I wish I could give a zero! Just went there and ordered two appetizers — ahi tuna and calamari — and two meals. The waiter was nice. Little slow on water refills but that was no crisis. I couldn’t eat the ahi tuna which is a first. My wife did tolerate it tho. The calamari was breaded a little thick but tasted average. Man courses came and my wife’s was delivered. Her meal looked odd because they delivered the wrong one. They took it back. I started to eat my filet log on which I requested very rare. It came medium. So I ate my potatoes and asparagus. When her meal came, I told them my steak was medium at best. So they ordered a new one. My wife finished her salad and went from the table. After several updates it would be coming I told them to keep it. I had to leave from the annoyance that it shouldn’t take over 20 minutes to cook a very rare steak! They didn’t charge us for the meal but it was absurd the lack of professionalism and skill in the front and back of the restaurant.

Fantastic food, great service! A tad overpriced, but worth the consistency. The Key Lime is to die for!

Walked from our condo for a late lunch. Had our choice of tables on the patio over the beach. Lovely setting watching the waves. Great friendly service from Amy and delicious lunch choices — fried green tomatoes were perfectly done, side salad dressing was light and very tasty. My friend had the club wrap with sweet potato fries and her plate was beautifully presented and ingredients very fresh, meats high quality. Prices very reasonable for lunch. Check it out!

The wait staff was so nice, Our waitress in particular. However the food was a different story. Short ribs were too salty, the grilled cheese was way too gooey. The calamari was uneatable chewy and dry. Maybe dinner or Breakfast would be different however lunch was not good at all.

No thanks. I only ate here since I was staying in the hotel and got in and didn’t want to go back out. Regretted that decision. So, outdoor dining on the beach sounds great, but that’s not what this is. This is outdoor dining behind the swimming pool or behind the beach bar. You can’t really even see the beach and they allow smoking at the pool so the chain smokers sitting by the pool provided a steady flow of smoke into the dining area. So, the food. I got the special, which was a panko grouper with«coconut rice». This was a reasonable piece of fish that had been fried to death. The rice may have had coconut in it but I couldn’t taste it. The fish was fine but was about on the level of any place you might go and get grouper. The service was poor but I think the waiter was a beginner. So, why the one star? Well, I had the special(37 $) a small salad(12 $), and an iced tea. That was 65 dollars with tip. All the entrees are in the 30 – 40 range. I don’t mind paying for good food but this food was meh. I got something similar up the beach the next night for 12 dollars and it was better. So, if you are on an expense account, and you don’t mind dropping a lot of cash for some mediocre food… They have valet parking, not sure the price. They did park motorcycles for free. I would call this a tourist trap hotel restaurant.

Located in the nicest hotel in Daytona/Daytona Shores, The Shores Resort, Azure aspires to be the high end dining option for this area. The atmosphere is elegantly appointed, overlooking the pool deck and ocean, and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are two menu pages of breakfast options, including eggs Benedict(which is excellent), and omelettes. On the weekends they have s very basic breakfast buffet also available. Lunch options include a crazy good burger, and an insane three-cheese grilled cheese. The dinner menu is not expansive but has six to ten savory entrees in addition to a handful of very good appetizers. The lobster bisque is a little thin but is really good. I am not a fan of the black truffle mac n cheese which tasted like ass; I wasn’t the only with that opinion. Taste and overall food quality, everything is at least good and some are great! As you would expect with a higher end restaurant, it is a little pricey with entrees $ 25-$ 45, but that is what you expect from a higher end restaurant. Service can be spotty, but there is new management and we have seen a marked improvement in it. Overall, an nice date night option that will impress you at least a little and maybe a lot.

What a beautiful place to have a meal! Be sure to eat outside. I had two meals with the family at this restaurant. Portions for kids are very large and both kids loved it. Grilled cheese is one of the best anywhere. Servers very friendly. I recommend.

