Very small… Very tasty. Seating is at a minimum but as one blogger stated it is like a typical tiny Mexican Cantina you might find in the side streets of Cozumel or your other favorite places in Mexico.

We really enjoyed this place. Chips and queso were some of the best we have ever had. Chips were nice and thick and the queso with chorizo wasn’t greasy. We tried an assortment of tacos and liked them. The tamales were amazing. The salsa and sauces were on point. The cooladas were also awesome. We ordered chips and queso, 5 tacos, 2 tamales, and 2 cooladas and paid about $ 30. Hard to beat!

What a great tiny Mexican Cantina! The place makes you feel like you’re in a small town in Mexico! Everything is homemade. The chips and guacamole app are the best I’ve ever had! The 5 taco plate is my favorite. Beef tongue(Lengua), Chorizo, Chicharrones, AL Pastor, & Barbacoa! Can’t wait to come back!

I have always enjoyed this taco stand whenever I have gone. This past time we went on Friday night June 17th. There was a street party and the place was crowded. My husband and I waited an hour to get two tacos each. We almost left and asked for our money back. Finally my husband went inside and asked about our order. They admitted it was way in the back and they weren’t even filling tickets in order. My husband saw a friend from work and he and his wife did not get their food for almost an hour. My order was also incorrect as I had asked for certain type of meat in my tacos and I did not have it. At this point I was happy to did any kind of food and I was starving so I just ate it. As we were finishing our meal a couple next to us was upset because their order was incorrect as well. We are not sure if they were short-staffed because it was very busy that night. Otherwise the food was good.

This place serves up fantastic Mexican-style tacos. Loved the chicken taco and ceviche with house chips. We will be returning before heading home! Try the hot sauce, or medium if you are not as daring

Was once the best place in town for Mexican food, but the last couple of visits were really underwhelming.

The best Tamale I have ever had. and it was huge as well. Enchiladas and soft taco’s were all well seasoned and delicious. This was the best Mexican food we have had since we left El Paso. Highly recommend!

In the area for the day from Orlando and wanted Mexican food. Looked this up on Unilocal and gave it a try. Delicious food and excellent customer service! Had the chicken enchiladas, husband had the fish tacos, and daughter had the sopa with pork. Chips are homemade and are delicious as is the salsa. You have to purchase everything at the counter and then it becomes table service. A must try if you love Mexican food.

My best friend and I were on vacation and looking for some nearby food. I’m a very picky eater and we ended up here. The service was fast and the people were AMAZING. Each and every single one of them. They all exceeded my customer service expectations: it was amazing seeing how they treated each customer around me. We will definitely be recommending this place to traveling friends!!!

Craving mexican food without the need to go to mexico? Well this is the place to go! I moved to the daytona area because of college and searched everywhere for good mexican food. My favorite are the tacos and the queso dip, a must try! They also have great desserts like flan and churros!

Really good food! Tried most of the meats for the tacos and they were all good. Very authentic and fresh. Ask for the hottest sauce, it has the best flavor. It was so good that we came two days in a row.

Wow, what a great place. Nice little cozy Mexican restaurant. Great staff. The food was fantastic and the prices are great. I could sit here foot hours enjoying the scenery. Even the décor is really good. I enjoy the high top tables too.

Pros: –Food was decent –The restaurant was clean –Staff seemed fine Cons –False advertising in regards to their specials –Overpriced for what were small portions –No complementary chips or salsa –Service was relatively slow compared to most Mexican restaurants Mostly though I’m just upset that my wife and I spent $ 22 bucks and we were both still very hungry after eatin

Is there anywhere to get some cervezas and tacos here in Daytona Beach? Hells yes… Tia Cori’s! I’m from Southern California so it takes some work to impress me with Mexican food. Everything here is good! Chips and Queso — You have to order this for your table. A basket of chips and a creamy white cheese dip. It’s like nacho sauce that you heat up, but white in color with peppers inside and way better. All of us couldn’t keep our hands off of this. The fresh chips look thick but are light and crisp when you bite, so not a heavy chip, just the right balance. Chips and Guacamole — Guacamole here is freshly made and good. You can’t go wrong with this or the queso dip. They give you a good size bowl of guacamole. Carnitas Plate — If you are only getting one dish and don’t mind spending an extra few dollars$ you must get the carnitas here. I received five huge chunks of salt crusted, roasted pork. Brown and crisp on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I couldn’t finish all the meat and had to give some away. It’s served with beans and rice, pico de gallo, and warm tortillas. Do not be fooled by the picture on the wall, there is much more meat than the picture shows. $ 1 Tacos — Taco Tuesday special! For $ 1 you can get either shredded chicken or pork tacos on Tuesdays. Pick either hard shell(American style) or soft tortilla(Mexican style) and stock up! For the hard shell taco they use the same kind of taco shells that Taco Bell and Del Taco use but the meat quality and flavor is way better. Hey, it’s only $ 1. Flautas — Pick your meat and these are served two per order. They are not that big so if you wanted a flautas meal, double up your order. Pina Coolada($ 5) — Yes, they call them cooladas. You can get Mango, Lime, Pina or Strawberry. I got the Pina and it was perfect… Icy, creamy, foamy, sweet, with lots of coconut and pineapple. Beers — Some of the beers I remember them having are: Corona, Corona Lite, Pacifico, Modelo Especial, Dos XX Ambar, Dos XX Lager, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime and there were others. If you come on Taco Tuesdays there will be a line out the door and your wait could be 15 – 20 minutes. Order and pay first and then they bring the food to you. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Happy Hour is from 2 p.m. — 7 p.m. with $ 1 draft Bud Light, $ 2 domestic bottle beers, $ 3 for wine. Craving food from South of the border? Go to Tia Cori’s an awesome local spot that is over the bridge and just a half mile from the beach. ***Hot Tip*** After you place and pay for your initial order, if you want to open up a tab for additional drinks or food after you seat yourself, they will do that for you. You just can’t open a tab before your initial order.

