First time there tonight– Fun atmosphere – the Clash was playing– Had a very nice grilled chicken sandwich and a Goose Island IPA – no complaints! The waiter was very nice–

Got to stop in to Blind Bob’s for a really late lunch after my meetings for the day. Really glad that I did! As soon as I stepped in the door, I knew I picked the right place. It was kind of dark and dingy with lots of neon beer signs, PBR galore. These types of places always seem to have the best burgers! After browsing the menu for a while(so many good sounding options!) I decided to go with the Ragin Cajun burger and some waffle fries. The burger was stuffed with bacon and bleu cheese. What? It also had more bleu cheese on top and some Cajun seasoning. It was incredible. So juicy. Also, the waffle fries were probably the best I’ve ever had. These aren’t your Chick-fil-a waffle fries, they’ve got some serious seasoning. Might be the same Cajun seasoning that was on the burger. Got some ranch to dip in too, my goodness!

One of my favorite places to eat in the Oregon District! You have to try their waffle fries regardless of what else you order. They usually ha e a band after 9 and charge a cover, so if you’re just looking for dinner try to go earlier. Full bar available and patio dining in the warmer weather. They are known for their quesadillas which are pretty tasty, burgers and wraps are loved by friends but I like the spicy bayou grilled chicken. Mac and cheese bites are just ok, Kraft Mac.

Unique twists on classic bar food with great customer service. 4 draft beers on tap, Guinness &PBR are usually the staples. Great wings.

Brought a group of 16 for a sales meeting dinner. Menu was mostly sandwiches and burgers but every single person commented that their meal was great. Burgers were very tasty and made to order. We overwhelmed the kitchen but all arrived hot and made to order. Unfortunately I do not recall the name of the guy who served us buy he was outstanding. Tall skinny guy with a beard who kept drinks full, joked with us and hustled his butt off. In addition to our group he was taking care of most of the other tables as well. I’ve rarely gotten this good service at places like Mortons.

The bar is pretty decent. I went in on an afternoon because I read reviews on their«Awful Waffle» and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, that was a sandwich of the month so it was a limited time menu item. Their menu had a variety of other options from quesadillas, soups, salads, burgers, and sandwiches but I was only interested in the Awful Waffle(a chicken and waffle sandwich). Instead I ordered a Cider which is a dry hoppy cider from Cincinnati. I enjoyed it’s unique flavor and would definitely recommend it. They have a set up for live music so I assume they occasionally have performers. The only issue that I had was that it took a bit for me to get service when I came in(kept trying to make eye contact with the bartender) but once I got my cider he came back to check on me several times. If you’re in the area with time to kill, check out Blind Bob’s.

I love blind bobs Proper drinkers dive bar. Fair prices, good drinks, great bartenders and golden ter golf. Food is solid and steady in price, portion and quality. If you are looking for a place to be anytime of the day or night Blind Bobs is it.

Pickle soup! It doesn’t sound great, but it really is a delish pickle chowder. Other food is deice. Like in a good way tho. If you know what I mean. Like it is good but not 110% of 110%. Maybe like 90% of 90% for pub food.

Had lunch at Blind Bob’s today with a friend who was visiting from Chicago. The food was great(had a Reuben) and the service, fabulous. We had just run in from a severe storm and the guys seemed genuinely concerned that we were taken care of and had what we needed. Thanks guys!

They have awesome beer but their service is extremely slow and the staff is pretty rude and sarcastic to customers. We have been seated for over 30 mins and just got drinks. I had to find the waiter and ask to order. When he came over to or table he asked if we were ready to order. Well of course we were ready to order because I asked him to order. On their window they display a quesadilla but if you come in at 2pm on a Sunday you cannot order a plain cheese quesadilla. Hopefully you will have a better experience than me.

Although I do not reside in Dayton, ½ of my band does, so I find myself coming to town 3 – 4 times a year, to visit, play a show, and what have you. One regular destination is Blind Bob’s. Now although dive bars are usually my first destination, I am always open to any drinking establishment with personality, especially one that hosts live music. Blind Bob’s definitely encompasses both of the above. My band has performed there 4 times, so far, and it was always a good time. The crowd is pretty diverse, with people from all walks of life there. They have a pretty good menu and their bar is fairly stocked. The food itself is damn good for bar fare, and the pickle soup is a must have. The staff is really friendly, both to patrons and bands(though a drink comp for the bands would be nice). The stage is pretty small, more akin to a coffee house as opposed to a true music venue, but the sound makes up for it. The sound guy really knows his stuff. All in all, I really like Blind Bob’s. It’s kind of like a sports bar without the sports, with a diverse crowd, good food, live music, and an all around party-like atmosphere. Definitely a crown jewel in Dayton’s nightlife.

First of all, this place has nothing to do with window treatments. According to their website, Blind Bob’s is an «American Tavern» and I’d have to agree with that description. There’s plenty of food and drinks and a busy, hustle and bustle atmosphere during Sunday Brunch. It’s über casual, comfortable and inviting. I can see why it’s a big hit with the folks in the Oregon District of Dayton. They were definitely understaffed on a busy Sunday afternoon but they still made sure they took care of us from start to finish. Kudos and bonus points for them. As for lunch, everyone in our party was happy with their food, except me. The chicken and waffles, burgers, teriyaki chicken sandwiches and omelettes that were brought out from the kitchen were definite hits. I ordered the Ultimate Falafel with a side of potato chips but unfortunately, I chose badly this time. It really just wasn’t very good. I even shared some of it with a couple of my dining partners and they agreed that it was pretty«Meh». Oh well. The chips were pretty damned good, homemade and fresh with just the right saltiness to them. Libby V. shared some of her omelette with me and it was really good. I know what to get the next time. So the short and sweet: It could have been better, it could have been worse but hanging out with some of Dayton and Springfield’s top Unilocalers really made my day. I’ll be back to give Blind Bob’s another try sometime. ***Many thanks to Kimball C., Valerie W., Mr. M&P, Libby V., Bob V., and Matt V. for coming out on a rainy Sunday to this UYE. This is what it’s going to take to get Dayton Unilocal off the ground. You guys made this a really nice afternoon for me and I’m looking forward to seeing you guys next time!