I decided to go here with my boyfriend & a couple of friends for my birthday last night and I had to say it an honest disaster. The restaurant cancelled our reservation because we were 10 minutes late because THEIR valet did not have any more parking spaces & the restaurant did not inform us of the cancellation. For the price you expected at least an intimate dinner yet you were surrounded by rowdy drunk people at the bar and patio outdoors. My friend ordered a scallop appetizer which was paired with bitter arugula and grapefruit and it was brought out 20 minutes before the rest of our appetizers so it made it very awkward setting for all of us. The flatbread was delicious. But that was quickly diminished when we had to wait 2 hours for entrees so our waitress gave us stale chips and salsa to hold us over. We were left without beverages for 45 minutes and when we did get our food the seafood étouffée was soggy and the bottom of my friends steak was soggy from the gravy, green beans were limp. The salmon was drenched in salt. Nothing special for my birthday but an offer of a free dessert which I still got charged for anyway and a dry«Happy Birthday». Waitress forgot our to go boxes, overall terrible birthday for the money we spent. If you’re planning on having a good night, don’t go here.

This restaurant offered the WORST dining experience I have ever had in my whole entire life. The service was embarrassingly terrible. The food was not good. Waited practically two hours for my food. If you want to have a good dining experience in Daytona beach this isn’t the place to go. Please go anywhere else but here.

If I could rate it less than 1 star, believe me, I would. Most of the food was salted to the point of being inedible. Forget about room service, unless you like getting only part of your meals. The only redeeming quality was breakfast, but then again, how difficult is it to cook an egg? Overpriced, terrible food, and staff that always forgets something. Avoid this place.

Terrible«in room» service and their lunch & dinner is absolutely horrible. All the food tastes like a salt block with no flavor and they always forget half of your food. When they bring the remaining food it’s cold and not edible. The manager doesn’t return your calls and hides from you. I will never eat food here again nor do I recommend it to anyone else.

I am warning you to not waste your time or money here. The food is average at best but absurdly expensive. The last time I ate there I had an issue with my food and the hotel manager was very rude in dealing with the issue.

The Cesar salads were tasteless and the steaks were gray, they were small and cold. The service was terrible. We asked to speak to the manager, she said«we could have anything else we wanted»,(it took an hour to get two salads and two steaks on our table, and we didn’t want to wait another hour for more food). My husband ordered the mac and cheese, which he said was just ok, I didn’t want to eat anything after that. They did bring over a piece of cheesecake, for our anniversary, and that was bad too. We were so upset we walked outside on the patio, we started talking to another couple that said their service was awful too. we came back in and went to the bar, I asked if I could have a hamburger and have it compensated since I didn’t eat at the restaurant, the bartender said he’s have to ask the manager, I said«forget it, just order me the burger and I’ll pay for it». In between trying to order drinks and a hamburger, we noticed both bartenders eating behind the bar and not washing their hands and then they were touching glasses and tops of beer bottles. When my husband asked them to wash their hands, they both mocked him and laughed at his face. They asked if we wanted to see the manager, we know how that goes,(not helpful at all), the manager came over and said, «I am taking care of your dinner bill, but you are paying for your drinks», I looked at her, and she said, «well, what else do you want». I said«nothing». We went to talk to the hostess, and one of the bartenders came out and started yelling at us. We have family in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach that we visit frequently, we have told everyone in FL, Charlotte, NC and Akron, OH of our issues with the restaurant.

I would like to give some advice to anyone traveling to Daytona. Do not stay at The Shores Resort or eat at the restaurant there. The food is overpriced and tastes horrible. I’ve had many friends work there and quit due to poor management. They have the rudest employees that I have ever met. There are many other places, nice places to stay at and much better food in Daytona. It use to be a place that I would recommend for all of my friends to stay at and now I’m embarrassed that I sent them to such a horrible place! Not to mention, I saw ants everywhere!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the shores for our anniversary trip and decided to have a nice dinner here. we came on a Monday night around 8 and the restaurant was completely empty, there were a few people eating outside but it was very windy so we decided to eat inside by the window. Our server was very nice and attentive and was knowledgable with the menu, I believe his name was Chris. I ordered the filet mignon and she ordered the ribeye, we were both impressed with the food as it was all great. The place was pricey as each meal cost $ 35 plus we had a $ 35 bottle of wine but everything was great and we would probably return again.

