Food was okay the lady who is always there taking orders is rude and always talks down to us when we are there. They are very cheap when you ask for a few packets of spicy mustard.

So they have the best steamed dumplings with sauce to die for in this area! I order these alone and it’s a meal! Their chicken and broccoli, chicken cashew and lo mein are pretty good and my go-to’s. They are fast though! Really nit-picky people shouldn’t go here! I mean we’re in Dayton OH for goodness sake and they’re a pretty decent for a Chinese food restaurant!

Came here for the lunch buffet. They have some interesting choices in their buffet, in that they aren’t just run of the mill chicken in a sugar sauce with food dye. Can’t say anything was spectacular or above average. They have pork fried rice, which apparently some reviewers are freaked out about, so just a heads up if you are the type of person to get weird about that.

The wife and I were hungry for Chinese on a Saturday night around 8pm. After consulting the Unilocal app, we decided upon King Garden based on its overall rating it had received from a handful of reviews. Located in a small strip mall, King Garden is a small place, seemingly mom & pop run. It doesn’t offer delivery service(too bad), but does offer an AYCE lunch buffet despite limited in-house seating. Guessing from initial impressions, I’d say King Garden primarily caters to the lunch and carryout customer. We prefer Szechuan style Chinese since we love the spiciness. As a result, we ordered the Hot & Sour Soup(lrg., $ 3.75), the Bean Curd Szechuan Style($ 8), and the Sliced Beef Szechuan Style($ 9.25) for carryout. First, the Good: Portion sizes were generous. The large Hot & Sour Soup was quart-sized! Given the portions, prices were quite reasonable. Our dishes were made fresh to order, so they were piping hot and remained so in the brief time it took for us to get home. Now, the Bad: The dishes lacked appreciable levels of Szechuan spice and expected heat. The Hot & Sour Soup came closest, but while it possessed decent flavor, it was lacking in both spicy and sour notes. The other two dishes that were listed as Szechuan style came across more as Americanized Chinese sweet and sour. To make matters worse, the tofu was stir fried until it was dried out and leathery and the vegetables were limp and dull colored. While the execution and flavor of King Garden’s interpretation of Chinese cuisine may appeal to many, it wasn’t what we were expecting or had hoped for. What did we learn? There’s quality in quantity. For us, the small sample size of reviews provided an inaccurate expectation for our dining experience. That said, my personal Chinese food preferences might not be in the majority of lovers of Chinese food. Just don’t expect to receive authentic Chinese flavors if you order anything from King Garden’s menu as it’s entirely Americanized Chinese food. The lunch buffet may be your best bet, but for dinner your mileage may vary greatly.

My favorite little Chinese food place. I have yet to ever find a dish that I don’t like. Come for the lunch buffet during the week, and you’ll get to try a little of many different things. We were regulars when we lived here, and every time we come back for a visit, we make it back at least once.

Jason– Strip mall Chinese, let’s be frank, but best I’ve had around here. Decent price to feed four more than we needed. Best crab Rangoons in town flat out and I barely like the things. Girls finished without forcing. Colored pork in rice is odd, but it is fully cooked and the other reviewer is an idiot. All due respect… Jamie– thought the food was very decent, had shrimp lo mein and daughter had sesame chicken. Very tasty! Crab Rangoons are my fav thing and you can def tell this place cooks with fresh ingredients to include oil.

Great fresh food for a great price. You can even get the buffet to go. They weigh what you have and only charge you for that amount. So a typical buffet lunch to go for me is $ 3!

This is our favorite cheap Chinese restaurant in the area. Nothing super fancy but beats all the others around the Beavercreek area. We usually get General Tso’s, steamed dumplings, and hot and sour soup.
