too far from Impossible Acres in rural Davis. The prices here are low. I’m no expert, but it looked like they do most of the propagation themselves instead of buying plants from the big companies, which ma explain the lower prices. The compost was only $ 3 for a 1-cubit bag, which is so cheap compared to what I paid at Home Depot. I appreciated that the plants came with planting instructions. When I was a novice gardener, I could have saved a lot of time and money if I had known certain facts listed on the planting guide(such as the type of soil and water in our region).

This place is just so wonderful. The service the man gave there was so nice, friendly, and informative. He seemed more than happy to help us with all the questions we had about the plants we were buying and the nursery in general. We had the most peaceful time shopping there for new plants our garden needed. I love the native plants there. Everything we were hoping to find was there. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great find.

Imagine my chagrin at just finding this place after living in Davis for 25 years :(. The good news is that I found it. Great prices, peaceful surroundings, and a very nice man to give advice(who I assume is the owner) equals me coming back here often from now on.

Super friendly and helpful service and well cared for nursery stock, your garden will love you for purchasing plants here. Our garden style leans towards neglect. Our trees and shrubs are on their own other than scheduled watering. We purchased a pomegranate tree a few years ago from Three Palms. Last fall we had a veritable solar system of huge fruit. We returned today to purchase tomato and squash seedlings and some flowering shrubs. I have high hopes that my vegetables will perform better than prior years’ which were purchased at big box or drug stores.

Just returned from buying plants for a make over of my front yard. Great nursery — so much better than the big chain stores and less expensive than other nearby nurseries. Everything is labeled with the requirements for light and expected height and width. Plants are grown on site and selected for our area. The owner lives on site and was very helpful. I definitely will return for my backyard plants.

This was just the place I have been looking for in the Davis-Woodland-Sacramento area. You will be helped by Phil, the owner, and he knows plants because he grows 99% of what he sells on site. He has native and drought tolerant plants and plants used in the UC Davis Arboretum. His plants are for our growing zone! He lives right next door and even has a landscaped area for a picnic or for the kids to explore. Prices are low. I live in Woodland and thought I was stuck with the big-box stores for plants. A gem of a place!!! Check out his website for a video tour.

I went there looking for a shade tree and the guy there wasn’t very helpful. He showed me a few options but didn’t give me any details about the trees(i.e. mature size, fast growing, water requirements, etc). Over all it seemed like he didn’t want to take the time to answer my questions. I much prefer the nursery in woodland for customer service and selection.

If you need to buy any type of plant, Three Palms Nursery is the place to go. The guy that works there, has a great knowledge of plants, he’s very helpful, and will answer all your questions to the best of his ability. Basically, he won’t B.S. you like some places might. The prices here are better than all the other competitors. Trust me, I’ve checked, b/c I recently bought a Persimmon Tree, and I called everywhere comparing prices. Three Palms was the best. The thing I like MOST about this place, was that they let me return my dried out Persimmon Tree, for a new bigger, better looking Persimmon Tree. The reason it was dried out, was my fault, I did not plant the tree right away, and waited 2 months. He also gave me directions on how to plant the tree, and fertilizer I should use when planting in the beginning. Most places would charge for such things. I definitely will go to Three Palms Nursery for all my planting needs.
