Stopped in for the first time this past Sunday. My girlfriend and I are looking for a little dive bar to spend our Sunday evenings. We have a few things we are looking for and I decided to review the ones that have little to no information on Unilocal. This is your classic dive bar. The décor, bar and seating are all dated but functional and comfortable. Some older folks at the bar minding their own business, some younger folks that might have been there a little too long. Juke box playing a mix of country, rock and pop. Would have preferred the music to be a bit lower, but the owner/manager did ask if the level was ok and I confirmed it was«fine». Two small tv’s bar side and one old rear projection TV in the seating area. I wouldn’t recommend for watching a big game, but it would be fine to catch a Tiger game or what not. We ordered two cheeseburgers, onion rings and a couple beers. Burger was a good size and tasty. Onion rings were good, but nothing to write home about. Burger was $ 1.25 or $ 1.50 with cheese. Pickles, onions, mild peppers all complimentary with the burger. Bottled beers were $ 2.00, didn’t dare ask if they had any craft beers and I believed I knew the answer anyway. Didn’t see any taps and didn’t ask on that either. I am assuming they have a good selection of domestic bottles. Staff was friendly and attentive. I liked it, she was just«ok» with it. I think we will be back, but the search for«our» place continues. Any suggestions are welcome.

I’ve been a handful of times and I’m really feeling this bar. Denny’s has a limited food menu but their real gem is the $ 1.25 ½lb hamburger. You can add cheese for only a quarter more. It’s a delicious burger, especially for the price. Mixed drinks and shots are really cheap, too. Honestly, I’m not even sure if they have beers on tap because we always order shots or cocktails. The night bartender is a peach, quickly adopting us only after our second visit. I love feeling like a regular at a new place! They have a jukebox(but sadly, no karaōke) to keep things interesting, as well as a couple TVs that show whatever game is on. The place is always dead, and it deserves more recognition… that’s where you come in. After work, grab a drink and a burger at Denny’s. Hopefully you love it as much as I do. Don’t forget to stop at the ATM before coming, as it’s cash only! It’s not a shiny and new bar – hell, it could use a deep cleaning and some updating for sure – but it’s a friendly place with cheap food and drinks.
