This place looks like nothing, but the service is quick and friendly and the food is delicious and inexpensive. Don’t leave without trying the fried Oreos!!!

Stopped again, got stew and a half chicken to go. Stew was too sweet and below room temp. Had to have them warm it up. Chicken wad inexplicably underdog at the thigh, pink and bloody and overdone in the breast. Shame, because the flavor was good
Waited in line, got to tg he front and the cashier took a phone call right in my face. I’m sorry, the guy standing in front of you should get the priority

Diamond in the rough is the best way to describe this place. Stopped here on the way back from Atlanta and absolutely loved it. I ordered the bbq pork sandwich plate with fries as the side and sweet tea to drink. Loved everything. The pork is pulled in sauce on a burger bun. Sauce wasn’t too sweet or spicy, but just right for my taste. Fries were regular crinkle style, salted just right. Sweet tea was just as I like it, sweet. Stop here if riding thru Dawson and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Really good food! Fried green tomatoes were great. Ribs were meaty and delicious. Coleslaw was not minced, again really good. Just eat there.

Best ribs I’ve had in a long time!!! If you’re luck enough to try the homemade pork rinds, get ready because they’re the best!!!

I had the BBQ sandwich plate. The sandwich and coleslaw were delicious and just the right amount of drippy. The mac, eh nothing special. My husband had the Rib plate he said mine are better, so sweet, guess it’s the love I put in them. I snag one of his onion ring the minute it hit the table, yum! So glad I made an impulsive U turn.
The restroom was clean but out of TP.

In town for a job for a few days. Absolutely delicious bbq. Worth the wait that others have complained about. Good prices too. You can get a half a chicken and two sides plus a drink for less than ten bucks. The Potatoe salad and bake beans were fresh and delicious. The bbq sauce can be bought separately and you’ll probably want a jar to take home.
If you’re just driving through and want a little local cuisine it’s definitely worth the stop. Better than anywhere in nearby Albany.

WONDERFUL FOOD AND SERVICE!
Try the mac and cheese bites and the brisket sandwich. SO DELICIOUS! You really can’t go wrong with anything. Wings, chicken plate, BBQ sandwich are all great!

Just passing through town and stumbled on this gem! Great food excellent service, clean and comfortable dinning area.
Must try the brisket sandwich! They are modest in the description but what a sandwich! The cook filled me in that the add smoked provolone, combined with the BBQ sauce, it was heavenly.
