Proceed with extreme caution. Waitress screamed at me, and said I was saying things that I know I didn’t say, for no reason tonight, suffering from extreme delusions. Cook covered in tattoo’s, don’t know if he’s been tested for Hepatitis. Rats and mice running through the place because they keep their backdoor open, a Health department nightmare. Coffee cups are Brown so you can’t see if they washed them enough. Most of the customers and help looked like they got an extreme beating with an ugly stick. One waitress was nice, but she left and the crazy one waited on me. Lot’s of low life customers, lunch time crowd seems ok, though. I’d give them a 0, but there is 1 nice waitress. Think I’ll wait 2 years to return, maybe then it might be under new management and cleaner. Five Brothers restaurant, a couple blocks away, is better food, cleaner, no crazy’s.

Meh. Mashed potatoes not real and the food is what you’d expect. But, it’s clean and the waitresses are friendly. Nice biker hang out!!! Even though the food isn’t the best this was my dad’s favorite place, so I’ve got a soft spot for this place.

People who say that this is the ghetto area of DYT are out of their minds. Apparently, people who call this a ghetto have never been in a real ghetto. The food here is typical diner food, but it is super cheap. You can walk in this place with literally 5 dollars and not leave hungry. I am serious! They have a 5 dollar meal here which includes biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast, and tons of other things. The staff here is always friendly, and there is always something going on at this place to talk about, or keep your mind occupied. Don’t be afraid of this neighborhood. Their regulars are nice and even super talkative! They are just typical eastenders. Plenty of personality and ok Diner food to experience here!

I’ve only ever been here after a night of booze, butts and bangin’ babes but I have to give it props for always putting up with my drunk ass. The service is excellent and food delicious from what I can remember. It’s close to downtown and easy to get to from da club. Cash only so don’t blow your wad too early.

A true hometown diner, full of locals, always a bit busy, with an amazing menu that is quick and sooooo cheap. We go here as often as we can! The neighborhood is a bit sketchy looking, but perfectly safe during the day.

First time at Abner’s. I ordered breakfast of two eggs over easy, home fries, fried thick Bologna and biscuit. Nice coffee. There is about ten regulars holding court. This a friendly neighbor place. On the chalkboard behind the counter, they offer homemade soup. My order was served, food was cooked to as ordered. It was a decent, tasty. I was pleased. We will come back again, soon.

Best food for the price, made fresh to order. I love the B3 which is 2 eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy, and toast for 4.95.

Located in one of the scariest areas in East Dayton, this little place resides in between the liquor store and an appliance place. The big board has a selection of breakfast platters that will blow your mind. The service is incredible, always timely and prompt. Wonderful place to people watch, or just sit and play scratch-offs with a friend. Also, one of the best burgers I’ve had in Dayton.
