Great coffee shop with incredible coffee. They really know their stuff and I’m a coffee snob. The only downside is the atmosphere isn’t great. The inside needs a serious update. But it’s good coffee and a quiet place to hangout.

Terrible experience! And what awful rude customer service! I bought an over-​priced ($ 13) bag of coffee to bring to a social gathering and it was not marked as being de-​caf. When we made the pot, it tasted very acidity and clearly was not caffeinated coffee. Upon calling the store the next day to ask for a new bag and what had occurred, a very rude barrista would only say she would talk to her manager who wasn’t there. I said that isn’t acceptable and we are bringing the bag in today to exchange it. She said ok. Upon arriving at the store, we were told they would not exchange an open bag of coffee, even one that was not marked as de-​caffeinated and tasted awful! The rude barrista reeked of smoke as she leaned over the bar and had the audacity to say I was rude to her over the phone! Which I was not, just matter of fact. Whatever happened to good customer service and acknowledging mistakes and wanting to keep business? Like exchanging a bag of coffee is too much for them. Avoid this place at all cost unless you want to be greeted by a bunch of smokers standing outside the door, the reek of nasty smoke from the mean barrista, and over-​priced terribly tasting coffee! If you can call it that!

Went here for coffee with a friend. I have been to several Boston stokers but this by far was my favorite experience. Upon entering, was very clean and had a nice rustic appeal to it. The Baristas’ we’re very polite and so social. They made sure they did one of those fancy designs in my latte with the creamer. First time ever at Boston Stoker, they served my coffee on a wooden tray with a seltzer water. Gave the experience and little extra compliment. I sat out on the outside deck and had a great conversation and a great Latte. Would definitely make this my primary coffee shop.

Excellent coffee, and a great cigar selection! I love the atmosphere of this place, very chill and laid back. An expresso and a Macanudo, I’m good.

The coffee here is pretty much the best you can get in Dayton for sure. It’s all very high quality and fresh roasted in Vandalia, sometimes you can purchase coffee that was roasted just the day before. They also make a pretty killer latte and cappuccino. The atmosphere is okay, back when I lived in in town it used to be more colorful and artsy but for some reason all the art got taken down and the walls were whitewashed. This makes me sad. Also sometimes they have really obnoxious music playing, last time we were in they were blasting loud, teeny poppy-​rock. Not what I personally like to listen to, but definitely not coffee shop appropriate. My friends wanted to leave immediately because of it. It’s no longer really a cozy environment but I’ll still be in for the coffee.

This is a great coffee shop. I have learned to appreciate the complex flavors of Boston Stoker coffee. It tastes better as a pour over so if you have time, that is what I recommend. They have great warm chocolate chip cookies at this one and the staff are great. They really are a great local Dayton company. They roast their beans here in Dayton, it doesn’t get fresher than that.

This place beats Starbucks in soooo many levels! Even the coffees in Seattle and I’m very serious about this!
Man, for 2 consecutive days I begged my fiancée to take me to this place for my everyday dose of coffee as we visit his family here in Dayton.
The latte and mocha was out of this world good. Perfect blend mocha with just the right amount of sweetness and the attention to detail is just phenomenal. I end up buying dark chocolate covered coffee bean and real premium coffee beans as I def would wana make my coffee with what they are using!
Now I wish they have a branch in San Diego!

Being a frequent customer of their sole Columbus location, I figured I should check out the one in my own home town. I was shocked at how different yet equally amazing this Stoker was! Way larger than the one in Columbus with far more seating, and more drink options (as well as other food and novelty items) as well.
The coffee is phenomenal and locally roasted, you really cant beat it. Carey, my barista was awesome and helped me pick a great roast ive never tried before. They are all skilled at their craft of making a delicious cup of coffee and satisfying the customer. Everyone working is super friendly and helpful. They also sell cigars which go great with a cup of coffee.
The inside is spacious and accommodating for people wanting to study, relax, loiter with friends, or even have a small group meeting. All of those things are great while getting hit with the scent of stellar coffee. Check out this location, or any other Boston Stoker location as they will all lead you to satisfaction.