Do you ever go out with a group of people, struggle a bit to choose the«perfect» option from a list of VERY tempting choices, and then, once your meal arrives, spend the rest of the meal secretly wishing you had ordered what someone else had ordered?!? Me? ALLTHETIME! But NOT at this Sunday’s UYE so expertly planned out by Columbus’ own MIKE G., and the Dayton/Springfield«irregulars,» including Libby V. and Kimball… It’s hard to find a good brunch spot, and even harder to make a choice that bridges the gap between breakfast and lunch, and since the Mr. and I did have a very early breakfast(but I still LOVE breakfast foods any time of day!!) I had my work cut out for me with BB’s eclectic menu choices. Didn’t really want more eggs, though their omelet choices look great, not really in the mood for a burger, I was browsing the app. menu and the interesting sounding sandwiches(great meat-eater and veggie options) when I saw the special of the month, the«awful waffle.» Chicken with spinach and melted American cheese with maple syrup on a waffle might not have been part of my «agenda» when I sat down, but if anyone else near me had gotten one and I didn’t, I might have died of jealousy… LOVED it, so much in fact that I resisted the urge to gobble it all down(helped to have great company and lots to talk about at our UYE, thanks again MIKE G.!!) so I could have leftovers. The Mr. also loved his Teriyaki chicken sandwich and homemade chips. $ 2 Bloody Mary?!? Icing on the cake! I suppose this place can get super crowded on weekends, and judging by just recent listings, they do attract some great music here, but I learned long ago never to overlook dive bar food, and BB’s certainly did not disappoint. We lucked out Sunday at 1pm finding a table for a larger crowd, but I’d say cross your fingers and hope other hungry Daytonians all don’t have the same idea when it comes to getting a relaxing, delish brunch on in this area! YUM!

This place is a great surprise. I had the grilled peanut butter and jelly; three slices of sourdough bread, peanut butter, grape jelly and honey AND sliced almonds!!! The best part was I upgraded the usual side chips for hummus — and they fry their own pita chips! THEYFRYTHEIROWNPITACHIPS! Warm, crunchy, hearty heaven. I can’t help but love the bar staff too; what’s up with the long grizzly ZZTop beards? They certainly pour a perfectly tasty vodka tonic.

I had a wonderful meal here, with the unexpected surprise of dill pickle soup, a potato based soup with just a hint of dill tartness. The food was quite good, the atmosphere was not noisy but had great background music to include a wonderful song called«Bone Me Like You Own Me». I also want to clarify something about the staff there. Amber was our server. She was delightfully engaging, friendly, responsive and couldn’t have been better. I realize that there is a negative review on her and I believe it to be one that is quite unfair and inaccurate. A great gauge of what I think of a place is whether I would take clients there after a long day of meetings. The answer is yes, I’d take them here. It’s causal, fun, nice, good food and great service.

I often pay a visit to the Oregon District just outside of the Dayton area here in Ohio and there hasn’t been a time I’ve come through without stopping at Blind Bob’s. This place has the best food in the state of Ohio. My personal favorite is a sandwich called«The Screamer» — it’s literally so good it will have you screaming before you take your last bite. Highly recommend giving this place a try, you won’t regret it!

Excellent food, reasonable price, intelligent waitstaff. I recently completed eating every menu item and have been wholly satisfied by every dish. The menu covers a lot of territory. Find something you like and try their take on it. Portions are generally large and the featured soup is always worth trying. If you have a problem with the service, you probably need to settle down. The good news is that the people you are dining with can see that you are a bad person and are wholly unreasonable with people in your service.

This is a great place! I frequent to the Oregon District and this is definitely a stop. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the choice of drinks is fantastic. Although I wish they had more taps available, their beer rotates a lot. They also have a good selection of local as well as a large variety of cans and bottles. Make sure to try their dill pickle soup! I would suggest anything on the menu.

Blind Bobs is the best spot in the Oregon District. I generally get their quesadilla or wings. Omg, those wings are heavenly. Be prepared to fight over them if you are sharing. Bobs has a good beer selection too, if they don’t have something you like, you probably shouldn’t be drinking beer. The crowd is a bit of a cluster, a little bit of everyone goes there which is cool. An overall good spot to hang out.

Came here after someone from Dayton recommended it so I knew I wouldn’t be steered wrong. When I walked in, I was apprehensive! It is literally a large dingy bar, in an oddly charming way. We started with the bourbon chicken wings, they were such a great start to the meal and set our standards high. Next we tried the fried pineapple rings, they were awesome but way too rich to share with just two people. I could only eat one but they made for an awesome snack later! Let’s get to the real reason we came here… Two words… Stuffed burger! We heard that these are the star here! This was definitely one of the better burgers I had. It was stuffed with bacon and cheese, I wish I didn’t split it so I could’ve had more! Don’t be discouraged by the a atmosphere, get yourself a stuffed burger!
