Keep your #$#@! big box stores. THIS is what a hardware store is supposed to be. The look. The smell. The ambiance. The goods for sale.
If you don’t visit Dingles while in Dayton, you will not see what American retail was like before the WalMarts and Home Depots.
I was so glad to see it still open last week end after first visiting it 10 years ago. May Dingles have many more years!!!

This little place is just awesome. This is what used to be called a long time ago a «general store.» You can get a little bit of everything here. It’s not just a hardware store, it’s also a place where you can get clothing, camping supplies, and home and garden supplies. They also have toys and games. This place is huge. The prices aren’t great, but when you need something, it’s perfect, and you don’t really care what you pay. And, what do you expect in a small town. The staff are helpful, and friendly.
