We decided to check this place our due to the good reviews but was a bit disappointed. I got two things that were recommended. …the corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy. The hash was sweet tasting… I’m not sure why I could not eat it. Just turned me off. I had my friend taste it and she said the same thing. On to the biscuits. …on a good note the gravy was gooood. The biscuits were a bit on the dry side… nothing like cracker barrel. .at all. I wished the gravy was a little warmer too. My Friend had fried potatoes. …so good! I wish I could give more stars but you guys got to do something with the hash recipe. Oh… service was great.

Good hearty wings. Friendly locals at the bar. Half price beers for certain brands at happy hours.

Chain restaurants such as Joe’s Crab Shack seem to dominate the Daytona Beach pier area so it was great to find this little independent gastropub not too far from the beach. The food was pretty solid and well priced, and service was friendly. It was happy hour when we arrived for an early dinner and enjoyed 2-for-1 domestic draft beers which was terrific. We ordered the hand-forged Swedish meatballs which were just exceptional — juicy, hearty, and came with perfectly chewy/crunchy baguette slices and a tasty sauce. I wasn’t as excited about the wings we had. The menu says they are grilled but when they arrived they were kind of touch and not too juicy as if they had been fried and then thrown on the grill to have grill marks. Maybe I’m wrong about the preparation but I’ve had lots of grilled wings before and these were a lot more like fried. I would return if I’m in the Daytona Beach area again or recommend it to people who want more of a local experience.

Great burgers, great service, cool atmosphere! I gave it 3 stars for 2 reasons: 1) they only serve wine & beer(though they do have wine based«liquors» 2) The music coming from the jukebox was being played WAY too loudly! Other than that, it is a cute, clean, friendly place!

Very disappointed in their breakfast today. The menu stated the chicken fried steak was a ribeye. It wasn’t, it was the usual ground meat you always get. My wife got ham and eggs and all she got for ham was a deli sized slice of ham slightly browned. It was so thin you would have needed 6 or 8 just to make a sandwich. Definitely will not go back.

We enjoyed drinks and dinner here twice. While they were definitely understaffed both times, the food and service didn’t really suffer. A fun place to hang out at the bar and grab a casual bite to eat. We met some interesting people and enjoyed the atmosphere.

It was day time, so there were stragglers in and out, but the food was hot and portions were large — I had hot wings and Mr. V has a burger followed up by an Italian sausage side. I had a nice hoppy beer And Mr. V has his iced tea with no lemon. But I really liked something about this place — the old wood, the large bar size, all the windows that faced Main Street. I liked our bartender — she was lively, entertaining, and engaged us in conversation about whatever was on TV –being that it was a Tuesday afternoon, and we were covered in salt, sand, and seaweed. If I lived here, I’d probably go here more.

The service at this place was neglectful., to be gracious. It took us 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. The food was great, with the exception of a 45 minute wait time. We were surpassed by four other tables who came and went before we even got our food, including an 8 top. I sat at the end of the bar near the kitchen and overheard a discussion between our bartender and the cook about being out of biscuits and wasn’t informed until 20 minutes later, 40 minutes after I has ordered initially. No one checked on us during this interval. The manager only came out after I had paid and left, inquiring to my husband if i and everything was ok. After explaining about our awful service, the bartender returned and asked if there was anything else she could do so we didn’t have«s****y» service. What a shame. Such a nice looking little spot.

Pleasantly surprised to find that the food here is awesome! While this area is known for its grungy biker bars and rambunctious teens on spring break, this place offered a comfy and trendy atmosphere that felt off the tourist path. We even used a double take and saved 50%!

This place is a dive but the breakfast food is good we ordered chicken fried steak & the shrimp Benedict, both were nice easy fair for a relaxed atmosphere. The Benedict is different, served on a home made biscuit. Water took a while to get and the food took a while to come out and the placso if you are looking for a leisurely meal this place is good. Also we sat outside which was a huge plus! The waitress was very accommodating to our inquiries.

Asked if it was cool to sit outside for breakfast and the lady said«ummm yes» in a really sarcastic tone, rolled her eyes and shook her head like we were complete idiots. The proceeded to talk about us to another staff member as we walked outside. We ended up walking away and eating at starbucks.

I’ve been here a couple of times, and I can say the food and service has been consistent. Food is good and made promptly, but the service, oh the service, it’s just great! Last time I was there I had gotten up late on a sunday, hoping to find brunch in the area, ended up at TLR and even though they had stopped serving breakfast, since they weren’t busy that day they told me I could order anything I wanted. Definitely a good hang out on Main street.

This place is clean, cozy and the food is great! The industrial décor is awesome, real classy and done well! The place is welcoming and not pretentious in the slightest. Waitress was quick, friendly and helpful. I got the farmers omelette.(Btw it’s lunch time and they are still serving breakfast. I like that.) It came out quick and it was eggcellant! Fluffy and beautiful. The ingredients tasted fresh. I am quite impressed. This place is absolutely a step up from the usual Daytona Beach eats! Nicely done Lucky Rooster, your definetely my new fav ;)

Some friends and I tried The Lucky Rooster this past weekend while in town for the Easter Beach Run. We wanted a place for beer and brunch and their insanely close location sold us. We were able to leave our cars where we parked them and walk across the street. They weren’t very crowded when we arrived, but we decided to sit outside. There was more space for our group and the weather was beautiful. When you are a couple blocks from the beach it would be silly NOT to sit outside. I had the Classic Breakfast Sandwich — Bacon, Egg, Tomato & Cheese w/Home Fries served on a Fresh Hoagie Roll which I enjoyed. It was a hearty sandwich and the home fries were nice and crispy. I also enjoyed a Woodchuck Cider(which was on draft and made me super happy) along with an insane amount of water. We all enjoyed our beer and brunch, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the service. Our waitress was great and super friendly, but I felt like everything took WAY longer than it should have. There were maybe two other tables of folks there while we were and it still took awhile to get our drinks and then our food. Granted we weren’t in any sort of a rush, but if we had been it definitely would have been an issue.

The service and staff at The Lucky Rooster makes out-of-towners feel like locals. Steps from Daytona Beach’s famous Main Street Pier, TLR boasts a diverse menu and beer selection. Even on a Saturday morning, the service was prompt and the foods was tasty. The prices are very reasonable and the variety of brunch, lunch, and dinner items covers a diverse palate. Though the dining room and bar are fun and cozy, the best DB experience is had at the picnic tables outside overlooking the surrounding shops and pier. My only beef was the Lazy Magnolia Banana Bread hasn’t been available for months, but the menu hasn’t been updated to reflect the change.
