Americas Best Value Inn

Charged me a $ 100 cash deposit then upon check out the owner who checked me in said I had not given any deposit and cited the form SHE filled out… Accountability at its finest. I was taken advantage of, BEWARE.

I recently purchased a hotel/​travel voucher for a friend and her husband. They were traveling to Florida and used the voucher to book a hotel through a popular Crowd purchasing website. They sent me pictures of holes in the walls, duck tape holding up a bathroom mirror, a burned out lampshade, ripped furniture. These I saw with my own eyes. They changed rooms and they were pretty much the same. My friends said that it smelled bad and the bathroom was not clean. This is similar to what was stated by another negative review. I am so very sorry that what was intended as a gift of R&R turned into a nightmare. They were also overcharged. My voucher was supposed to cover the hotel. They were supposed to pay taxes etc. They ended up paying $ 102.00 which was the price of the room, if you could call it that. Is this really Americas’ Best Value? Well if it is we aren’t worth much.

Staff was friendly at check-​in and check-​out.
The room was surprisingly nice, for the price, and smelled nice when we arrived.
It was close to the beach and many nice restaurants. I’m glad it had a mini-​fridge and microwave! Had everything we needed for our one night stay in Daytona Beach. It was a perfectly pleasant stay! Highly recommend staying here :)
