The Home Depot

The customer service here is the worst. Not to mention there’s not enough ppl on the floor for as many ppl that walk in. I needed help finding something specific and every time I finally found someone all they’d do was point in a direction n say «right over there» no thanks can u guide me to it instead? What’s «over there» exactly ??? So I went through this numerous times to find what I was looking for .1 of the workers also stared at me like she didn’t know what I was talking about after explaining to her what I needed. Don’t u work here for a reason? Why are u here??? If ur gonna give me A nasty ass look for asking u which shelf something is kept at ??? Anyways. She’s the reason for my 2 star. Not to mention their hot dog stand closes 2 Hrs before they close? Weird.

The customer service here is the absolute worst. I waited for twenty minutes to find a roll of paper. Two other guys waited with me. When someone finally helped me, another employee came with her so she could find out where the paper was also. While two guys waited. I’ve now been standing here for twenty five minutes waiting to get some plywood cut. Three things are going to require an hour and a half because they don’t employ enough people.

This used to be my «go to» place for everything, but for the last year or so, I’ve been disappointed because the items I want aren’t in stock.
I was looking for a snow shovel… Nope!
I needed a water panel for my furnace humidifier… Nope!
I wanted a light bulb for my microwave… Nope!
Lowe’s had all the above. Next time I’ll save myself a trip and go to Lowe’s first!

I was overcharged at this Home Depot. Actual price was clearly marked on display. I noticed the error when I got home so I drove back to the store. I received the difference but they do not comply with Michigan State Consumer Scanner Law which says that the consumer receives up to $ 5.00 when this happens. Dealt with «manager» Hassan Perez. He couldn’t manage a lemonade stand. Maybe it’s only $ 5.00, but how many customers do they take advantage of each day? It adds up. Don’t get ripped off by this store people — beware! I am taking this further through corporate.

This particular store is probably my Home Depot of choice. There is a closer one by me that is on Ford Road, but I feel a tad safer at this Home Depot! Went in for a new door knob and had no problems. Some young man helped me find the perfect one! Now to install it – that is my newest challenge! ha ha!
The parking lot appears clean as well as inside the store. No problems from this customer — good job Home Depot.

Doing some landscaping work on my house for the first time and I went with my mom to pick up some garden supplies. Now, I know nothing about gardening, but I’m trying to learn, and luckily my mom is REALLY good at it so I wasn’t at a total loss walking in with her by my side.
The store is your traditional Home Depot but I dig it. It’s a good size and the prices are fairly reasonable. I bought a ton of bulbs, a few small pots of pansies, and starter herbs and it ended up being much less when all was said and done than I thought. I will admit for shrubs, flowers, and such I discovered Blocks in Romulus had better prices but only by a buck or two per pot so if you have to drive far to get to Blocks it may just even out with gas $$.
The staff here was REALLY nice. I’m not exactly the strongest gal in the world and they had no problem throwing some bags of manure and dirt into my cart and then into our car for us. They also offer free workshops and classes for DIY projects. Great if you want to tackle something yourself but need a little guidance.
My only complaint is that they had VERY little landscaping brick to choose from. At least for patios and walkways. I’m redoing my front sidewalk and was ready to pick out some bricks and they pretty much only had 2 to choose from, neither of which I particularly cared for. I ended up ordering from Lowe’s instead.
They do have additional stock online if you don’t find what you’re looking for (although I wanted to see the brick in person). I had bookmarked a ladder and they didn’t carry a size I wanted in store so I ended up ordering it online. And since it was over $ 50 I got free shipping, so it wasn’t really that big of a deal.
Definitely a solid spot for any home improvement projects you may have.

I’d consider myself more of a Lowe’s girl but this is a really nice Home Depot, so I’ll give it the credit it deserves!
I visited on a Saturday with Jacob, looking to pick up some lumber, folding chairs and a circular saw. We scored a couple badass «$ 50 off $ 100» coupons so we wanted to get the best bang for our buck.
There were tons of employees working! I really don’t see that anywhere except Target in Allen Park. I was impressed. It was nice to be able to ask an employee a question when we couldn’t find what we were looking for.
After a pleasant experience here, I may have to reconsider my status as «Lowe’s Girl».

Employees are friendly and willing to help with anything… even a flat tire in the parking lot.