This was one of the first places we ate once we checked in. After we dropped off our bags, we headed back downstairs to this restaurant. Our server was nice and bubbly. She asked if we wanted to eat outside or inside. We stayed inside this time and had an awesome view. We ordered calamari for an appetizer. They were crisp and had a different taste from the usual calamari out there. It seemed as though it had a citrus-y twist to it. I had the Ribeye entrée and hubs had the Grouper entrée. My ribeye was cooked perfectly but I felt that the seasonings were lacking. I felt like was was eating moist, juicy flavorless meat. I had to ask for steak sauce just to get some kind of flavor going. My asparagus were grilled perfectly and my mashed potatoes were very try and they crumbled as I tried to place on a fork and then a spoon. I had to mix the potatoes with the pink peppercorn sauce on the bottom of my plate to hold everything together. Hubs black truffle mac and cheese was delicious. It looked heavy, but it was very light and cheesy. His grouper was delicious. We ordered dessert and I had the crème brûlée and he had the rum cake. The crème brûlée was nice and creamy and tasty. The rum cake… wow! That is a winner indeed. Packed with flavor and the fruits and crème fraîche really take it to the next level and beyond. Please try the rum cake people. The next morning we decided to give breakfast a try. Breakfast was awesome. We ate outside and was sitting right there on the deck looking right out into the ocean. We started off with mimosas. Very delicious. I felt like it was way more Champagne than orange juice but what the hey? I had the Crab Cake Benedict, grits bacon and a vanilla latte. Hubs had the same thing minus the bacon. The hollandaise was perfectly made and the crab cake wasn’t dry. The boar’s head bacon is yummy and those grits were very creamy. I can’t wait to come back and have breakfast and desserts again. I would like to try their happy hour. These people have breakfast and desserts down packed. Who knows, maybe I will give dinner another chance another day.

Excellent food and amazing sides. Great bread! Felt like a really nice restaurant. We sat outside and had a nice ocean view and breeze. Nice cute friendly waiter. Not tooooo pricey, most expensive entrees 35 – 40. Would definitely eat here again. The inside area didn’t look quite as nice. Kinda boring? But we didn’t eat in there.

This restaurant is not worth the price. The portions are tiny and the food is not good enough for the check you’ll be getting at the end. We ordered the scallops and crab cake appetizers. They were both infant size about 2 bites each and nothing to rave about. The crab cake tasted like it was cooked in soy sauce which is not the taste I’d prefer with my crab cake. The scallops were a little better except the sauce it came with tasted only like grease. We also had the grouper entrée, lobster tail, and 3 jumbo shrimp cocktail. The grouper was okay except not much flavor, the lobster tail was literally a bite and a half, and the shrimp cocktail was good except how can you go wrong with shrimp cocktail? The check was $ 112 and we were still hungry afterwards. Definitely NOT worth the money. Definitely skip this place and try somewhere else you’re not missing a thing.

This is a great place to dine even if you’re not staying at the hotel for the mere fact that there is access to a tiki bar and the beach. Honestly, I’m not sure what would stop you from using the pool while you’re at it. At the tiki bar, I ordered a kids cheeseburger since I wasn’t that hungry and laid out on a chair. Later, I ordered the 14 dollar fondue and had no idea it had lobster in it until the name ‘lobster fondue’ appeared on the check. If there is lobster I was clueless. I didn’t finish it but good grief this app was straight cream and cheese heart attack. When I was done I really considered going to my room and taking a long nap. It was that type of dish. Instead, my guilt sunk in and I hit the gym hard. The best advice for the lobster fondue is share it with four people if they really love cheese. It wasn’t much of a fondue at all and more of a dip mixed with peppers. There was chips and bread pitas to dip with. Very friendly servers and the bar was fun to sit with.

Excellent service, above average food. Entrees are the best here. Steaks are great, shrimp and grits is my favorite. Waitstaff is very attentive. A bit on the expensive side… but you can’t beat ocean side dining; this place would be a winner even if the food were average. A bonus: Guinness on tap!
