Cafe 101

This is 5star food but buffet prices. The culinary students are the cooks. Their teachers are overseeing everything. The food is incredible and you definitely need a reservation. I have never had a bad meal here. Some culinary classes are better than others but the selection is so vast you can never go wrong.

I’d been trying to come here for months now but they’re always booked solid. Reservations should be made a semester in advanced if you want a chance to eat here. As crazy as that sounds, once you’ve secured a space you’ll see how well worth the wait it is. The service from the students is impeccable and it takes you a minute to recall that you’re actually having a meal prepared by culinary students and your not at a professional restaurant. A fact you immediately forget when you taste the tantalizing cuisine that comes out of the kitchen. With an ever changing menu, each visit to Café 101 is uniquely it’s own, but never disappoints. On this particular visit I sampled the pork tenderloin with Apple chutney and meatloaf nesting on top of goat cheese mashed potatoes. Each bite was better than the one before and were it not for the elegant setting I probably would’ve licked the plate. This entrée followed a delicious caprice salad with fresh mozzarella and an in house minestrone that left me wanting more. For dessert I had white chocolate pumpkins cheesecake that was reminiscent of fall with ever scrumptious bite and a tart who’s name escapes me but fulfilling rich flavor never will. I left feeling completely full. Definitely worth a try for foodies and anyone who doesn’t believe they can have expensive cuisine at college budget friendly prices.

Excellent dining choice! Who would’ve thought such a fine experience could be had for such a wonderful price! The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. We enjoyed a four course dinner with a South-​West theme for only $ 15. Our drink was included. You must have a reservation in order to dine here. They have specific seating times which you will find online. Also, the menu changes daily and can be found online.
