Clean place, clean restrooms. We got free tickets to a Friday night show so we got to go on a double date. We ate beforehand based on prior food experience(I do not recommend the food!). The drinks we got were delicious although it was a long time before anyone took our order. When my friend ordered a glass of wine and a water, she was told should would have to pay for the water because it was a 2 drink minimum. We knew about the minimum but it was said pretty rudely.

This place is a decent venue to watch comedy acts. Service is a bit slow, but maybe due to being understaffed. Kind of crazy to put a food and drink minimum on patrons, then not have enough servers. Although it’s a lot older and run down, Wiley’s comedy club is a better venue.

H and I came to Funnybone on a Sunday evening. It was our first time ever going to this chain. To say the least, we were happily surprised(especially with the nation-wide reviews). I should preface this by saying we knew about the«two item purchase per guest rule» and planned our dinner at a local restaurant with this in mind. Once you get passed the ticketing agents(which took us almost 15 total minutes because an agent mistakenly put us at the 10pm showing instead of the 7:30pm… and she blamed my H!), it’s a walk up the stairs where you’ll find a bar. From what I understand, the purchases at this bar don’t count toward your two-purchase minimum. Be wary! Upon walking into the showroom(or theatre? not sure what to call it), H and I were happily taken by the decent size of the room. We were even happier that we were basically facing center-stage and did NOT have to share our table with two extra patrons since we were a party of two. About the food– if anything, get the pretzels! There were a few comedians(the opening MC, two openers and the main act) and all of them were decently funny in their own respects. I wasn’t wowed, but I wasn’t expecting to be(H and I have gone to a few in NYC– they’re hilarious there!) and therefore I was pleasantly content. Things To Keep In Mind: — two item purchase minimum — purchases at the bar’s «foyer» don’t count toward two item purchase — may be seated with another group if you’re a party of two — food is honestly MEH, it’s not worth buying a meal IMO — tip is included in your bill, there’s an option to tip extra if so delighted

Went to see Mathew David Stanley, kids magic /comedian, very expensive, very boring. Both boys were glad when it was over, also the roof was leaking inside, manager said oh well, splashed ladies chair and her girls sitting next to us and my pants. Do not waste your money.

The comic here will either be good or bad, depending on them, and your taste. The food will always be lousy though. The menu consists of frozen appetizers and entrees that are microwaved for your dining pleasure. I recommend getting a meal elsewhere and just having beverages at the club.

Jay Phillips ripped it up Saturday night. Unfortunately, the wait staff did not. It wasn’t my first time at the Dayton Funny Bone. I had the wings with the bluebery habanero sauce on the side. I like the sauce — try it!(it’s not hot) The menu says you can get boneless wings — that’s not true. It was not clearly explained to me that night that you’d get the chicken tenders instead. So I get the wings, no silverware. I had date who also ordered food. I ask the server to bring«us» some silverware(I even point to my date as I am asking for the silverware) — the server plops down one set of silverware. Ok — so I order a second drink but also ask for water. 20 minutes later the drink arrives — no water. That night service stunk. Sadly, they include an 18% gratuity in the bill. SMH Go for the laughs — hopefully good customer service will show up.

I got tickets to see Chris Franjola, who turned out to be absolutely worth the hour long drive each way. This location is at an Easton-type shopping/dining center. We parked in a larger lot and only had a 5 minute walk. The club is on the second level, but the box office is right inside the doors before you go up the stairs. We arrived with 10 minutes to spare and were promptly seated at a four-top and sat facing the stage. Luckily the seats across from us were not filled. We got our order in to our server before the show started, and our drinks arrived shortly after. There is a 2 item minimum, but I was aware of that from past FB experiences. I got a Yuengling from the domestic beer list, which is a couple bucks cheaper than imports and the fried pickles. My daughter got the bottomless Coke(keep the cup) and chicken fingers with fries. The pickles come with a mustard dipping sauce which was okay, but I used the ranch dressing that my daughter got with her entrée but didn’t use. The pickles were just okay. Her meal was good, but she had to ask twice for a take-home box which never arrived. She forgot her Coke cup as well. The food is overpriced, but no surprises there. The service was fairly efficient. A big cup of water arrived before our drinks, which was nice. Our seats were comfortable, and we had a mostly clear view of the stage. When we exited, there were a few people lingering in a small area. I assumed they were waiting to meet Chris, but I didn’t want to wait in such a small area and I wasn’t sure if it was really happening. Alll in all it was a good experience and all 3 comics were funny.

Fun place to go for a night out. But only when tickets are free. Over priced food and average service. Sign up for their texts to get free or cheaper tickets.

We were here last night to see Christopher Titus and had a blast. The one thing I didn’t like was how close the tables were and how small they were. And it’s kinda pricey. They require you to order two items either food and a regular drink or two food items. Alcohol doesn’t count. But we had a really good time and enjoyed the atmosphere. Good place for a night out for a laugh. Awesome de-stressor.

