I love this place! I got two pairs of garden gloves for $ 5, 2 halter tops for $ 6, some garden tools, and a jacket for my husband for about $ 15. We got a little table, from Wendy’s, perfect for our tiny patio, for$ 30. Just a word of warning. DONOT wear clean clothes! Some stuff was brought in yesterday(probably), and some of it in the 20th century. Look at it as an adventure.

Probably one of the most wonderful and incredible places I’ve ever been. Surplus electronics and industrial equipotent. If it has ever existed, now or in the past, you can probably find it here. The section for capacitors is bigger than most entire surplus stores. They have everything from o-rings to HeNe lasers, 25kA fuses down to magnet wire. Great selection of HAM radio and high voltage parts. Drill bits, pumps, raw cable, fans, variacs, fume hoods, 3ph generators, resistors 1/8W to 250W, every kind of discrete component you could ever want… I could go on all day. You will spend HOURS here just to see it all. If there was a downside, it would be that sometimes things are hard to find. If you just need to grab something and leave, check out the smaller Midwest Electronics Surplus in Fairborn OH instead.

An absolutely amazing store. There is a bit of random items on the first floor including clothes, plates, industrial kitchen equipment, desk chairs, filing cabinets, and hardware. The third floor is an electrical junkie’s dream. While there is a very small actual organized part of miscellaneous computer equipment as you get off the massive freight elevator, the rest of the floor is almost an entire free for all. The items are categorized in general areas(motors, wire, switches, capacitors, resistors, etc.) but within that you are almost guaranteed to find the parts you need for any project.

An indoor junk yard of beauty. Over the years I have bought EIGHT inch floppy disks, colorful rainbows of wire from their gargantuan rolls, a sports bra, random medical device equipment, cathode ray tubes, an electric motor for a toy-car, a leather skirt, old cloth banner advertisements for curtains, and a mannequin of a young boy’s abdomen. All for no more than $ 20 total, I would say. I once stayed a little late and got locked in the mannequin’s building. Good thing I don’t have a fear of mannequins. I managed to make a few phone calls and did not spend the night there… though it was spookishly tempting at the time.