Great taco spot Stopped here while on vacation with wife, two children(3 and 6) and grandparents. Eveyone enjoyed it. Not a Mexican restaurant, more like a taco stand. Very very good taco stand.

5 stars for an authetic mexican food for a fabulous price! We were in the area and heading back to Orlando, when we needed a lunch for the road. After viewing some awesome reviews for this restaurant, it was a no-brainer. We came around 11ish and I’m glad we did because by time we ordered there was a line out the door. You order at the front cashier, similar to a Tijuana Flats and they bring your order to your table. I ordered a few different types of food on the menu including on Fridays they had a special for the homemade chips and queso… count me in! And the 100th customer gets a free burrito on Fridays, holla! They also offer different types of meat for their tacos and you can get the option of doing ‘mexican style’ or ‘american style’, of course i had to do the mexican style. They also serve margaritas and beers, which we didn’t partake in, but it’s a nice option. Overall, I was satisfied and happy with our visit here… I’d love to go back again when I’m in town.

Tried this place while I was in town for vacation. I had the al pastor tacos and a tamale. The al pastor meat was delicious(though a few pieces were all fat). But the tamale was by far my favorite. The masa was soft, and the chicken inside was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Exactly what I want in a local mom & pop Mexican spot — good, simple, & cheap. I’m just going to go ahead and tell you now — you shouldn’t grab quick Mexican food anywhere else in Daytona Beach, even if you are wearing a suit. Tia Cori’s is on the main stretch of Beach Street, across from the News Journal. They have a nice little set-up with counter ordering & seat-yourself tables; full-service tables, as well as outdoor seating, too. Both the service and the kitchen are quick! Although they have a few platters on the menu — ultimately, this place is a hole-in-the-wall joint, so I think the quick and simple a la carte ordering is the way to go. They are probably most famous for their $ 1.50 tacos(which are only $ 1 on Taco Tuesdays btw). These are your typical street taco style with smaller corn tortillas — but the meat and toppings are plentiful — I usually go with the asada, mexican-style, and ask for a chile toreado(roasted jalapeño) with each one, served with the in-house hot sauce brought to the table. The hottest sauce they offer isn’t overwhelmingly spicy, but it creeps up on you slowly. The green sauce is good, too — I think that is the medium? Unfortunately, you can’t order fish tacos individually, and instead they are only offered in a 3-taco platter option.(This might be my only disappointment — although I totally get it. With so many choices, I just never want 3 of the same thing though!) They also have tostadas and sopes(maybe a thicker variety than some), which are piled pretty generously with beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado — both of which go really well with the barbacoa. The ceviche tostada is a good portion size for $ 4.00 — and while it’s not gourmet and doesn’t have the complex flavors from some high-end ceviches, it is still fresh with a bright punch of flavor, and does the job(not overflowing with shrimp/fish though). While you are busy ordering your own Mexican mini-buffet, be sure to also get one of the homemade tamales — I prefer the chicken option, served with a side of green chile sauce. They are even better if you get a side of pico de gallo($ 1) and dump some on it, and save the rest for your tacos. Warning: The large quesadilla is pretty big and loaded with meat(go with the asada!) While there’s nothing fancy about the place — and your salsa won’t be organic, made from tomatoes grown 2 miles away — Tia Cori’s excels at simple Mexican favorites, with a menu big enough(and affordable enough) that you can pick & choose 1 of everything. And they serve this stuff literally at or near fast-food prices! Add to all of that: homemade tortilla chips, $ 1 draft beers during happy hour, queso that actually has chorizo in it, homemade horchata, $ 5 margaritas, and the occasional mariachi band — and again, I say, you shouldn’t grab quick Mexican food anywhere else in Daytona Beach.