Another great highlander grog latte… Love this place. Great roasts, great atmosphere, great staff. They offer a walk in cigar room (don’t know what it’s called) and freshly roasted coffee you can’t get elsewhere. Sometimes there is live music and usually there is a comfy couch to plop on with a book. Great study space or sit and chat with a friend space.

Boston Stoker, a Dayton coffee shop, shares a homegrown vibe that puts many visitors at ease. Their indoor space looks like a living room decorated with several antique-​looking brown tables. As a Dayton native, they locally source their goods and sell them to area groceries like Dorothy Lane. Everything else that they sell uses USDA organic and fair trade labels, which makes my day.
I ordered a caramel Americano latte that tasted rich, strong, and natural. They use a natural creamer that really balances the flavor. Another win. One word of advice: If you usually go to chain coffee stores, know that they traditionally create their specialty coffee drinks.
As a coffee fan, I also enjoy relaxing at their outdoor patio and indoor «living room.» If you have serious studying to do, this isn’t the best place since they play lovely, blasting music, but they confidently brew strong, fair-​trade coffee. Perfect for a coffee person’s day!

Unlike Bram Stoker’s Dracula, this place sure doesn’t suck! Talk about a coffee made with just the right amount of bite! I vant to get back there as soon as possible. Maybe I will just transform into a bat and fly over right now!!! Boston strong.

Best coffee joint in Dayton… hands down! I’d rather go here than Peets, Starbucks or Saxbys.

WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER YOU SMOKE! March 22 at 5:00 pm stopped in. Two young ladies working. The heavier of the two had to smoke every 30 minutes. Other lady worked all the time. Each smoke break was 10 minutes and each time she came straight back in and started making coffee without washing her hands! This is so gross. Didn’t say anything but she did it with our order and kept doing it. What a shame that non smoker had to do most of the work.

The most amazing coffee you can ever find. They smoke Starbucks coffee. I recommend getting a pour over coffee and choose from a wide variety of blends from all over the world. Their baristas are also good especially Café Mocha. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful.

Dear Dayton Coffee Drinkers,
The variety of roasts here and the fact that it is local are the only reasons needed to have a nice cup at the Boston Stoker. I am not a cigar fan so I cannot comment on that selection but everything else was cute and comfortable. Perfect spot for a rainy day with your kindle.

Excellent in-​house roasted espresso and coffee (including all the trendy methods), chocolates, very good baked goods, fast wifi, comfy chairs, great retail selection, and whoa… a decent cigar humidor?! I’m going to retrofit my man-​cave by shoving this place in my basement and plugging in my Playstation. Yeah, they’ll end up with cat fur over everything… oh well!

My hangout for sure! The coffee is top notch, and really that is the most important thing. I would argue that Boston Stoker coffee rivals any that I’ve had in the US, and I go out of my way to find great coffee shops and roasters. I love the overstuffed chairs and the regulars that hangout here including the knitting ladies, the runners and the old-​timers!
The single origin coffees are fantastic. Forgive me for my misspellings, but the Bali Kintamani, The La Flor, Yrgacheffe and of course La Manita light roast are a few of my favorites.
I do miss John roasting coffee on Saturdays, however. That just doesn’t seem right, and sometimes I have to stand on a chair to turn down the loud music, but BS is still my favorite coffee shop around.

I’m from Southern California and I have had amazing different types of coffee in my day but this one. Oh this one wins my heart! The coffee tastes of higher quality and wakes me up way faster than Starbucks, Seattles Best and any other major coffee chain. The staff here is friendly, so helpful, and overall just a delight to interact with. They’re drinks are DELICIOUS. I love that their prices are less expensive than the chains. I love the ambience in this shop, great seating, lighting and music, also they sell cigars… Which I haven’t really glanced at.
Will be taking a bag or two of their coffee with me when I head back home. :)
