Great service and food! Only been here once but I loved it

Terrible! Save your money! Celebrated my mothers 93 birthday and was completely disappointed! Not one thing we ordered was good. Scallops rubbery and tasteless, dry mashed potatoes, pot roast was cafeteria quality and appetizers lacked flavor as well. Also since when do people frequent a high end restaurant in tshirts and flip flops? Not the class act I remember Chart House being back in the 90’s. For the price point you pay I would expect this restaurant to be five stars. Anyone who give this restaurant five stars doesn’t know any better.

GREAT Food and service, only issue I had was the bar has a limited selection of scotch which at this high end restaurant was a surprise. WE had great service at the table.

We always come here while in town for the Rolex Race. it’s consitently high quality. We arrive early and enjoy happy hour with views of the marina, then head upstairs to a reserved, water view table for a superb meal. We had crunchy coconut shrimp, scallops, crab stack, and salmon. All the plates were presented with their own unique culinary flare. Delicious!

Chose the Chart House based on its reputation. This location is a little dated downstairs. Great for not having a reservation, however. Great drink sizes, salad was a day older than it should have been and the rolls were overdone. I ordered the Short Rib dinner, the asparagus wasn’t worth eating, but the fork tender short rib was a big portion and was excellent. The gray avocado in the seafood stack was unpleasant. The seafood in the Crab and avocado stack was good. Please fire your vegetable vendor.

As local to the area, we’ve been at this restaurant quite a few times. This visit the food was good and so was the service by Heath. However, the fish was overcooked and they were out of some desserts. But overall I give it three stars.

Was an Aloha club member before Laundry group. My advise lose your hotess. More attitude than courtesy. Already the meal is ruined. Finally got seated. All is well. Nice location and classic Chart House class.

We went for Christmas dinner. My husband got snapper which he enjoyed hot, while they took my severely undercooked medium steak back to the kitchen to remake. By the time my steak was brought back, my husband was close to done with his meal. My second round potatoes were cold, as were the mushrooms and the steak was dry and inedible. I gave two stars because the server offered to take the steak off the bill even though I didn’t bother to complain. He noticed it went uneaten and just took it off. Classy waiter. The Caesar salad was delicious. The lobster crab topping on my steak was terrible, very mushy and salty. don’t waste the $ 9 to add it. Overall, the waitstaff was great, but the kitchen needs to be more conscious of the quality of food they are serving. The prices can’t be justified.

We dined on Thanksgiving evening. It was absolutely horrible in every way. I wrote them the next day and I have still heard no response. Save your money. Its overpriced and they are serving frozen seafood.

The food there in one word«perfection» from the appetizers to the salad to the main course and last but not least. You will not be disappointed in the food or ambiance of the restaurant. Worth every penny…

My wife and I celebrated our combined birthdays and anniversary with a visit to the Chart House. It is a decision that we will never make again. Back maybe 5 or 10 years ago Chart House was known for fine dining, always on the water, and always above par. This visit was disappointing. The wait staff was attentive with his little crumb brush and taking our order but never offered refills on our drinks. The salad bar was a mess with items spilled over other items. The caviar was the lowest grade available and should be banned from consumption. I was able to cut away a substantial portion of gristle from my steak. At $ 38 I expect my steak to be perfectly cooked, with no fat or gristle. Very bad form. My wife’s snapper was«just okay» according to her. Definitely not worth the $ 32 price tag. It’s always nice to hear that my homemade snapper dishes are much, much, better. Another issue is the lack of proper attire. When did Chart House become a t-shirt and shorts kind of place? I wore a nice business suit and my wife purchased a new outfit. Imagine our dismay when we noticed this change. Sorry, Chart House but if we wanted a Texas-style steak joint we would have gone somewhere else. Somewhere less expensive and much better food. Just drive on by and save your money.

Love this upscale waterfront restaurant! Went with friends for my birthday based on many recommendations. We were seated next to a window(windows all around) and impressed with the amazing views of the waterfront and yacht. The menu was quite extensive with a great salad bar. I had the Lobster Bisque soup, delicious short ribs, fork tender with Cabernet demi-glaze, with Yukon gold mashed potatoes and salad bar. My friends and I shared the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Everyone raved over their dinner and I hope to get the opportunity to dine there again.

