I worked here for a sec back in high school. At the time, the manager was a non-​black lady — only she was permitted to touch the register. You are paid off commission and she would steal any sale over $ 100. She also facilitated sex talk among all the young females working there…

If you want a jazzy (do people say that anymore??) outfit, check out C’est La Vie in Fairlane Mall (or there is even one in Oakland Mall). Back in high school, this was definitely the spot to go to get name brand clothing for special functions, such as a party or date. The clothes range in prices, but definitely look upwards of $ 60 if you want a nice pair of jeans or top. Occasionally, they will have a sale or two and maybe a clearance rack. The only thing about this store is that everything is trendy… and just like trends, the outfits may go out of style by the next season. I tend to always have a problem with the customer service girls not being too friendly… but most of them are fresh out of high school so you have to cut them a break and smile.
