Omg just buy your Honda here. Trust me! Very laid back and knowledgeable salesmen. They even gave us some fried chicken!

Best auto service I’ve found in Davis so far.
Pros:
*Reasonable Prices (Once, I was quoted over $ 250 dollars for transmission fluid change. I went here, they quoted me $ 70). Their oil change price is very reasonable and competitive with others in the area.
*Great people! Their mechanics are always very polite, knowledgeable, and professional, and they make sure to call if there is anything I need to know.
*Great amenities. Love that they have free coffee, computers, and comfy chairs in the waiting room. Especially love the courtesy shuttle!
*Service is fast. They are always mindful of when I need the car back, and I’ve never had it late.
Cons:
Really, the only complaint I have is that it sometimes takes a while to be helped in their service lobby, even if you have an appointment.
Other than that, this is a really great place. I can’t comment on their sales side at all, however.

Fast service they always are able to help me. Once they even helped me change my head lights from led to the traditional ones. Staff is great and friendly. They also answer all questions politely. The prices are pretty good.

One of my front headlights was out so I bought new ones at O’Riley’s and came here to have the service crew install it. They did it for free and it took less than 10 min.

I appreciated that instead of them telling me there was something wrong with my car, they took me out back to show me what was actually wrong. Granted, it could have been the severity of the damage and putting it into words wouldn’t do it justice.
As far as the facility itself, the waiting area isn’t as big as the other places I’ve been, but it’s all good. The price of an oil change is in line with the other dealers in the Sacramento area. Maybe it was the day I came, but there isn’t as long as of a line as the other dealerships for oil changes.

Getting those done now. If all goes well, I’ll leave this review. If not, well, we’ll see!

Our daughter, having graduated, was leaving Davis to travel to a new job in Portland. A week ahead of her departure she put her car into this place for a service.. They were useless. The check engine light was on but they couldn’t identify the cause. Two days after she dropped the car off, they said she needed a new camshaft which would cost about $ 900 but they couldn’t be sure that it would fix the problem. So they ordered the parts. The day before she left they said that there were other problems so they couldn’t install the camshaft. So I collected the car 15 minutes before they closed, the night before she left. The guy at the checkout desk didn’t know anything about the car and seemed happy about it, chuckling as he told me that someone else had worked on it. I paid them almost $ 1000 for the service and for 3 tires. When i got into the car, the check engine light was still on. Normally I wouldn’t have accepted. the car but what could we do — we were driving out next morning. She drives the car to Portland and we take it to a local shop. The guy there IMMEDIATELY diagnoses a faulty oxygen sensor. Replaces it. Check engine light is off, and has stayed off. Glad she has found someone both competent and trustworthy. In Portland. Not in Davis.

I drove from San Diego and needed an oil change. Took my car to University Honda and they did a very good job. In about 35 minutes they inspect the battery, all fluids, tires, changed the oil and filter and even washed my car. On top, they honored my San Diego Dealership coupon!

So Tom in the service department was absolutely wonderful! We were on our way through Dixon when we parked to look up directions and noticed that our car wouldn’t shift back into drive. We managed to solve the problem temporarily only to find out that our brake lights were out also due to a bad brake switch. I got University Honda on the phone and Tom told us to come right down. When we got there we were ready to install the part ourselves (it should have been an easy fix) but we were without a tool that we needed to get in. Tom said he’d do it for us. We were in and out under half an hour and on the road again. We had excellent service here! We Loved Tom!

University Honda would not honor my coupon received from Mel Rapton Honda when I purchased my Civic 6 months ago. The coupon was for a free oil change, first time, as a «thank you» for purchasing my car. Going back to Mel Rapton is not convenient as I work a UCD, and I was both surprised and disappointed that another Honda dealer service department would not honor it as a «public relations» effort for potential future service with them (again, I am in Davis so I would have planned on using them for future service needs — not now).

What a great consistent experience with the UH Service Department! It has been nearly ten years I have purchased and leased my cars from Davis — UH.

This review is for the service department. I’ve always hated going to dealers to get my car serviced until I found University Honda Service. The staff here is great and always willing to answer any question… even dumb questions too without making you feel dumb. lol. Great prices and quick turn arounds (of course waits are expected when they are busy). I don’t think Sunday express service is open any more but things still work great. Roll your Honda through… you wont regret it.