Sat outside the weather was perfect full moon Megan was our server she was great told us about the chocolate lava cake which we ordered. salad bar was fabulous Megan also made a Caesar salad for my son at the salad bar. Roger the manager was very congenial, Meagan told us about a great«spring» blue river state park which we went to the next day. My girlfriend is a nurse and a lot of the people from Halifax eat at the chart house for their meetings and it’s always good too…

The Chart House has always been a place to go for a special event. If you arrive by boat the dock hands are very helpful with tying up. If coming by car the parking area is very angled and may challenge some with mobility issues(drop them off at the door). One special thing they will do that I did not see in a review is to print a personalized menu up for your event. I scheduled a birthday dinner for one of my children here and they printed her name and Happy Birthday on the top of all of our menus. Very cool! The atmosphere is great and feels like a yacht club. The out door seating is also very nice but you will have to walk up the stairs to get to the salad bar. Speaking of the Salad Bar this I think is my favorite thing. At $ 16.99 on its own or $ 8.50 with an entrée, you have to have it. The rest of the items on the menu have all been very good. The prices are that of a yacht club as well but if it is a special occasion it is worth it. Since it is in florida and on the water you will not feel out of place if you showed up in shorts and deck shoes or a suit.

Started with a pomegranate martini which was poured well and very smooth and a shrimp and crab meat, avocado and mango stack which was tender, full of flavor and the ingredients complimented each other very well. Hubby had a Bloody Mary which he said was a well crafted and balanced BM and wasn’t overly thick and he has the crab bisque which was full of flavor and creamy. Dinner entrees which followed were King Salmon Pesto which had wonderful flavors and a side of fresh asparagus and I had the Dynamite Grouper which just melted and each bite till the end was nice and hot! Our server Matthew was spot on, great with the food menu and not overly intrusive! Good meal all around!!!

I had the Baja Mahi special and it was delicious. The appetizers, meal, and dessert were all fantastic. My boyfriend enjoyed the Long Island Ice Teas and said it was one of the best drinks he’s ever had. The shrimp Brie and artichoke dip is fantastic. My boyfriend ordered the encrusted red snapper and raved about that. I never would have guessed that this place was a chain. Bring your checkbook though as it is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem to celebrate or have a romantic evening, Chart house is your special place. This review is based on several visits here and the standard of service, hospitality, fresh foods, savory dishes and variety has always delivered. I have yet to have a negative experience here, both with or without reservations. Dinner here is spectacular, of course I find it practically a sin to order steak where seafood seems to be the specialty or let’s face it, the point of the meal. It’s like visiting the Oprah show and settling for an autograph with Stedman. Pretty lame and not the point. That being said… I ordered a steak which was delicately rubbed and grilled to perfection(Medium). Off with the soup the lobster bisque is worth risking my shellfish-prone allergies to.(Non life threatening this far) But hey if I’ll go down, it’ll be eating a lobster like a trooper. I sacrifice myself every time for the thick, creamy sauce with chunks of delicate sweet lobster meat tossed in with a nice little kick that makes your tummy feel warm. Next, please don’t pass up the lobster/crab cheese dip. Yes please and thank you. You’re given them in a baked, hot ramiken with home made crustini bread that has been toasted and butter with an emulsified garlic which are crispy enough to dip and handle but crunchy enough to make the first contact with your lips and then follow orders to melt in your mouth. These are decadent and enough to go around as a nibble between 2 – 4 guests. But be warned you probably won’t want to share. The scallops, the pasta, the grouper… oh, my!(Lions and tigers and bears) it’s equally frightening because everything sounds so delicious. So let me put you at ease, there’s really no going wrong in this category. Get something you feel safe with, if you’re nauticaly-apprehensive. Otherwise, treat yo self! Pick something and sit back to know your fate awaits you on a hot plate in your near future. Save room for their Godiva Chocolate cake. I’m personally not a fan of sweets(I rather save those precious calories for alcohol) but I can’t forfeit a little somethin’ somethin’ here. It’s so creamy, moist and not overly sweet with still managing to make you feel like you didn’t deserve what just hit your lips. Boom! Magic. So last but not least… my favorite part is sitting at a table next to the window enjoy the view of the extravagant yachts in the short distance, but more so watching the ultimate show of the day: the sunset. The interior is a little«cruise director-ish» but surrounded by Windows, an elegant chandelier that makes the interior glow and you feel an intimate vibe here. Cocktails are a must. I cannot tell you how much of a disappointment it is to find a great restaurant with a stingy bar. Or one whom serves and offers such mediocre sub par cocktails. This one however, always delivers. Although I’m a female, I don’t gravitate towards«girly» drinks. I take my scotch neat, my martinis dirty and with Gin and my Mules Moscowed. All in all, I’ve always had the royal treatment here, I’ve celebrated my parents anniversarys here where with a call-aheads up they’ve printed my parents names and anniversary year on the menu and have had it placed at the table with the best view all without me having to harass them. Come to the Chart house only in a moment when you can indulge yourself, let the time stand still and most of all folks: do yourself the favor of being present in the moment. Put the phone away, enjoy the ambience, your date, your friends etc and have a good meal cause you deserve it.

