This place is one of my favorites. It’s a kitschy dive bar in the best way. It doesn’t pretend to be anything more, and that’s why it rocks. The staff are some of the nicest people you’ll meet in Dayton. They’ll remember your name when you come back. They don’t have anything on tap but they have a big selection in bottles. Their open mic night on Wednesdays at 9 is great. It’s a close knit group that’ll invite you in the play. If you’re looking for a fancy place, keep looking. But if you’re looking for a fun casual place, you’re home.

Came in here with a party of 5 around 3pm and we all got steak. All of our steaks were perfectly cooked to our tastes and t is rare to find some one who cooks my steak rare! Fast and friendly service!

Horrible experience, No beers on tap. I waited 20 minutes to be served. Got one and 30 minutes later they called last call. I waited around 15 minutes to be served then they stopped serving. I hadn’t even received service even though I waited as long as I did. I watched her, she didn’t even help 1 customer because she was too busy yelling into her horn. One of the guys was too concerned with stocking the bar for the next day and the other bartender didn’t help anyone. This was ridiculous. I will never return to this establishment. They seem to favor regulars over new patrons. Extremely over priced, I got a well whiskey and a coke and a craft beer and it was $ 10, this was over priced because I could have gotten the same thing for $ 4 less at a bar up the street, they also were only accepting cash.

I stopped in here before dinner on a recent visit to the Oregon District. It was a beautiful evening, and we sat upstairs on the balcony overlooking the street scene. I always try to remember to ask what’s in the well when ordering a VT or GT. In this case, I didn’t and got burned by the rotgut brand. Doh. I should know better. The other patrons hanging upstairs were having a good time with the bubblemakers. We kept seeing them on our other stops through the evening. The people, not the bubblemakers. A friendly lot. Overall, not a bad little dive.

I love this bar. Something about the décor inside makes me fall in love with it. The drinks are great, and the prices are right. The live music is typically pretty good, too. I have to keep reminding myself to go here more often.

I dropped by here for a live show and I enjoyed it. I’d heard it was a biker bar but the hipsters and scenemakers are at least running neck and neck with the bikers, who seemed like a pretty tame lot. The balcony is cool but doesn’t provide much of a sight line to the stage from most of it. Nor can you see the band very well from one of the downstairs rooms, so bottom line is there’s a limited amount of areas you can hang out in if you want to watch the music show. Also, the place can get crowded especially on the weekends, and VERY loud when the bands crank up — I think this is due to the shape of the rooms being kinda narrow. Sound isn’t as good as you get at Canal Street. Nevertheless, still had a good ol’ time.
