Affinity Salon & Day Spa

This was my first visit to Affinity Salon & Day Spa. I had scheduled a Brazilian wax with Abby. When I arrived, I was greeted by the receptionist, who checked me in and directed me to a waiting are that was set up like a little café, with tables and chairs. There was a variety of beverages available.
When Abby came out to get me, I explained this was my first waxing experience. I am a plus-​sized woman, so I was very nervous about the procedure. Abby explained exactly what would happen, and was very friendly and professional. The facility was clean and comfortable. The waxing was quick and nearly painless. I am very happy with the results. I will definitely be scheduling future appointments with Abby.

I loved it here! Alex is by far the best esthetician Ever. I got a Brazilian and it was literally painless. If I wasn’t leaving town I would always come here to get waxed. I highly recommend it! :)

I got a Brazilian wax from Alex. She is great and puts you right at ease! Easy to talk to and doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable. The wax took no time at all and looked great. Sometimes she’s hard to get an appointment but it’s well worth the wait.

I’ve been coming to Affinity for over a year & I have always received exceent service. Nick does my color & cut & I have the best hair of my life. He is genuinely interested in my hair & tactfully reels me in when I want something outrageous. He also has the knack of making me feel beautiful & like I’m the ony client he has. He even came in on his day off to do my hair for a special event. I couldn’t ask for anything more!

This is like NYC in Dayton. Craig Burkholder is a true master and has assembled quite a team. Abby Combs keeps my wife’s nails looking great. And Larry keeps her relaxed with excellent massages.

I’ve been going to Affinity Salon and Day Spa for 5 years. Affinity’s staff is professional, friendly and courteous. I’m treated well from the moment I walk in to the moment I leave. The facility is very clean, nicely decorated, and laid out well. The check-​in/​check-​out counter is separate from the comfortable waiting area, which adds to the professional feel of Affinity.
Affinity is highly focused on customer satisfaction. I receive hair services from Megan and Nick — I cannot say enough about their knowledge, skill, and ability to listen and respond to what the customer wants. Thanks, Affinity, for being a trustworthy and consistently great place to go for hair and spa services!

For an Aveda salon, this place doesn’t deliver. I was coldly greeted at the desk and simply told to wait on what looked like lawn chairs. No one offered me a beverage, or bothered to inform me that the stylist would be 20 minutes behind schedule. She rushed through my haircut and entire experience I expected. I received no mini facial or scalp massage. I could have saved about $ 50 by going to Great Clips for the same experience.

I have been to this salon a few times with different stylists and always get great color and cuts. I try different salons but always return. Customer service is great, a top notch salon that makes you also feel right at home. Top this all off with Aveda products!

Spa seemed nice when I walked in and I was promptly greeted by one of the receptionist. I had booked an appointment with Alexandria a few days earlier for a Brazilian wax. I didn’t have to wait long at all for her to come get me for my appointment. She was super friendly and The esthetician room was small but cozy. Alexandria was very professional, and made me feel completely comfortable. This was awesome considering how close and personal we were about to get. Alexandria was fast and did a great job with my Brazilian. I know a lot of people don’t talk about getting waxed but I think this spa deserves credit for such a good job.

Hadn’t had a brazilian in a long time, and decided to go for one again. Alex did a great job, very professional and QUICK. Highly recommend, especially for first-​time waxers.

A recent transplant to Ohio, I spent many a day worrying about where I could get a bikini wax. When I couldn’t afford to wait any longer, I made an appointment at Affinity Spa and Salon. I was very impressed upon arrival. I was greeted immediately, the facilities were clean and orderly, and I was offered a drink as someone took my coat. Alex performed my service and it was a lot less painful than bikini waxes I had experienced in the past. She did a through job and made me feel at ease during what could be an awkward first meeting. Great experience. Will definitely go again

I have mean hair that misbehaves that takes a good stylist to cut it properly. Lisa at Affinity is that stylist. She not only can make my thick, wavy, frizzy hair look good on its worst day, but she can cut it so that I can manage it until my next cut. And she’s also fun to talk to while you’re in her chair. :)
The waxing services at the spa are also great. I use Saundra.
Front desk is super friendly and helpful as well.

I had a haircut and color here with Anna? Annie? I am not sure. I know she is like a second or third generation stylist, but I am terrible with names.
She was really FAST! And I think that is awesome. I don’t like to hang out and have it take all day when getting my hair done, and she is really efficient and talented. She is young, but you can tell she has a lot of experience. Both fast hair and good, I am sold. It took like less than 2 hours to get the cut and full head color.
The whole thing cost about $ 100−120ish? I don’t remember because i bought some products and tipped too. I think it was closer to 100, and that is a great price for such high-​quality service.
The salon is really big and they have nice equipment and use good products (Aveda). The music varied across a range of hipster, but it wasn’t off-​putting. It was kinda fun.
I definitely recommend her and the salon!

I suggested this place for my sister in law to be pampered on the day of her wedding. I had had great experiences with this salon in the past, solely with wedding parties. This past Saturday, I went in for an up do, makeup, and nails, along with my sister in law, her sisters, and our mothers. Overall we were extremely disappointed by the professionalism of some of the staff. Each person who provided the services was very nice, listened to what we requested, and actually did a fantastic job, however there was no one to coordinate the time frame of our services (which is not the job of the stylists, make up artists, or nail technicians, this is the job of a manager). When paying top dollar for services (well over $ 300), one expects a level of professionalism and a coordination of services. The front desk staff did not greet us when we arrived, offer coffee or tea, and barely acknoweldged us when we left (after spending over $ 300). They were also dismissive, rude, and presented as though they just wanted us out of the salon, which worked because I will never recommend this place again. The staff was wonderful, however if the first people you meet are rude and dismissive, why return? For run of the mill services, I am sure they are fine, however they proved it was difficult for them to coordinate a wedding party. Will not recommend this salon again for anyone’s big day.

I have only used this Salon for the Aesthetician and it was a wonderful experience. The wax they use here only removes the hair and doesn’t use the strips that rip off the top layer of skin. They are very reasonably priced for the level of service that I received.
I can’t wait to go back!

This is an Aveda salon with full service. I got a great haircut from Libby, then went back for color. She did exactly what I wanted, and I have heard rave reviews from many about the other hair stylists, too. If I ever walked in without an appointment, I’d do it with no qualms. Regarding the spa services, I had a bikini wax and facial (2 different times) from Amanda, who was awesome (and many people in town know her by name). I don’t think I have ever been able to get the same service and level of skill out of any other aesthetician. The prices were not bad, the experience great, and I can’t wait for my next appointment.
