As a veteran I come here every so often. What services I have used have been good. The department I go to had been helpful the staff explains the treatment vey well. The hospital puts flags out on holidays at both entrances. As well as all 50 state flags In front of the hospital. The center is a multi use place. The historic value of this place is very good. The on site history of this place is cool. This place has the only church ever built by federal money(way back in the day) the grotto is very nice(lake side park) in warmer months the park is bustling with flowers and a large fountain in the lake. Several waterfalls are in the park and were constructed by civil war veterans. This is now of course maintained by volunteers and grounds keepers. With so much history on site you could easily forget that a national cemetery is connected to it. This is one of the first national center for veterans. On site is also Miami valley housing and day care. This seems odd as non vets live on site. Beware the speed limit. O this is federal property so remember that if you bring booze to the lake.
