We came here on a Sunday afternoon before going home in hopes of taking a free chocolate factory tour that we saw on brochures and billboards. It’s in a nice little strip on South Beach street and faces the bridge to Daytona Beach. However there was a paper taped to the door that said«Sorry no tours today». Well that blows. Now that we were already here we decided to go inside. They have a lot of options of chocolate treats to buy. I saw chocolate covered bacon and chocolate covered potato chips. Interesting. The staff was very friendly and offered us samples. It’s kind of expensive, we got a small $ 8.00 bag of nonpareils. Chocolate is very good and rich though. I guess if you’re planning on taking a factory tour you should call first before driving there.

Amazing chocolates! You must get the chocolate covered bacon and potato chips! At first I was grossed out at the thought of chocolate covered bacon, but it’s actually very delicious. Salty sweet at its best!

We took a day trip to Daytona Beach and decided to walk down Beach Street. I had read about the chocolate shop through the AAA website. Beach Street is composed of small shops and eateries. Angella and Phelps was in the midst of the shops. Upon entering you are surrounded by the aroma of chocolate. Heavenly! They had every imaginable type of chocolates and candy. The shop is charming and there is so much to take in. Your senses are on overload. They have chocolate covered potato chips, pretzels, strawberries, cherries, Twinkies and bacon. Plus they have all the regular kinds of candies such as Non Parells, Fruit Slices, Gummy Candies etc. Prices are about what you would expect to pay for fine chocolates. They offer a free guided tour of the chocolate factory. The tours are given about every hour starting at 10.00 am. We had a wonderful tour guide Nick, who was informative and humorous. He did an excellent job. At the end of the tour you received 2 pieces of chocolates which you could pick from a variety of chocolates. It was delicious. I choose the milk chocolate caramel and the dark chocolate potato chip. We also purchased a strip of Chocolate Covered Bacon. If you have never tried this you must. One strip is enough to share. I highly recommend that you stop and visit the next time you are on Daytona Beach. You will not be disappointed.

TAKETHEFREECHOCOLATETOUR. It’s only about 20 mins long, and it was literally down the hallway from the main shop. It was interesting and informative. The employee guiding the tour was knowledgeable and friendly. Best of all, you get free samples at the end. This place was choc galore. There were pretzels covered in choc, to gummies doused in choc, and even down right to bacon. Yes, bacon. There were also cute little wrapped items for gift giving. Some came in baskets and some in tin canisters. You can even create your own boxes of chocolate by hand picking your favs.

With this place having such good reviews, I had my hopes a bit too high. We decided we didn’t want to do the tour and just wanted to buy some chocolate. There were five employees standing behind the counter who just kind of looked up at us when we came in but didn’t say anything. They watched us as we looked around and that made me feel super weird, like I was doing something wrong. The chocolate turned out to be overpriced and unremarkable. Meh.

While visiting Daytona over the holidays I stumbled across amazing reviews for this chocolate factory. We enjoyed a free informative 20 minute tour and ended with free chocolate samples and goodies in the gift shop. This is a chocolate lovers paradise. Make sure to try the chocolate covered potato chips. Also a fan fav is the chocolate covered bacon.

Very neat, old-time, small-town chocolate factory. Take the tour and get a sample or two. Faye was our tour guide, and she was very fun. Glad I decided to visit with the family.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. My chocolate loving Grandma loves Angell and Phelps chocolate. So I ordered a box of chocolates for her and some Buckeyes. Also, chocolate covered gummy bears. My advice: Don’t order the chocolate covered gummy bears. Curiosity killed the cat. Buckeyes from Florida you say? Grandma being from Ohio approved of them. They were really good. The box of chocolates are still being worked on, but the couple of chocolates that I had have been good.

The 20 min tour was interesting and informative. We go through a few separate windows and watch the worker bees do their factory thing. The tour guide also made them awkwardly sing happy birthday to one of our members. The samples were actually more than enough to satiate my chocolate appetite. I walked out munching on one chocolate covered bacon and $ 6 chocolate covered espresso beans. The bacon was amazing. The espresso beans are ok. They don’t taste that much different from chocolate covered espresso beans I’ve had at other places. The prices on the chocolate covered potato chip was kind of high. Actually most of the prices seemed kind of high to me. Pros Decent tour. Free samples. Clean store. Cons Kind of pricey. Would I come here again? Maybe despite the good rating. My waist line doesn’t want it. The free tour was worth it for the samples.

Pricey but the chocolate covered potato chips were good both in milk and dark chocolate. The bacon i think tasted better with milk chocolate.

Nice place, but small and crowded. Most of the chocolate goodies are made well. The free tour is ok, but the guides should be better informed. Tour lines are long in a very crowded space. Waiting for the free treat is not worth it. Recommend if you have time to waste and plenty of cash. They are not reasonable in prices at all!

This is the best chocolate factory in town. We’ve been coming here for years and you can’t beat their great products. Be sure to take the chocolate factory tour and get a free sample during the day. This area is also loaded with good quaint little antique shops and coffee shops. We come every time we’re in town.

We saw this place online and adding another spot to visit during our small vacation. What a great atmosphere. First the display windows show the patient process of chocolate making. Then there was the kind, patient & knowledgeable staff telling us the process and rich history of this chocolate factory. Aside from the free informative tour, which was short and sweet like 20 mins or so, we got free samples! There was a chocolate mentioned on the tour and I had to try it which was the chocolate covered bacon I purchased, i recommend for those who want to try, it was delicious. If you have a sweet tooth and want to try something new check this place out.

While visiting Daytona Beach with the family earlier this year we saw an advertisement for a tour of a chocolate factory. Wow . This is a little storefront with some of the most delicious and unique chocolates available made on premises. They offer a 15 to 20 minute tour and several viewing Windows to watch the process. The tour was light and informative and kids really enjoyed it and the employee. Best part, at the end you get to sample some chocolates !! The store had several items like choco covered bacon … Pretzels… Popcorn and more. They offer some unique Fl originals like Alligators also made of chocolate. White, dark, and milk were all present. It was a nice little stop and break while in area. Would revisit if for nothing more than filling a sweet tooth with truly fresh made items !!

The restaurant has since closed but the chocolate is still flowing. I come here when I want to buy specialty items for gifts. I am not a milk chocolate person but enjoy DARK chocolate. They have some but since it is not desired by many I understand. They have some very unique items that you will not find anywhere else. Take a walk around when you are in the area.

Stopping by Angell and Phelps was a fabulous decision! We went in and found that they offer a tour of their facility which was really nice. I believe tours are given on the hour if you’re interested. During the tour you have the opportunity to learn the history of the company as well as see and learn about how their chocolate candy is made. They make all of the chocolate that they sell here. At the end of the tour, they offer free samples of some of the candy that they make. The chocolate is REALLY good, so even if you aren’t able to do the tour, I still suggest you stop in for some candy because again, it is SOOOO good lol. They offer the typical chocolate candy that we are all used too, but they also offer some different things that you may not find too many other places. Things like, chocolate covered bacon(which was not my favorite), chocolate covered potato chips, and honeybees(similar to a turtle) which come with peanuts, cashews or pecans. The cashew honeybee was my favorite! Everyone who worked there were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products that sell. I plan to go back whenever I’m in the area. The overall experience was extremely tasty and pleasant :)