My vehicle requested maintenance today, including an oil change and air filter replacements. When I pulled up in labeled vehicle drop off area, there was no one in sight, either employees or patrons. I wandered inside seeking someone to talk to regarding the service. It took a minute to figure out who I needed to talk to regarding my vehicle. The gentlemen seemed less than interested in helping, telling me to return in an hour and a half to pick up my vehicle ad the cost would be $ 200.
I was not invited to wait in the customer area nor were there any customers there. The area was small and uncomfortable. After taking a call outside, I noticed my noticed my car pulled into the vehicle return waiting area after 45 minutes. I couldn’t find any employee to ask if my vehicle was ready. After an additional 45 minutes (totaling the 1.5 hours) an employee approached to say my vehicle was ready.
I’ve taken the vehicle several other places to get it serviced, and have been invited to stay in the waiting area until the vehicle is ready. The other establishments are generally comfortable, and the vehicle is washed and gets a light vacuuming.

Truly sucky wifi and connected bandwidth. Come on Honda the internet is here to stay. If I have two wait 2 hours for an oil change provide a good connection.
Oh, the car service. I’ve only ever had oil changes done, those are reasonably priced and usually but not always done quickly.

I had a great experience buying a car here but the service center needs improvement. I always wait at least 15 – 20 mins sometimes 30 just to talk to a service rep and check in my car despite how long or short the line is. It would be nice if they at the least acknowledged those who are waiting especially when you’re the only customer waiting. Or if another service rep who is not busy could jump in and ask if they could help the waiting customer. I’m usually just standing there going to be noticed.

After trying to figure out what was making the raddling noise in my car, I decided to go to Davis Honda. Purchased my 2014 Accord from Elk Grove Honda and no help were they!!! Took it there twice! I brought my to Davis, and instantly the tech knew what was wrong. I wasn’t even there for more than 5 mins and the problem was basically fixed! Needed to order the part, but at least I don’t have to listen to the annoying raddling sound anymore!!! The service guy went above and beyond helping me with another minor issue when he didn’t need too! I told him he can say no, but he helped me out right away! Thank you! I will def drive from North Sac to Davis to get my car serviced.

Yes, we drive from Sacramento to Davis to get my 2003 Honda Accord EX taken care of for anything majorly-​Honda related. In other words, anything that takes true mechanics skills beyond the oil changes and replacing spark plugs that Scott can do.
Why do we drive to University Honda in Davis? Because their service department is awesome… such nice guys EVERY time we go in there, especially Tom. He always explains things in laymen’s terms so even I can understand what’s happening with the car. And we never feel like we’re getting ripped off or upcharged («Looks like you need a new johnson rod there, folks…»). We’ve never had to bring the car back because the job wasn’t done correctly the first time. When they say the car is gonna be done by a certain time, we get the call and it’s ready by that certain time.
Anyway, felt I needed to update my older review. And, I’m not so bitter to Honda anymore, and would gladly purchase another Honda Accord EX Sedan in the future. :)
In the end, I highly recommend University Honda’s Service Department if you’re a Honda owner… they deserve your business and are just so darned nice :)

The service department is awesome and they are super friendly. I am usually hesitant about taking my car in because a lot of service departments tend to be overpriced and I feel like they trick me into getting this and that done just because I’m a girl, but not this place. I only trust them with my car. You guys are great!

This is a service department review.
It is very hit and miss. I used to come here and it seemed to be better back then. However, I brought my car in recently for a recall notice and an inspection/​fix anything that was deemed necessary. They asked to keep the car all day and said they would call if there were any recommendations, the car would be ready at 4. I took the shuttle home and finally decided to call them at 4:30 when I had not heard anything all day. The shuttle couldn’t figure out how to pick up everyone I guess, so I sat around for a while, finally got picked up at 530, only to get there and find out they had several recommendations for fixes that were urgent, but of course couldn’t be done now that it was after 5. It felt very disorganized and I was frustrated as I had specifically asked to be called and wanted them to do everything they recommended. Additionally, the lady next to me waited over an hour for the shuttle in the morning because they only have one driver. I probably won’t be back here much, there are private shops in town with better customer service.
