Basically BRitish has closed in 2012

Despite my selective eating habits, I found Basically British to be simply delightful. My co-​workers took me as a surprise for my birthday last year and despite my fear of having a menu pre-​picked for me — I found enough to eat. I ADORE tea, so having a huge menu of teas to choose from was lovely. The menu does change every month, but there is such a variety of things that are placed before you, it’s easy to find something delectable to savor. This is a wonderful place to bring someone for a special, one-​of-​a-​kind experience. Vicki and Terry were wonderful. Terry, with his british accent made me feel like I was in England. He even took our picture for us! The ambiance was lovely and I would love to go back when I can treat someone else. If you have tea needs, this is the place to go as well. The collection of tea pots made me envious!

Basically British now has a tea room with a menu that changes each month. We went in December and it was a one of a kind experience. They let you select a pot of tea from their extensive list and bring it out to you in a tea cozy. Each member of your group gets to pick their own tea.
They then bring out a three tier serving tray with scones on the top, savory items in the middle, and desserts on the bottom. Each item is beautifully put together and makes for a very unique presentation. My favorite items were the scone and a chocolate cup with raspberry mousse inside it.
Everything was delicious and very well made. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. We even got a Christmas cracker as a bonus since it was Christmas. I can’t wait to go back!
