Customer service is a thing of the past here. They take laziness to a whole new level. They cram their house brands down your throat and lack premium brands. They have limited selection. They are high priced. They don’t let you process your bank card as a credit card any more. They don’t take Apple Pay. Otherwise, a great place to shop.

This is a nice Kroger and, most importantly to me, there are store workers on every register, helping the lines stay down. I enjoy getting meals from their deli area. You can get restaurant quality food in generous helpings for $ 5-$ 6. Great baked chicken, breaded pork chops, vegetable medley, and mashed potatoes and gravy. In the soda section you can get three 12 packs for $ 10. Everything is stocked well, the place is clean, and there’s a good atmosphere.

I agree with the previous reviewer. This Kroger is the nicest in the chain that I have seen. They not only have a superb selection of various foods(e.g., cheeses, crackers, desserts, etc.), they also serve samples on Saturdays. Their health food section is also well-stocked and the employees are well-mannered and accommodating. To boot, the price is the same as what you find at other Krogers in the area.

I’m not sure how this particular Kroger hasn’t been reviewed yet. This is a «Kroger Fresh Fare», which is their upscale market version of Kroger. I lived not far from here and frequented this store up to Oct ’12 on a near daily basis. In comparison to other giant Kroger Marketplace stores and the older more classic regular Krogers, this one is probably my favourite ever. The meat and seafood selection here are excellent. Dry aged beef, fresh seafood, every friendly butcher and fishmarket staff. The produce here is excellent quality. I’ve found that when it comes to standard non-local produce you can pretty much get the exact same thing, from the exact same producers, cheaper by going to a store like this rather than one like Whole Foods, Earth Fare, DLM or Fresh Market. The organic/natural section here is well stocked, the cheese counter is run in partnership with Murray’s cheese out of NYC. This means that when you want a chunk of 2 year parmigiano reggiano you pay significantly less here than at other stores for the exact same product. They have a nice olive bar and prepared foods section. In addition the regular grocery store items are all standard Kroger prices. For a more«blended» shopping experience between the upscale/speciality grocer and the value branded standard grocer, this store is the best in the Dayton area. To be honest, since moving to Indianapolis, I miss this store a great deal because I have to go to a couple different stores just to get the things I could get in one place here, and I have to pay higher prices to do it. BTW, they’re open to 1am, which is pretty nice if you’re a night owl like me who likes to make dinner at 10pm. Decent wine and beer selection for a grocery store as well.
