I will not go anywhere else! I trust no one but sun nails with my hands and feet! Wonderful staff, never too long of a wait. I’ve been going there for over 10 years!

Last time coming here. They think they’re slick. Chick tried to tell me that a foot massage doesn’t come with the regular pedicure. Since when? She literally punched me in my legs & that was supposed to be a massage. Guess she thought that since I was on the phone that I wasn’t paying attention. No honey, I peep everything. It’s called multitasking. #FOH

The girl that handled my mani/pedi was nice enough and could talk English well. Although I did have to have her repeat herself a couple of times. Her hands are very strong though. She sort of hurt my calves by massaging them so hard. She also used clippers for the skin — I do not like this because what if she should cut me. Oh well. Had the mani/pedi because I had a gift certificate — would I go back — no.

I’m only giving two stars because I had a good experience on my visit before this one I came in 1⁄20 for a pedicure and gel polish(they had a coupon). The lady kept pushing me to upgrade to a $ 45 pedicure which I couldn’t afford. She asked at least 5 times so it was making me uncomfortable. She worked VERY fast(less than the posted Minimum 25 min), was very rough and cut my cuticle too hard making me bleed. Now it’s infected. I almost think she did it on purpose for not upgrading. Then for the gel color — she kept pushing me to get a manicure — now I didn’t want one because she was so rough and I cannot have cuts on my hands at work. She did not stop asking. Did an ok job on nails but all in all it was not a relaxing experience.

In a pinch this isn’t a bad place to visit! I am a little unsure of the level of cleanliness, my usual nail opens freshly sanitized tools with every service. I got a pedicure and full set. I was rushed to choose a color, understandable it was Friday they were very busy. The lady doing my pedicure was busy holding a side conversation with several other employees in their native language. She would stop every so often and slap my feet and laugh. I felt it was a little rude. She did a great job on my toes, but rushed me out of the chair when a friend of hers showed up. I had to wait a few for my fullset. The guy that did my nails was busy training a young girl as he did my nails. The spoke to one another but bearly me. All in all its a cute little shop and they do fairly decent work! If I was pressed for time I would visit them again. I guess I’m just spoiled by my home salon.

I asked for the gel manicure and I received bloody cuticles and a half botched gel manicure! From now on I will be bringing my own tool set with me if I ever decide to visit another nail salon. I didn’t see the manicurists pull out a sanitized cuticle sniper also coupled with the fact that my cuticles were a BLOODY mess! With that ladies and gentlemen we have to be cautious and not assume that those tools are being cleaned. Some of these salons are not being monitored and are allowed to use unsanitary tools on people.

Love this salon. I have been going here since I was a little girl. It’s small, clean and usually quiet because I go in the morning. Lisa is who I go to for nails. She’s honest about color and design ideas and she takes her time, she genuinely loves what she does. Also, her eyebrows couldn’t be more on point! There’s a older man who’s awesome too that my girlfriend goes to, she loves him! Thank you sun nails for my awesome relaxing bi-weekly mani, pedi and brow sessions. I will go here forever!

My sister and I went here because it was close to my house and we were pressed for time. Big mistake. The two ladies doing our pedicures made it very clear that they were talking about us in Mandarin, which was very uncomfortable and quite rude. They also would stop doing anything for minutes at a time, choosing instead to high five each other and continue on with their conversations instead of providing the service we were paying for. When I mentioned we were in a bit of a hurry, they ignored me. The last straw was when my sister got burned by the hot towel treatment, and when she Unilocaled in pain, the lady did not even acknowledge it or apologize. I’ve been here before and received great service, but I doubt I’ll be going back any time soon.

Great gel polish! Lasts a long time. Manicures are weak and short but their pedicures are always nice.

The pedicure was okay, but my manicure was awful. It was 10 minutes long if that tells you something. Three of my cuticles were subtly bleeding and the guy did nothing. When he pushed them back he was too rough and then trimming them he was again too rough. I really hope I don’t get an infection…

Unfortunately I acquired a staph infection after getting a pedicure at the Michigan Avenue location. I won’t be going back to this salon.

Honestly, my experiences there have been hit and miss(more hits than misses). There’s no doubt Sun Nails has mastered the speed eyebrow waxing. You’re done in less than 3 minutes and it’s $ 7. Overall, the pedi experience is pretty good as well, especially now that they’ve added a «deluxe» pedi package, which includes a mud mask on your legs, extensive efforts in callous removal, etc. Of course, they will still do the hot towels and massage. The(finger)nails is the possible hit and miss. They’re really good with full sets or tips. But, with a mani(standard or gel), they may miss the side edge of your nails when they try to clean up whatever might’ve gone outside of the lines, per se. That may not bother some people, but that bothers the crap outta me. I pay you money to paint my whole nail, not 95% of it. 2 big freak accidents that I hope would never happen again — There was lady that works at the new Sun Nails at the strip mall on Mich Ave by Krogers, and apparently was helping out here because the Pelham Sun Nails was busy. Not only was she rough on my hands, one of my cuticles actually started to bleed. I wish I got her name. I’m sure I’ll recognize her though. The second miss — I went in at 6:45 for a mani/pedi and since it wasn’t busy, I had someone doing my mani and pedi at the same time. At 7:15, two of the workers there ran out the door as if someone got into an accident, because the Mich Ave Sun Nails was busy and they had asked me to drive the guy working on my feet to the second store. Seriously? That was super bizarre and rude. And they didn’t even give me a discount. All in all, I suppose I will still go there(for now) since they do do a good job, but ironically, make sure you go when it’s busy, or else you’ll end up having to drive someone to the other store. lol.

This is the best place to visit to get your eyebrows waxed. They only charge $ 7 and it takes about 2 minutes. I found the best time to visit is during a lunch break. They tend to get a little busy in the evening hours.

My girlfriend goes here all the time. They are walk-in unless you have a big group. They can be really crowded or empty depending what time/day you go. My girlfriend has been going there for years to get her eyebrows done.