I’m going to keep this very short because in summary Chart House is expensive, meant to impress and luxuriate. It’s as if you’re the cat in those fancy feast commercials and you are eating the finest foods. It’s the money you spend that leads you to believe it is the best tuna EVER. Really though? It’s pretty good on select menu items, but NOT every item. The cocktails? Go broke or go home. I paid my $ 10 bucks for tasty liquor and didn’t regret it. It was better than dessert, in fact come to think of it my drink did actually kind of taste like a dessert. Appetizers? I did the best of soup. 3 soups and 2 were heavy on cream, the other was a chilled gazpacho. It was a good sampler but that’s about it… just good to sample. Entrée? Best of shrimp. The fried coconut shrimp lacked a coconut taste and seemed more fried shrimp than anything. The dipping sauce was a nice addition to taste though. The entrée was a 3.5 and honestly, forgettable. I can’t remember much more about it by the time it came time for my review. What does stick in mind was the atmosphere. Staff from the wait staff to the bartender were pros. The view while sitting with my friend was beautiful.

Came here for drinks and dinner to celebrate a good friends birthday. We had reservations for 7:30PM and everyone arrived on time we had requested a table for eight near a window overlooking the harbor. The table we wanted wasn’t available so we decided to wait and walked downstairs to the bar. We grabbed a couple of high top tables and a cocktail. I ordered my usual Ketel One Martini a little dirty up with a trio of olives and wasn’t disappointed. After about 30 minutes of enjoying our cocktails and walking out on the deck overlooking the water we were summoned our table was ready. We were seated exactly where we had requested and then greeted by our server(she did an excellent job) for a second round of drinks and a few bottle of choice wines we started with a nice Pinot Noir and had a few bottles of Cabernet opened for our dinner, lucky one of our friends is our wine guy at any outing and his selection as always was spot on. We all ordered salads or appetizers I choice to build my own at the salad bar and it was a great choice since the selection is fresh and there are lots of options. After a toast of champagne to honor our friend we placed our dinner orders there are lots of great choices but the Alaskan Halibut was calling out to me, now for the reason for the three star review which is very disappointing since the evening was definitely building up to an easy five star review evening. No only was my Alaskan Halibut($ 37.00) extremely small(see picture attached) it was destroyed on the grill it was so dried out it was disgusting well if you have been paying attention we had already been here quite awhile and I wasn’t going to spoil the evening by sending my entrée back being the wait for our dinners took quite awhile as it was. Everyone else seemed to be pleased and I was fortunate that I was offered to share a piece of the Blackened Red Snapper served at the table. That confirmed that I ordered badly. I will return and I will formally and tactfully complaint about this experience and I certainly will order safe :-)