I’ve been here twice. Once to see Jo Koy and again to see Kevin Bozeman, they were both hilarious. They require that you order 2 items off their menu for each show. I ordered fried dills and some funnel cake fries. I was not impressed with the food. I would have rather ate before the show and just purchased alcohol with my 2 item minimum from the menu.

This rating is for the food and service. My waiter was Matt; he was very slow and never returned after the food was delivered. He couldn’t describe what their medium was for a burger. We ordered medium and it was nearly medium rare, cool red center with blood. The tuna was bad, it tasted metallic and smelled worse. Because he never returned until the end of the meal I never had a chance to get anything else. When he took the plates away he asked if I’d like something else but the show was within 20 minutes of ending so no, everyone else was done eating. We asked for refills, he never returned. At least the tuna was not on the bill. I remember when this place had the best steak and seafood in town, sadly no more. We ordered the trio appetizer and it was obviously nuked in the microwave, the edges were bubbling but the center was still cool. Stick with chicken wings and fries. The atmosphere is great, the comedians are funny and we had a good time just eat somewhere else before you go.

Fun atmosphere and really not a bad seat in the arena. The sooner you buy your tickets, the closer you are to the stage. Food is alittle pricey($ 15-$ 25) for a sandwich and fries, yet really tasty. We will definately be back!

I am really impressed with this place! I went with my husband and two other friends to see Jo Koy last Saturday and we had a great time! Jo Koy is hilarious and the comic that opened for him, Ramon Rivas, was also super funny. Funny Bone itself is a really nice location. It’s at the Greene, so there’s parking always avalable. The club is pretty small, I think. We were seated on the third row right in front of the stage so we were super close, but not close enough to be noticed by the comic on stage. The food was pretty good. I had the loaded nachos and the tuna sandwich(which was surprisingly very good!). My husband had the chicken strips and we had a bucket of Yuengling beer. I think it all come up to about $ 48. The tickets alone were about $ 50 for two but usually I think they are about $ 15. Obviously Jo Koy is a special event so those were more expensive. When you order food, my advice is to order everything you want to order before the show starts, because if you don’t, your check will be completey messed up. We almost missed the opportunity to meet Jo at the end of the show because our waiter was pretty much incompetent. He completely jacked up our bill. The manager came out and apologized and gave us four free tickets to use in the future. He also went out to where Jo was signing autographs and made sure he stuck around for us to meet him. I wish establishments would care as much as this manager did.. and we didn’t even have to ask the manager to do those things! Things like this make all the difference. So in closing, we had an excellent night, despite our less than stellar waiter. Oh, and we were seated next to this gigantic snob of a woman that kept slamming against our chairs and when I said something to her she completely acted like an ass*olé. So we had to completely move our table away from hers to prevent any more drama. She didn’t laugh at any joke by the way. Insufferable is not enough to describe this lady. Either way… fun times were had and will definitely come again!

The Funny Bone is a great place to see a show — the lighting is good, I’ve never had a bad seat and the comedians are usually very good, especially for the price. The food is so-so, but I don’t expect much from a bar food menu in a comedy club. The last server was really nice and had a great sense of humor — she tended to disappear for long periods of time, so make sure to anticipate your own needs and ask for what you’d like when they come around — or expect a wait(expect one anyway). But you go here for the show, not the food or service, and the shows we’ve seen have always made up for any other small issues.

Rating is based on food only. Tip: Bring bottled water. On a busy night, water refills may not come by. $ 15 per show, +$ 3 fee. — — — — — — — – Where are all the Unilocalers at?! Do we not go to comedy clubs? lol For my husband’s Valentine’s Day, I took him to the Dayton Funny Bone inside THEGREENE and saw Emmy Award winning comedian, Paul Mercurio! But let me tell you about the food first. As it was a comedy club, I did not have high expectations for their food. I figured the food would be akin to cheap college dorms, mostly cafeteria level. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! $ 8 Chili Cheese Fries with special ranch sauce — surprisingly delicious?! $ 14 Chicken Cordon Bleu — Again, surprisingly delicious! Although it wasn’t made the way it was supposed to be. The chicken was grilled(not breaded), and the swiss cheese/ham was on top(not rolled up inside). It was served with a large eggplant and a bed of parboiled rice. The food was quite yummy O_o! — — - The comedy club was well decorated. This wasn’t some dirty, cheap, slum-like comedy club like the ones I’ve been to in Los Angeles(Culver City) when Margaret Cho was touring. We had three extra comedians come up and«warm up» the audience before Paul Mercurio came on. And wow, he completely stole the audience. He was so funny, without the need to use too many sex jokes. :) My favorite one was of how black men have«Anacondas» between their legs and have to swing it around their shoulder to carry it around because it was too long… lawl. This is a good place to come for a date if your date can take a joke, or for a girl’s night out in town. Dress casual to nice, but not formal. Note: By the way, if you’re sitting in the front, you’re just ASKING to get picked on. If you’re very serious and you can’t take a joke, ask to sit in the back.
